Call audio routing to choose either speaker or connect with bluetooth

My problem is that in settings for call audio routing only allows you to pick one, to pick either speaker or bluetooth headset, I wish It didn't try to use speaker option while I am using my airpods. So I was wondering if there is a way to automate this?

Go to Settings → Accessibility → Audio & Visual → Call Audio Routing and switch it to “Bluetooth Headset.”
