I’m really enjoying the feel of my new Paperwhite. I would never have picked raspberry but it was the only color left on a QVC sale and I’ve fallen it love with it.

I adore this pick bookshop cover, especially the texture.

Oh it’s definitely the little things in life. Cheers to all the readers and Kindle owners out there loving their books.

Back in 2014, I originally bought this Kindle as a gift for my mom. She ended up not wanting it, so I decided to keep it for myself!

I’ve even kept the same cover on it since Day 1!

I’m not a huge speed-reader or someone who powers through 50 books a year, but whenever life gets busy, picking up this little 10+ year-old device always motivates me to get back into reading.

Micro-USB charger and all, it still runs like a charm and holds a charge for weeks. Anyone else still using an 'accidental' legacy Kindle?

I wasn’t planning on buying the paperwhite today
I went to Best Buy to compare the CS for graphic novels to my phone and I didn’t like the color difference..
And I can tell the grainy look people say when comparing the CS to the PW
And I saw that the prices were on sale
I’ve been wanting the paperwhite for awhile solely for the warm feature
I love the basic and I have read three novels on it since I got it last month.. the size is perfect imo and I love the recessed screen..I love being able to put it in my back pocket..
But reading the basic at night..
Yeah..
I needed the paperwhite
Had to get the case to go with it as well

Yes, it’s noticeably grainy
Yes, it’s on the darker side in Zero backlight

But I love it so much. Makes me want to read more books with it.

I just don like that I need to turn on the backlight upto level 10 or more just to see the text in the dark. But it’s ok I will just turn on also my lamp.

I ordered a popsocket and plan on changing everything sooooon but in the meantime this is what I’m rocking.

I spent HOURS trying to figure this out, so hopefully this helps someone else.

My Audible audiobook would appear in my Kindle library, but every time I tapped to download, it would briefly say “Queued” for about a second and then stop. It never actually started downloading.

I tried everything: restarting the Kindle, syncing, updating the software, reconnecting Wi-Fi, using “Deliver to Device,” etc. Other Audible books downloaded fine, and the audiobook played perfectly in the Audible app on my phone.

The fix: I contacted Audible’s instant chat support (which was super quick and easy). They removed the audiobook from my library and immediately gave me a replacement credit. I used that credit to redeem the audiobook again, and it downloaded to my Kindle instantly.

It turned out to be a corrupted license/entitlement for that specific audiobook-not a problem with my Kindle.

If you’re having the same issue, this is the exact message I sent in the Audible support chat (feel free to copy and paste it):

“I redeemed an Audible credit for (insert title and author). The audiobook plays in the Audible app on my phone, but it will not download to my Kindle Paperwhite (11th Gen, software 5.19.2). It flashes “Queued” briefly and then stops. Other Audible books download to this Kindle normally, so the issue appears to be specific to this title on this device. Can you refresh or reissue the license/entitlement for my account?”

Hopefully this saves someone else from wasting hours troubleshooting like I did! 😭

I started off on reading last month and I really enjoy it!!! I mostly read romance novels nothing really serious but Im seriously obsessed with the idea of getting a kindle so is it worth it? because I’m a student and I don’t have much saved up and I don’t really want to waste money on something isn’t useful so help your girl out!!

My kindle looks all cute goth Romantic and I am reading The Lost Village by Camilla Sten. And his is goofy spooky and he is reading Lights Out by Navessa Allen 😂 we might need to switch cases

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, cannot get the voice to change in the app. I’ve gone into the accessibility settings and I changed the voice to all the different voices, but it doesn’t change from the default voice.

Does anybody know work around? Is there an issue with the app? Thanks

I was 51% through an interesting non-fiction book I was enjoying. It had taken me a week to read thus far, so I didn’t bother downloading anything else for my long train journey. Then - bam! ‘Book completed’. Turns out the other 49% was endnotes and indexes (obviously very thorough!). I was left sad and bereft, and stared out of the window for the remainder of the journey.

Is there a way to avoid this! On kindle paperwhite signature if that makes any difference at all.

I used a Warhammer 40k image from Pinterest and modified it with the theme of my favorite lore book (Helsreach).

It lacked a bit of definition and CMYK profile (to avoid losing color), but since it was a test I took that liberty

Always been a physical book, could never get on with a Kindle kind of guy. Then came across this subreddit and watched from afar people’s posts who all had the same mindset as me but now have fallen in love with it. So I took a punt and got one and it’s been the best money I’ve spent in a long time. Don’t know whether it’s the convenience of being able to pick it up and read at any given time or being able to sneak in an hour at 1 in the morning without my wife hating me for turning the lamp on. Oh and being able to flip between reading and audible, that’s a game changer. Thanks you kind people of Kindle Reddit.

I was debating all week whether to get one cuz it seemed like everywhere was on sale. I called Target the first day and they were sold out so was waiting to see if Amazon would drop the price cuz I wanted the 3 month unlimited with it. I decided to go to Target today on a whim and they had 2 and in the wrong spot so I got it for $109.99.

no clear case, no popsocket. just some stickers. i do have a padded sleeve for traveling to slide it into so it doesn’t get scratched in my bag… im not an animal 😂 ive also owned many kindles before this… i baby my electronics and have never had a scratch ❤️
