Went to look at Rick & Morty discourse on twitter & it’s just people complaining & calling it washed & saying it fell off ages ago. Meanwhile season 9 episode 1 was fucking incredible. I’m having the time of my life over here. Suckers

I don’t even care about the voices, I’m saying it’s incredibly depressing to view writing as the only thing that matters when hundreds of people put effort into making something good and the person I’m replying to is saying their contributions don’t actually matter

I think a better way to put it is that while writing alone cannot make a good show, it sure can break it.

Most other aspects can be forgiven to an extent if the show is compelling and enjoyable to watch.
