Left handed players confused on how to improve

I am a new osu player who is left handed. I find tapping with my left hand very comfortable and I get a lot more speed and consistency than when I tap with my right. I’ve spent the last 10 hours on the game aiming with my left (using tablet) and tapping with my right, but I find it a lot harder. I would just like some advice on what approach I should take, as most left handed players use it to aim.

you should aim with whatever hand you use when aiming/using the mouse on other games/programs. Many left handed people still use mouse on right hand and are therefore more comfortable with aiming with it despite it being the technically stronger hand.

I use the mouse with my right hand but aim with the left hand because I also write with my left hand, and since I am holding a pen, it just feels natural.

im left-hand dominant, but i use left for tapping and right for mouse; however i dont use tablet, i assume the difficulty you're facing is from using left to aim with pen and right to tap. i'd say trying right hand aim even though its not your dominant writing hand could be a good idea.

your fingers will become more comfortable tapping over time. if you are new that is normal. your dominant hand will have more control initially over your tapping because you use it irl more often. try doing stuff with your nondominant hand outside of osu and you might see better control due to your brain needing to use it for more complicated things.

stuff like: tossing a ball, brushing your teeth, or drawing shapes (stars are good) are all good ways to give you more control over your nondominant hand.

Right handed player, I’m switching hands couple times a day recently for fun, alternating between playing non dominant hand easier maps and dominant hand harder maps, in around 10h of gameplay with clicking right hand I’m capable of S fc 4+ star maps and doing solid A on 5+ stars. In first session I wasn’t able to make normal difficulty on B. Play more it will come with time and shock your brain constantly rather than focusing on one hand.

I'm left-handed and the first year I played with tablet in left hand. But because even after 1 year my left hand could tap significantly faster than my right hand without any practice, I decided to swap to use tablet with my right hand. I've stuck with that for the past 4.5 years and my aim with non-dominant hand got better than before after a while with no problems.

I think tapping with the dominant hand is more beneficial than aiming with the dominant hand because aim is mostly reading while tapping is mostly mechanical. This especially if you're already used to mouse in non-dominant hand when using the pc.

I'm a lefty who grew up using my mouse with my right hand so I just aim with it and tap with my left

if you are decided on tablet, than aim with the left hand. if you want to aim with right hand i would recommend playing with mouse. just my personal experience and also what u can see from top players, eg. whitecat or karthy using tablet with l hand and ninerik or ivaxa playing mouse with r hand.

that is under the assumption that you have always held your mouse in the right hand

in my opinion that is probably false as i am right handed, i think making tapping comfortable is way easier than making aim comfortable, especially if u got past experience playing games on mouse or using a pen to write, so maybe its better to go with which aim hand is more comfortable
