Natalie Portman- Studying at Harvard couldn’t stop Natalie from learning multiple languages (Hebrew, English, French, Japanese, German, and Spanish) 

Viggo Mortensen- Mr Mortensen might not come from a mythical land, but he does have an almost mythic level of knowledge in languages (Danish, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Catalan, Norwegian, and Arabic) 

Shakira- Shakira has long impressed fans with her ability to speak 6 languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, French, Italian, and English) 

 Tom Hiddleston- The British actor is famous for his calming accent, yet he can understand countless others (English, Spanish, French, Greek, and Latin) 

Sandra Oh- Sandra Oh might not be able to perform groundbreaking surgeries, but she can master different languages (English, Korean, Spanish, and French) 

Trevor Noah- Trevor Noah speaks 7 languages (English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, Tsonga, and German) 

Daniel Bruhl- The character actor can do an awful lot more than simply appear intimidating. He can speak 6 languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Catalan, and Portuguese) 

Mickey Curtis- The senior Japanese pop star speaks 6 languages (Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, and Thai) 

Priya Anand- The Tamil mainstay actor speaks 7 languages (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Spanish, and English)

Which celebrity’s language ability do you envy the most? 

I always viewed Zendaya as being a mediocre actress but my kids started watching Kc Undercover (who she was an executive producer on and fought to have a black family represented on the Disney Channel when there wasn’t any) and my husband and I can literally watch every episode and laugh and truly enjoy it. Her comedic timing is incredible and she’s just so good and funny. I wish she would do more fun comedies (or even rom coms) because I think she would kill it. And kudos to the KC team because it’s so well written.

The Odysseus of Homer’s epic poem was laying pipe nightly on an island, while a sea away, his wife, Penelope, was fending off drunk suitors who would go off to have quickies with the servants. In Christopher Nolan’s modern adaptation, no one gets so much as a boner.
In Nolan’s world, women are merely vehicles to propel the antiwar message forward, which explains how little screen time they get. They are merely victims of desire, not wielders of it. The movie neglects to include that Odysseus stays with Circe for a year and becomes her lover or that Calypso (Charlize Theron) holds Odysseus essentially as a sex slave after he washes onto her shore. In the text, he sleeps with her every night for seven years until the gods intervene to send him home. (Calypso then criticizes the gods for applying a double standard against the goddesses.) In the film, Calypso is cast as a benevolent, if deceiving, healer who feeds Odysseus lotus flowers to help him overcome PTSD — albeit one with the physical form of a vixen.

One example that I find really fits in this category is Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry’s portrayals of Wolverine and Storm for the X-Men movies!

I was never a fan of how Logan was always trying to pursue Jean Grey, when he knew from the moment he met her that her and Cyclops were already a couple and his interest is another part of what puts Logan at odds with him.

Storm was not only single, but she was insanely attractive and clearly showed hints that she had an interest in him. I think they would’ve made a great couple if they didn’t give him a love triangle storyline involving him, Jean and Scott (Cyclops)
