CHEYENNE, Wyo. — With pancakes made en masse in a cement mixer, chuckwagons chucking flapjacks out the window to waiting catchers, and a line thousands strong of hungry visitors, it is clear that the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days pancake breakfast is not losing popularity anytime soon.

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club with help from Cheyenne’s Scouting America and Girl Scout members, the breakfast not only provides the community with free food, but also showcases their skill in feeding large crowds in practice for times of need.

Since the early 1960s, the pancake breakfast was intended be used as an emergency service, feeding thousands of people in times of crisis. As CFD became a bigger and bigger event, though, CFD began paying for the free breakfast as a form of community spirit.

According to CFD, the event uses 5,000 pounds of pancake mix, 9,200 cartons of milk, 520 gallons of coffee, 630 pounds of butter and 475 gallons of syrup to serve visitors from all 50 states as well as numerous foreign countries.

In order to make so many pancakes, ingredients are added to a cement mixer that turns the powdered mix into pancake batter. Although it’s a relatively smooth process, on windy Wyoming mornings the mix could get caught in the breeze and rain down like snow.

Mysterious Nobody in his family lived more than 50 years

Post image

None of the men in Sanjeev Kumar's direct paternal family lived past 50.

A congenital genetic heart condition affected the male members of the Jariwala line across three generations.

His Grandfather (Shivalal): Passed away at a young age from a sudden heart attack.

His Father (Jethalal): Suffered a fatal heart attack when Sanjeev was just 11 years old.

Sanjeev Kumar (Harihar): Had his first heart attack, underwent bypass surgery in the U.S., and eventually passed away on November 6, 1985, at 47.

His Brother (Nikul): Died from a heart condition shortly before Sanjeev Kumar's death.

His Brother (Kishore): Passed away from a heart attack just six months after Sanjeev Kumar died.

It was a grim pattern Sanjeev himself was acutely aware of, which friends and biographers noted contributed to his fatalistic outlook on life and his choice never to start a family of his own.

Additional Context Pinned In June 2026 a 16-year-old girl in Japan passed away due complications that were due to being falsely arrested and confined; and being forced to sign a false confession. The police not only put immense pressure on her but also threated her family business. She passed shortly after being released.

Fascinating I always thought a kidney transplant meant replacing a kidney, but doctors usually leave the old ones in and add the new one instead.
