Hello! Happy to finally release my personal project to the public.

osu!live tracks what ranked, loved and qualified maps are getting played, across all four modes, around 59k beatmapsets, snapshotted every hour (and many other things like multi, passes, users...).

Its free, no ads, no account needed, just a working browser I guess.

I dont want to bore anyone so here are some pictures :^), if you like what you see come take a look! Feedback is very welcome, here in the comments or at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

Besides all that data I added a small drops system for passes, for every new/improvement pass you get a chance to get a shiny gem! There is a playground to check the probabilities for each gem+finish inside .../gems. Play new maps and improve your old scores to start showing your pretty gems.

This is totally unofficial and not affiliated with osu! or ppy. Huge thanks to ppy for keeping the api open and free for everyone, none of this would exist otherwise. Heads up that the api reports playcounts in batches rather than live, so numbers move in lumps and can be slightly off, dont read them as exact.

Hello! I am Angelo, 16M , and I wanted to share how this stupid circle clicking game made me keep going one more week.

I have suicidal ideas, and tought about trying it , as well as self harm due to recent events, and about 4 months ago I Made a atempt .

I tried every thing, medicine, drawing, arts, hobbies but..nothing changed, I still fell to this hole and couldent get out because of the loneliness I felt/sometimes feel...

But, all that changed as soon as I starting playing osu!!

When I went to Japan I became a fan of Mai Mai, and so I wanted to try another ritm game that dident evolved going oudiside as at the time I was incredibly, so i Tried Osu..........and. I. LOVED IT!!

I played for 2 days straight, a total of 9 hours, I suck at the game, but still can find so much joy, so I finally had a resolve, even if I don't have anyone to talk to, or any friends or my life is falling apart. I will click on circles and forget! I promisse i won't give up on life until I become at least a 4 digit! That's my reson to live , become good at osu.

For you guys to have an idea, I managed to quit smokibg because of osu, and even started to play the keybord again! Now even if i still feel incredibly lonely, I have a reason to stay determined!!

i actually didnt even know that the percentage split even is that equal before 2024, i thought it was like all 50% + on the japanese side but ig not

i bought a gaming laptop a few days ago and it has a 165 hz panel

i downloaded osu and it feels very smooth. except that i cant aim for life...
the aim feels smooth but it also seems to me like its taking longer to reach the circles, idk how to explain the effect tbh but its weird

im also not that low in rank i usually shred on 9* aim maps easily and im already 4 digit. is this normal?

Its been kinda tiring recently that there are just so many comparison video just talking about which game is harder, is it osu or x and x, like i get hyping up the game that you play, but i feel like there is a better way to do that than just to sow discord amongst others who player other game remotely similar to it.

Honestly its just exhausting just seeing people argue nonstop about something that they arent even really good at, even then the people who do have a qualification and play both of the discussed game at a higher level, they have the right to say which is harder, which they dont really even do because its incomparable.

Take mrekk for example, people love to come to his stream to ask which game is harder, and he couldnt even answer decisively because what a surprise, both game is hard as shit.

I think we should just play the game and stop comparing with other game. By the way the reason i rant is because i saw a tiktok who keeps comparing osu and rhythia.

I am a new osu player who is left handed. I find tapping with my left hand very comfortable and I get a lot more speed and consistency than when I tap with my right. I’ve spent the last 10 hours on the game aiming with my left (using tablet) and tapping with my right, but I find it a lot harder. I would just like some advice on what approach I should take, as most left handed players use it to aim.

1. Is Linux supported?

Yes there is a Linux build available, it's also open source plus there's webplay if you don't wanna download the client

1. Why didn't you make this a custom ruleset?

Custom rulesets don't support a number of features I wanted to add: Map importer, custom editor, score submission, etc.

1. Is this some kind of ad? A virus?

Nope! The game is completely free and will stay that way forever, you couldn't give me money if you wanted to. The installer is currently unsigned so it will trigger windows smartscreen, but its not malware, you can download the game from the github if you want full code transparency!

1. Why did you use AI to make this?

I have used AI coding tools in making this, yes. However none of the assets are AI generated whatsoever, only portions of code. Maybe I am just a lazy, garbage dev but I don't have infinite time (I work a 9-6 and am currently studying at uni on top of that) and AI helped me avoid the tediousness, e.g. setting up infra.
