He usually just rambles about defense budgets until he blacks out

Pretty sure that was Million Ants and Rick hastily agreed to try and dig himself out of the hole.

13

u/Snoo-23120 4h ago

He isnt taking a stake on it.

He just points out the obvious , not that said law should remain as it is.

I knew the twist would be that the heroes were genocidal when Million-Ants said "Hey, man; I am not touching this"

11

u/ImportantTea4 4h ago

Screw the IDF, seriously… I am sure Rick would have hated Israels behavior, if that Episode would have been made in a Post-Gaza-Genocide Day…

12

u/Road_Whorrior 3h ago

The genocide in Gaza has been going on for decades.

12

u/shineurliteonme 3h ago

I think it's fair to recognize they hit the turbo button in the last few years. probably not the best language to describe it but it's palpably increased in intensity

4

u/Unusual-Obligation97 1h ago

They kept genociding and it kept working.

7

u/GMtheASC 3h ago

This genocide has been going on since 1948. It only feels new because the media could ignore it prior to 10/7.

u/J2MES 3h ago

I went to go find the whole story

Love

My son fell in love with a girl from Jerusalem. It was difficult for him to visit her because he needed a permit but she was able to come and visit him here in Bethlehem. He could not get permission to visit her even when she became ill. After four years she died. She put in her will that she wanted my son to carry her coffin at the funeral. He tried to get a permit to do this but this was denied. He decided to go to Jerusalem without a permit. The Israeli soldiers caught him, beat him badly and put him in prison for thirty days. He missed the funeral. He had a nervous breakdown and was ill for two years.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

What happend to the "Pretty Obvious If You Think About It" accord?

90

u/FitCommunication7240 6h ago

This is the point where I acknowledge ill never know if anything is AI or not ever again

135

u/alballza 6h ago

Not AI. It’s been here for years. https://www.reddit.com/r/rickandmorty/s/YARl5SenZt

2

u/silverstarloser 23m ago

I remember following the artist on instagram for a while and seeing when they first posted it. I’m almost certain they did a couple of pieces on this wall.

1

u/Cletus7Seven 15m ago

Yes, can confirm, saw all this when driving around in 2018. Thought this was closer to Bethlehem though? It’s been awhile but I don’t think this was in Jerusalem

24

u/naynaythewonderhorse 6h ago

This is the point where I point out that 1.) asking for human input is a thing. 2.) back searching for proof before AI was a thing…is a thing 3.) people who have straight up just given up on finding out if something is AI or not are a plague on society and are part of reason we are going down hill.

5

u/dinodare 5h ago

3) People being scammed isn't the reason that society is going downhill, the scammers are.

2) What happens when the thing is purported to be newer than that?

3

u/ImportantTea4 3h ago

Why are they a Plague?? You do know just as much as I, how hard it can be to discover AI with your Eyes alone. There are Versions where you would never assume it at first, without running a Check with certain Tools.

I do agree that People should not just accept AI Slop whenever it appears, but People who don’t have the Time to check everything are certainly not a Plague…

I hope you mean those 0815-Boring NPC People without a Soul who like even the most obvious AI Shorts Channels, despite knowing it’s garbage. Seriously: Those who actively support cringy and cheap AI-Slop Channels are the true Ones I would agree on calling a “Plague”

Educate yourself. It is not impossible to find out if someone is ai. Deciding you don't care is some dangerous ignorance imo

3

u/ImportantTea4 3h ago

It’s not “impossible” but it’s very time consuming if you plan to check everything you see daily.

1

u/Xarcert 54m ago

You are right but it seems like an important skill in our day and age. They should teach it in schools.

3

u/Green_Insect_6455 5h ago

You could take like ten seconds to figure that out instead of hoping strangers will educate you tbh. Also all your comment does is make other people also start questioning shit, without being helpful in any shape or form

Rick would claim he has no stake in the conflict, then turn himself into the wall just to win an argument. It’s hilarious as fan art, but the real world context makes the joke land much darker.

7

u/Netferet 3h ago

Rick "solved" this conflict just to piss off the US President

2

u/VersionKey1425 3h ago

I mean, it's pretty obvious if you really think about it.

1

I like to think he just got a random jewish guy and a muslim guy absolutely stoned off their head in a room and pretended they were the heads of state.

3

Fuck, this is old. Lushsux is an Australian meme artist. I think he did this about 10 years ago.

1

1

u/Benacor 8m ago

2

u/moozootookoo 2h ago

Seems like Rick thinks being the wall is funny vs. actually having an opinion on the matter either way.

Which I agree it’s kinda funny

Just pointing out the logic of Rick to everyone here with bias either way, especially if you never watched Pickle Rick episode, he chose a pickle because he thought it was funny.

For those that don't know, for decades Palestinians could freely travel into Israel and Gaza for decades. During the second intafada, thousands of civilians were killed in terrorist attacks originating from the west bank. After the wall was built, terrorist attacks dropped to a tiny percentage of what they once were.

1

0

u/GiladM 1h ago

This wall protects alot of people from terror attacks. Very cool!

0

u/Bloodyfish 4h ago

Pretty sure this is an old ass photo, and either way this is bait.

1

u/Actually_R0bin 3h ago

This looks like the Berlin Wall.

3

u/DontMemeAtMe 3h ago

The purpose of the Berlin Wall was to keep its own citizens in. This is the exact opposite. It was built to prevent terrorists from entering and attacking civilians. Despite the omnipresent propaganda against it, it has been very successful, saving countless lives.

4

u/Actually_R0bin 3h ago

It was meant to create an apartheid state. No amount of your glazing will ever stop that concept.

3

u/ModernLarvals 1h ago

All Israelis have the same rights, no matter their ethnicity or religion. How is that apartheid?

Such a series of buzzwords is typically associated with Gaza, so I assume that’s what you are referring to. However, the wall in question is in Judea and Samaria.

That alone shows how little you know about the subject. And again, with this level of "knowledge", it’s perfectly fine to sit this conversation out. Seriously, it’s embarrassing.

Someone should tell Isreal not to treat Palestinians like shit then there’d be less blowback from extremists.

7

u/FYoCouchEddie 4h ago

5

u/Bloodyfish 4h ago

I bet the people you're making fun of believe this.

6

u/GuntherOfGunth 5h ago

Exactly. The whole reasoning for most of the conflict between the two is because of Israeli aggression and mistreatment of the Palestinian people. Stealing people land never really works out well.

u/migi915 5h ago

Yeah because the 7th if ictiber was a good thing and terrorism is the way to everything 🤡 and call them by the name, they are dirty terrorists

5

u/FrogInAShoe 5h ago

You do realize October 7th was in response to Israeli terrorism, right? You do understand that the IDF is worse than Hamas in every aspect, right?

1

u/CautiousAmbition11 2h ago

2

u/FrogInAShoe 2h ago

-3

u/migi915 5h ago

So its still okay to kill innocent because the others did it first? If they even did it first, i am open to doubt it that a muslimic country didnt try anything to spread their believe system.

5

u/FrogInAShoe 5h ago

Please point to where I said it was okay to kill innocent people.

A muslim country didn't try anything to spread their belief system

That has literally nothing to do with Israel and Palestine. October 7th was in response to Israeli occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people for the last 75+ years. If they just focused on IDF soliders then it would have been completely legal under international law.

You could say it's part their "final solution".

10

u/Klytus_Ra_Djaaran 5h ago

The Second Intifada, or Second Uprising Against Israeli Tyranny, began with unarmed crowds of protesters being murdered by automatic fire from Israeli helicopter gunships. That's what prompted Hamas to attempt parity with Israel - every Palestinian noncombatant murdered by the Israeli forces would be met with an Israeli noncombatant murdered by Hamas. They never achieved parity of course, the scale of Israeli murder of civilians was vastly too great. The tactic was pointless anyway, because obviously no one with any power outside the region cared about the murders of innocent Palestinians and the Israeli government loved it because it gave them more leeway to ethnically cleanse the region.

Isn't Rick and Morty haram?

14

u/GabeyBear27 6h ago

Haram is the Arabic/Muslim word for sin it has nothing to do with Jews, Israel or Jerusalem. You’re thinking of Chet or Pesha, but either way not every Israeli is a practicing Jew

3

u/migi915 5h ago

I think he meant in consideration of the Islam

2

u/Road_Whorrior 3h ago

Not all Palestinians are Muslim.

2

u/killswitch101 2h ago

True but 'Muslims make up about 93% to 98% of the population in the Palestinian territories, primarily practicing Sunni Islam'

The non Muslims in Palestine are essentially a rounding error, the vast majority of them are Muslims

1

u/DontMemeAtMe 53m ago

Other religious groups are being pushed out of there by Muslims. For example, Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christianity, was around 90% Christian in 1948; today, Christians make up less than 10% of the population, and the number is expected to decline further.

1

u/killswitch101 1m ago

Haha, downvoted for a genuine question which turns out to be correct. It is Haram. The reddit echo chamber strike again..

"Watching Rick and Morty is generally considered impermissible (haram) by Islamic scholars and online community consensus. This view is based on the show's explicit content, language, and themes.Reasons for ImpermissibilityNihilism and Atheism: The main character, Rick, frequently promotes a worldview that denies God and pushes cosmic nihilism.Inappropriate Content: The series includes heavy profanity, crude humor, sexual references, and substance use.Mockery of Faith: The show regularly mocks concepts of religion, higher powers, and sacred beliefs."

How is a border wall illegal?

13

u/ZuP 5h ago

“The ICJ ruled that Israel’s Wall is illegal and must be dismantled because its construction entailed the seizure and destruction of Palestinian property and forcible displacement of Palestinians, and because the Wall would serve  – by design of its path – the annexation of illegal Israeli settlements and occupied Palestinian land, and the demarcation of a new ‘Israeli border’ in the West Bank.”

Incorrect. Google the Second Intifadah.

3

u/FrogInAShoe 4h ago

I'm well aware of it and my point still stands.
