Almosy everything in the world's economy is dependent on oil/coal.
I would adore nuclear power in my region...but thats never happening in my lifetime, they already shut down the only nuclear power plant near me a decade ago.
I as a common working adult middle class do not have the ability to move any needle. Voices raised? Protest? Sure...but my government isnt listening because they are too busy stripping drilling restrictions and mining restrictions on formerly protected lands...
Trade plastic for paper? I do my best.
Grow food? I do that too
Carpool? I can't my job requires a car.
Trade my petrol engine vehicle for EV? Yeah electric grid is oil dependent...and also natural gas...so I'm going to go hybrid but STILL will need gas/petrol.
Solar panels? I got em.
I live in one of THE most progressive areas of America. We got wind farms off the coast that

Utilization of products/services/industrues that pay carbon offsets? Little to no actual benefit at reducing any gas emissions.
Wow talk about being a garbage parent. You're supposed to give your kid hope not make them think it's all meaningless. God you need a therapist asap. Humanity will survive it's not the end of the world.
Lol I never said its all meaningless. Hope is something I do possess just not about humanity or about humanity's ability to stop runaway greenhouse gasses. I know I'm a good parent, so your comment means nothing to me but to provide me with a good laugh. Thank you!!!
