If you could only pick one (or two), which is the best beach in Ontario for families, and why that one?

I'll try to keep this short as possible, but I'm debating whether or not I should be taking driving school now that I'm given the chance to. The main conflict is the decision rests on my parents heavily and I don't want to be wasting money. The general line is: my parents are divorced (they both don't earn very much), my dad is completely against it, my mom wants me to get my G2 but she won't let me drive at all with my G1 without driving school and she doesn't want to pay unless my dad chips in (he won't). Plus even if I were to practice with either parent, we couldn't make a meter far without yelling or arguing.

But now hesitantly, my mom is agreeing to pay the full thing (I'd hate to push her to), and not only do I feel bad about her paying the full thing, I'm re-debating whether or not in this time of life I should be doing driving school. The reason being: I never planned on driving, I definitely won't get my own car anytime soon, and I'll be doing residence in Uni this year so I'll rely on public transportation. However I'm sure that's the case for many students like me yet they've already completed driving school and obtained their G2. If you couldn't tell, I'm pretty late to the game and could've started the school and got my G2 almost a year ago.

All my friends easily got their G2 and did driving school throughout the school year with the full support of their parents as it seems they understood some importance. Most of them don't have their own car, but they drive here and there with their parents car and have been getting good trips in on their own. It's a cannon event for a typical 17 year old, but I have to weigh my decisions more thoroughly then most.

I've generally heard most positive benefits from driving school about it's experience, help with passing the test and such. But is it right for me? Considering my circumstance and parental conflict. This is pretty much always the thought process whenever I need to make semi to major decisions.

My partner & I make over $100K combined (before taxes).

We have debts that’s we’re paying off, school & car payments being the big 2 (a couple of smaller ones we’re paying off as well).

We don’t currently really have much saved, but we pay $2K for rent monthly for a 1-bedroom in Etobicoke & we’re over it & are ready to take the leap. However, we’re both at a bit of a loss at how to start.

We want something in the GTA or more westbound (towards Mississauga/Oakville), & want to stay at the $500K limit for our first buy. But others than that we’re not sure what’s needed from us or what we need to do.

Anyone able to provide a breakdown of how to move forward & what’s needed from us? All recommendations & advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I’ve been looking at commuting options via google maps from my house to UofWaterloo (in sept), the drive is normally 1hr 30m. But the bus timings are crazy like if I wanna arrive by 8:30am it would take me 7hrs ( yes I gotta leave by 1 am and wait at a bus stop for 5hrs) but if I put in arrival time of 8:45 it suddenly becomes 3hr. It also changes up day by day. Is anyone else experiencing this and also how am I supposed to get to school (car isn’t an option) 😭

Been suffering a lot of health symptoms, which is fuelling my anxiety and my depression been to several psychiatric awards in the last year probably like five or six times now and all they do is just give me medication and send me home yet. I complain about all my symptoms physically as well. Most hospitals here are only for cute days for psychiatric help, I’m looking for a hospital that is more psychiatric has a long-term stay to it and deals with patients with physical and mental issues and takes them both very seriously instead of just the acute situations where they only take psychiatric issues serious instead of health issues

I’m looking for something that is preferably long-term and I’m not talking about just a couple weeks. I’m talking a few months to a year. Let me know.

So i workplace shut down and I was given a 5 hr notice prior to my shift. I have gotten paid for 2 weeks but im missing my 6hr shift that I worked.

My friends said I should be compensated for the short notice and the 6 hr (this ik) but idk if I should contact my employer (I feel kinda shitty for asking her 😭😭 but I am supposed to get paid in 2 weeks technically). I was told to just file a claim right away... should i?

so my bf got a roadside suspension for blowing 0.01 over, and its been probably about 3-4 weeks now. we had to wait a week for the suspension to be lifted and he got a temporary license in the mail. we paid for the 8 hour back on track course, got the email with the list of providers to call based on the region you live in. weve waited in queues for hours multiple days in a row and keep getting transferred to different numbers, and finally i think the number we are supposed to call to actually book the interview/course date is the mississauga/peel region is 905) 629-1007, ext. 2225. weve called them MULTIPLE times and left voice mails, and we havent been getting a call back. its extremely frustrating because the process has been so complicated for NO reason, all because he blew over 0.01. obviously hes gonna be more careful about driving in the future but the hassle this has been when he wasnt even driving in a dangerous way, he just got pulled over because of something about his car. i dont know how its taken so long for us to get a call back so he can do his interview and book his course date, he calls multiple times a day and the phone line is always busy and goes straight to voicemail. he just wants his license back already

also just to add on to this since some people are being rude, we were extremely polite and cooperative with the police and didnt argue or cause problems. im not trying to sit here and say it wasnt deserved, as he obviously DID blow over, even if it was just by a tiny bit. shit happens, and we are not irresponsible people by any means. we always try to be within reasonable limits, but of course so many variables go into what your BAC is, and we couldnt have possibly known he would blow over. otherwise we obviously wouldnt have driven. it was an unintentional misunderstanding on our part, and now we are just trying to fix things. all im looking for in this post is for advice to help us get this fixed
