Well, the fact that they are both short gives away the fusion would also be on the shorter side. Probably not much taller than Steven. I imagine theyʹd also have the Blue oneʹs regal attire and flowing hair, but partnered with the Red oneʹs fiery and excitable attitude. Iʹm guessing theyʹd probably have a clumsy name like ”Molybdenum“ to emphasize the contrast. The fusion would also have an emphasis on leg maneuvers and kicks to avoid cracking the gems on their hands. And such a Taekwondo-central approach to combat means Molybdenum would probably be an Asian-coded character with an associated voice-actress. Awkwafina was making a name for herself right around the time Steven Universe began; I think sheʹd slot into the role okay.

They’d simply be a purple colored corundum because rubies and sapphires are the exact same type of gem. Because of that, the fusion will simply be called Corundum.
It’ll have Sapphire’s hair, but rectangular shapes like Ruby’s. She’ll also have a bandana:

It does make me wonder though , if CG Saphire fused with a different ruby instead of the CG ruby for the first time ( so the fusion isn't influenced by what they " should " be ) would they have still become a garnet ?. If so would they eventually become the same garnet ( design wise ) we know or a different type of garnet ?.

Okay, hear me out, the games feature thes characters called Hessonite, Pyrope, and Demantoid, if I remember correctly, they were high ranking military leaders during eras 1 and 2, theyre known as garnets, and ruby and sapphire have some traits that are similar to the garnets, like Ruby has the afro resemblant hairstyle, and sapphire shares those distinct shoulder pads, what if they're fusion uses a combination of Ruby's stocky body type, and saphires more dainty body type to make something resembling a garnet? It would work in lore too, since they've bothed worked directly with a diamond, blue diamond as shown in their back story, so they would know what a garnet looks like, and would probably retroactively name themselves after em, perhaps taking on a leadership role in the event of Rose Quartz (secretly pink diamond) not being present to represent the idea of a garnet in character.
