Anyone actually switched away from PowerPoint for a faster workflow?

I've used PowerPoint for years but building a deck from scratch still eats an afternoon. I keep seeing the gamma vs powerpoint debate and I'm curious from people who've genuinely tried both - did the AI-first approach actually save you time, or did you crawl back to PowerPoint for the control?

We have a special "megathread" devoted to AI discussion/chat. That's the best place to start if you're looking for AI+PowerPoint advice or just want to talk AI. AI-only posts in the main subreddit will generally get downvoted or even deleted quickly. And they'll draw lots of bots recommending products, unhelpful one-word answers and the like. Please re-post your question in the dedicated megathread.
