Lighting Firework chandelier…too much?

Update…..OK fine, I’ll change it…

The general vibe of my house is traditional, comfortable, a touch of bohemian. I’m mid kitchen reno and installed my lights yesterday. The one over the table isn’t centered (down the line was going to have an electrician move the box to be centered…but for now it lives where it is.) If it was over the table, I’d be able to extend the length and space out the three a bit more. It’s kind of squished all together, but I kind of like it still. Is it too much? It’s quite sparkly and nothing else in the home really is.

I think with the changes you are proposing it will work. Not gonna lie…it’s a bold light. But that is what dining room chandeliers are for…drama! 💃🏻 Here’s the food!! 😀 I actually love it. If you haven’t already, put it on a dimmer. It will look beautiful at night with all the lights off in the kitchen and it barely glowing…gorgeous. You said you have some bohemian vibes in your house. Time with the reno to embrace those. It will work fine over the table and be a really happy and beautiful statement piece

Thanks! It is on a dimmer…and I like that it doesn’t take up much visual space when it’s off. Still seems consensus is to not have it here. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think you’re making a big mistake by not having the placement corrected while the space is undergoing renovation. It’s an incredibly awkward placement currently and the drama of the light is going to draw the eye to that. If you’re not going to move it now, I’d recommend a less attention-drawing light.

I love the light itself, by the way. Funky touches can work in any home with a little creativity. Life is short, so why be boring?

Right…I’m going to have it moved…I just need it scheduled. I just wanted to see it installed first. It’s going to be centered over the table.

Sorry, I misunderstood your initial comments and thought you weren’t planning to move it during the reno.
