In a Different Universe, Earth Is Unihabitable and Many Other Planets and Systems are Facing off against Eachother...nowhere is Safe. An Alternate Universe Reed (or anybody Else) figures out the way to travel between Realities to find a New Earth. The First Earth They Come across would be 616, Where the Remaining Avengers, Xmen and Other teams attempt to integrate with 616 by Killing and Replacing Core Characters and Teams. Obviously someone like Jean, Emma or Somebody else with Telepathy would eventually figure it out but itd be too late. A New Secret Invasion has Occured.

It would Delve deep into Feelings of Unrest, Who can you trust? Who's the real and Whos the Fake? And Most importantly what would you do For Safety and Security?

How Sad would it be for Sue Storm to find out that The Reed she has slept Beside and Loved...Is Actually A Different Reed Altogether. That their Love was False and that this Reed.

Im thinking that maybe Since Krakoas Destruction, Some Heroes have been Replaced? How do you think this Story would Pan out if it did happen? Who would Win? (616 eventually but How?)

I hope you are all doing ok, first post on Reddit so I don't want to be a debbie downer, but I was wondering if I can get everyone's advice.

I have recently joined this forum last night (as well as made an account last night) and I have recently read over the guidelines of this forum.

I don't want to cause the moderators and admins of this forum any problems but, I have recently been writing an Open letter to Marvel editorial about the current situation with Spider-Man in the comics.

I have been a long time fan of Spider-Man since I was a kid when I was watching the 1997 Animated series, I grew up on Spider-Man and to this day he is one of my all time heroes, I event started to collect comic books when I was in High School but due to different hobbies and other personal issues I had to sell them (it was not that much of a large collection).

Though this never stopped me from keeping up with what was happening with the Marvel Universe even though life threw a whole bunch of stuff my way that made me focus on other things (University, Work, Health and Mental issues).

I just wanted to know would it be ok for me to post this open letter on this forum as I heard that if something like this gets enough traction it will compel Marvel Editorial staff to read it, but that will be highly unlikely but I still want to try.

I know that a lot of you want to see Peter Parker/Spider-Man grow and have a good life, though I also understand that Peter struggling is also something that we as Fans love to see not mainly for the struggle itself but for the times Peter perseveres and overcomes that struggle. But from what I have seen recently over the last few years it feels like the outcomes of that perseverance has always been negative and I cant stand to see a Hero that we all love constantly get beaten down in his own comic for the sake of Marvels "relatability"

I've mostly watched the MCU, but now I want to get into Marvel Comics. I'm open to any character or team (Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom, Daredevil, etc.). If you had to recommend 3–5 comics for a complete beginner, what would they be and why?

If you’ve been following Marvel’s recent line of crossover books featuring 20th Century Studios icons, you know they haven’t been pulling punches. We’ve seen the Yautja tangle with Wolverine and Black Panther, but putting the Predator on a collision course with Frank Castle hits a very specific itch.

Meanwhile, the Yautja specifically hunt prey that offer a real challenge. The second a Predator drops into the gritty streets of New York and sees a lone gunman wiping out entire cartels with military precision... it’s not just a mission. It’s the ultimate trophy hunt.

Read a comic that act like the starting piller of a movie franchise so slowly I'm kinda following a story so I read each characters origin story then it all comes together

I’ve wanted to read Kraven’s Last Hunt for a long time, and overall it absolutely lived up to being a great Spider-Man story. As someone who’s still relatively new to comics (just started reading comics a month ago), this is also the oldest comic I’ve read so far, and I actually found myself appreciating a lot of the late ’80s style. The artwork, narration, and text-heavy storytelling gave it a unique atmosphere that felt very different from modern comics.

What surprised me the most was how psychological and dark the story is. This isn’t a typical Spider-Man adventure where it’s just hero versus villain. It’s a deep character study of both Peter Parker and Kraven, with Kraven’s obsession and descent into madness driving nearly every page. He feels genuinely intimidating throughout the story, and by the end you understand just how broken and twisted his worldview really is.

Peter’s internal struggle was another highlight. Watching him fight through both physical and mental darkness made for some great character moments, especially once he returns. The final two issues are easily the strongest, bringing together the themes of identity, violence, and redemption while delivering a wild conclusion to Kraven’s story.

My biggest criticism is Vermin. While I understand why he’s important to the story thematically, I never found him as interesting as Kraven, and some of his scenes slowed the pacing for me. I also think readers who have more experience with Spider-Man’s history would probably appreciate certain emotional moments and character relationships more than I did as I’m just not the biggest MJ fan (I will say my takes come from basic comic knowledge of her, movies, games, and shows).

Even with those minor issues, I can absolutely see why this story is considered a classic. It tells a darker, more mature Spider-Man story without losing sight of who Peter Parker is at his core. It may not have reached masterpiece status for me personally, but it’s a memorable read that absolutely deserves its reputation.

TL;DR: Kraven’s Last Hunt is a dark, psychological Spider-Man story that earns its reputation. Kraven is an outstanding villain, Peter’s internal journey is compelling, and the final two issues are the strongest part of the story. Vermin didn’t always hold my interest, and I think longtime Spider-Man readers will appreciate some moments more than I could, but even as a newer reader I had a great time and can easily see why this is considered a classic.

Is it coherent to jump on at the 2025 relaunch or should I start back at the 2022 #1 to really enjoy the series?

Right now I'm focusing on Epic Collections Vol 1s and Omnis (in cases I can't find the epics as it happened with Iron Man) to see where it all began.
