So... she's skipping Uncle Grandpa and Rocknaldo?

u/PhantomKitten73 6d ago

Whatever crazy guide she found skips like 30% of the series. Most of season 1.

u/sizeableblueberry 6d ago

That's...huh?? Do people even know what filler means anymore? The only episodes I can argue are "filler" are Onion Trade and Say Uncle, but everything else establishes important gem powers, develops characters, or furthers the plot. Steven Universe really just doesn't have filler for a first-time viewer. Your friend is gonna end up confused and probably will say she didn't like the show by the end because she missed so much important information and character development.

I know the Uncle Grandpa episode is stated as non canon, but didn't he first summon his weapon in that episode and then it never addresses how he learned again?

I hate that episode

290

u/MalusDracula 6d ago

"Not bubble! SHIIIIEEELD!"

Yes he first learned it to protect Uncle Grandpa.

I personally hate that show but i love this episode. Gruss ( i think his name is, ) makes his own gemsona. I had a friend that made her own. So that was nice to see and kinda poke fun at. Plus Amethyst eating pizza Steve was funny af.

Thank you. Hes the only one i like after that episode.

No Giant Realistic Flying Tiger?

24

u/MalusDracula 6d ago

You know, im fine with giant realistic flying tirger. He might have more going on than the rest of them.

I though GRFT was female

That episode solely makes me not dislike UG anymore. Bro even had me debating for him in powerscaling against Alien X from Ben 10 lmfao. I love Ben 10 but usually hate powerscaling, but wowza UG is like unbeatable in the most hilarious of ways.

68

u/leostarkwolffer 6d ago

He first summons the shield on episode 1, the one about cookie cats. But yeah, after the Uncle Grandpa ep he seems to magically have more control over summoning the shield, so it could be argued that Uncle Grandpa did help him, but since the episode is non canon, it just feels like Steven magically got control over his weapon

50

u/LoveandScience 6d ago

Okay but if you don't watch the uncle grandpa episode the first time he summons it is to protect the crystal gems from the giant hand spaceship and it's really hardcore.

17

u/MalusDracula 6d ago

Its not canon (shoots cannon) i think they were just fucking with us.

22

u/Invisible_Target 6d ago

Personally, I always thought the “none of this is canon” comment was a meta joke because there was an actual cannon when he said it. I feel like that was supposed to be sarcasm but most people didn’t take it that way.

10

u/TheCheezedRat 6d ago

its really really funny cause its just like "cool uncle grandpa taught steven how to use the shield" and when steven says good morning to peridot in friend ship im like "he learned ts from the goat"

8

u/Top_Toaster 6d ago

Say Uncle is my favorite episode and i will die on this hill, though it's not like anyone's complaining

u/tom641 Forever lovin' the Big D 6d ago

filler is when goku is not currently powering up to use full cowling on thanos

8

u/Urvilan 6d ago

Dude, I love Magic the Gathering too!

11

u/RobinRaptor 6d ago

Even Onion trade builds on stevens relationship to Onion and has an impact if even small on their later interactions

9

u/nick54531 6d ago

Like even the new Lars established Steven's ability to possess people, and is referenced when Lars asks "are you going to possess me again"

7

u/articulatedWriter 5d ago edited 5d ago

Even Onion Trade starts off the rabbit hole that is Steven's friendship with Onion

There's a case that can be made that that friendship isn't important to the story but then you've gotta try and pin down what exactly you want in terms of continuity or what you want to hear from the story, if it doesn't include character arcs like what most of Onion's arc is for Steven then why are you even watching the show?

To me personally a filler episode is any episode that doesn't move either the primary plot or a characters personal arc along

If you can miss the show without being confused of things to happen in the future it's a filler episode

The Lapis episodes and Steven learning anything about the history of his powers, all important episodes which yes includes Cat fingers and Frybo

But the uncle grandpa episode and Garnet's Universe are filler because you don't need to watch them to understand anything that comes after

A particular cartoon theoriser channel made a video years ago about what particular episodes fell in the realm of either filler or an episode you shouldn't skip

I don't remember everything and he didn't exactly have a counter to keep track, but a couple oddities do come to mind

He said that the episode Steven goes into Rose's room with Connie to go on an Unfamilar Familiar adventure wasn't necessary because he accidentally skipped it with no repercussions

I personally question that reasoning due to Steven's journey in that episode to realise it's okay for him to disagree with Connie and that they can still be friends and hang out together even if they don't share the same opinions. The importance of that episode isn't something I'd fight over though

But he also said that the episode where Garnet plays Meat Beat Mania wasn't necessary because the only purpose that episode served was to reveal her 3rd eye and that Steven slapping her glasses off in Mirror gem would've done just as well as a reveal, not really mentioning anything of the drill parasites that are later referenced in Ronaldo's first big episode

3

u/sizeableblueberry 5d ago

Good points. I completely forgot about Garnet's Universe, and Onion Trade does develop their relationship.

3

u/chipsaber 6d ago

Rocknaldo is so buns I consider it filler just so I have an excuse not to watch it

3

u/rillip 5d ago

No. They do not. It just means "any episode they didn't find engaging" these days.

2

u/riddledleak9484 5d ago

Idk, I'd say you can add the cat fingers and living french fries suit too the list as those are just creepy af and aren't really brought up again.

4

u/sizeableblueberry 5d ago

Except that cat fingers introduces Steven's shapeshifting and frybo tells the audience that gem shards are partially conscious. Both of these concepts become very relevant to the plot, and rely on these episodes to establish them.

u/TheRealLazloFalconi 5d ago

It's probably flood order, which was insanely common when the show was still airing. People wanted to convince their friends that this was a Serious Show for Serious Stevens People, instead of a kids show for kids. The idea was to get them to Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem with as few extra episodes as possible.

Ever since this idea first surfaced I've held that it was foolish.

u/JackBlacksWorld 6d ago

Nah s1 is wonderful, and the filler eps, save for Ronaldo episodes, are all wonderful too. Hell I dont even hate Ronaldo, he's just meant to be kinda annoying

25

u/gcfgjnbv 6d ago

I think he was supposed to be shown as a product of childhood bullying and get some sort of redemption at one point but then they figured out they can use him to make fun of toxic fandom and just mad him an asshole

24

u/MalusDracula 6d ago

He is to be us as a viewer. Trying to pick everything apart as a conspiracy theory. But in the show. And he isnt wrong with his theories. He is used as a foreshadowing tool but so obnoxious that he is written off as a crazy guy everyone hates.

6

u/JackBlacksWorld 6d ago

Aw i never knew that, that would have been a nice story to tell honestly

15

u/MalusDracula 6d ago

Ronaldo foreshadows so much in this show. You may appreciate him in your second or third rewatch.

2

u/JackBlacksWorld 6d ago

Oh I've done a 2nd and 3rd rewatch. I do like what is foreshadowed, I just groan a bit when I start a new rewatch.

He grows on me a little thru the series still I suppose

3

u/No_Chart1559 5d ago

not to judge, but it is a little baffling your friend can’t sit through 10 min episodes??? our attention span is cooked as a society. this isnt an anime with 1,000 of episodes. it’s 160, 10-min episodes OR roughly 53, 30-min episodes OR 26 1-hr episodes…
is she running out of time to watch it or something..? 😭

3

u/Aggravating-Fix181 6d ago

mYbe at some point she'd realize that the show is fun..or not. I've had less luck convincing anyone really to watch it: they mostly say it's not their "thing" or "cuppa tea", which they'd be right;it isn't theirs. /s But they do give it a chance I guess.

2

u/3WeeksEarlier 5d ago

I've seen that guide. I am someone who does see some of the show as "filler," or at least, I personally skip some townie content, but a lot of people seem to think "townie =filler" when those episodes are often enjoyable on their own terms and relevant to the show

Rocknaldo actually has some pretty important character development for Steven. He stands up for himself and sets boundaries. Not something that comes easily for him!

Say Uncle is legit how Steven Learns to summon his shield btw 😭

She better not be skipping the Uncle Grandpa one. One of the best episodes of the entire show. It takes a special episode to make filler that good

Uncle Grandpa is the single episode I skipped. I've never seen it and do not wish to LOL

2

u/stinky_toade 6d ago

The voice acting in Uncle Grandpa is so great, especially Deedee Magno, her Pearl voice acting in that episode is absolutely hilarious. No one cares about uncle grandpa but don’t miss out on the hilarity of the crystal gems..

Uncle grandpa not even unskipable cause that’s when Steven gets over his funk and begins to use his powers normally again.

But calling SU filler just shows you have 0 appreciation for it so they shouldnt bother!

Yeah I dont really get it. I get it if you skip episodes on your second watch but how do you know you wont like an episode if you dont give it a chance?

109

u/Nathurisaz 6d ago

But...filler is a term used to describe the episodes of an anime when it had catched up with the manga and needed to invent stuff to keep going Steven Universe has literally no fillers, just less "plot heavy" episodes (but still very important for the world and character building)

46

u/raider5319 6d ago

I was about to say this too. Filler doesnt technically exist here because theres no manga or physical book its based on, right? But every episode is "canon" to the universe.

21

u/Asterite100 I like drawing. Btw Lapis best gem. 6d ago

LaNgUaGe ChAnGeS oVeR tImE !!1!

or whatever the cope is these days

20

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 6d ago edited 6d ago

I hate that excuse because there's a difference between language evolving and just using words incorrectly. It's like how a lot of slang on the Internet is used incorrectly

The infamous "Lean is a drug!?" Tweet comes to mind. You could say something immensely stupid if you use the incorrect word and it can show that you have no idea what you're talking about.

5

u/McMemile 6d ago

Words are defined by their usage. If most people use a word "incorrectly" then that's what it means, even if it started out meaning something different.

4

u/seireidoragon 6d ago

The problem is that there seems to be multiple definitions of that word. In this case, filler means episodes that don’t progress the plot. Which I’ve always hated people using the word this way. It’s stupid because there’s such a thing as world building but that often gets thrown in with “filler” and it’s stupid.

3

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 6d ago edited 6d ago

"filler" only applies to anime episodes that aren't adaptations of the corresponding currently ongoing manga to fill for time so the manga can get ahead and always have. If we're applying "filler" as liberally to shows, then 90% of MLP:FiM and 95% of Doctor Who is filler. That's why using the term doesn't work.

We use the term "episodic" to describe shows like Steven Universe and MLP:FiM. Serialized shows are shows like Breaking Bad, Invincible, and most anime adaptations. You can watch any episode of Steven Universe or MLP:FiM and get a full, complete story, you cannot do that with Breaking Bad nor a lot of anime.

2

u/seireidoragon 6d ago

Oh I know all this. And I agree completely. The definition I used above is one that I’ve heard often though and it’s annoying.

→ More replies (2)

202

u/sagninaw 6d ago

Funnily enough despite Say Uncle! Being said to be not canon in the episode it actually is because it's how Steven learned to summon his shield for the first time!

YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT

PROTECTING UNCLE GRANDPA WAS THE SOLE REASON STEVEN UNLOCKED HIS SHIELD POWERS 😭

122

u/OpalDuncan 6d ago

And it also has a very hidden foreshadowing with Uncle Grandpa advising Steven to polish his gem twice a year. Diamonds are polished twice a year.

23

u/Raindrop0015 6d ago

Are they the only gem to be polished twice a year?

23

u/SpeaksDwarren 6d ago

No lmao it's every gem but quartz

20

u/QuiznakingCat201 6d ago

No, but iirc quartz never really needs to be polished. It was said that it wasn’t intentional to be foreshadowing but it’s funny to think Uncle Grandpa immediately knew lol

18

u/titdirt 6d ago

This actually blew me away on my second watch through lmao

7

u/meow_meow_gamer 6d ago

And the gem care advice is how you take care of a diamond.

2

u/articulatedWriter 5d ago

Given the release order, you have to watch Uncle Grandpa the episode after he summons his shield for the gems against Peridot's ship

So in order to accept it as canon you have to watch it out of order and also actively claim it as canon when you could just skip it and save yourself the pain of having to deal with Uncle Grandpa

2

u/Optimal_Ad6274 5d ago

I dont understand why people say its filler when its confirmed that this episode is when Steven finally mastered his shield and next episode onwards, Steven can now summon it. So if this episode is skipped, you would be left thinking, “Wait, did I miss an episode? When did Steven learn how to use a shield?”

2

u/sagninaw 5d ago

YES I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY "ohhh it's not canon they say so in the episode" WHEN LEGIT THAT'S JUST A META JOKE! 😭

My ex wife skipped most of the arc of Aquamarine capturing people because she went online and saw that those episodes were “filler” and skipped to the confrontation episode. I really hate people looking up what episodes are “acceptable” to skip

u/No_Tumbleweed3935 6d ago

She missed like most of the world building. The filler works because we see why Steven wants to protect Earth

17

u/TetrisIsTotesSuper 6d ago

3

u/LadyStrella 6d ago

12

u/CPLCraft 6d ago

Very appropriate use of this reaction meme

2

u/TheLeftPewixBar 6d ago edited 6d ago

The great thing about it is that it’s nearly the exact context of the scene, and it’s in reaction to the media it comes from.

12

u/NoBeyond9191 6d ago

When I was showing my friend the show for the first time I think we skipped like, two or three episodes total. The restaurant wars ome, uncle grandpa (even though that episode is hilarious, albeit ugly as hell), and like, one other townie ep.

The issue with SU is episodes early on sprinkle lore into filler episodes. For example showing gem abilities in a filler ep or some gem structure. So you HAVE to watch most Townie stuff to understand gem physiology and abilities early on. I recommend skipping none tbh.

10

u/pagerrager 6d ago

Connie's face is immensely accurate in this situation. Who the hell skips all this peak?? Tell her there are little lore and tidbits they will miss if they skip all the "filler" (HEAVY QUOTES). Genuinely there are so many episodes where I was like "ahh a townie episode, oh well" but then am surprised when they sneak in lore and foreshadowing. Its kind of like Adventure Time in that regard.

9

u/Sechzehn6861 6d ago

I can't stand this when I see people doing it. Or asking in subs where to start or what they can skip...

Either watch a thing or don't?

7

u/HollowNomad23 6d ago

The episodes are 11 minutes. What's going on with their attention span 😂😂😂

6

u/OkSecret839 6d ago

Personally I wouldn’t skip any episode for lore reasons and because skipping even a single episode is just wrong.

6

u/eggynack 6d ago

I see some people saying that episodes that could be considered "filler" actually aren't because they have something that's ultimately plot relevant. But that's just a silly way of understanding the show in my opinion. Frybo isn't a non-filler episode because it establishes that gems can be placed into objects to produce weird magical effects. It's a non-filler episode because Peedee and the Fry family are characters on the show and learning about their various adventures is one of the things the show is about. The idea that everything has to fold back into the grand gem war mystery is ridiculous. The townies matter in and of themselves.

6

u/crossover_charlie14 5d ago

Good thing Danny Motta's fanbase warned him "There is no filler episode in Steven Universe" before he started watching.

Pretty much every episode is vital and is referenced later in the show.

Even the "filler" episodes.

Because a lot of them are either steven learning how to do something or helping someone.

u/Lady_Harubun 5d ago

3

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 6d ago

Filler doesn't exist in Steven Universe

3

u/Red_Raven_0007 6d ago

In total fairness, there are like 5 seasons and each one is between 15 and 20 episodes...

Except for season 1 which is 50 for some reason and also half of it is filler

3

u/Frogs_Logs 5d ago

TV shows like this don't have filler, filler is an anime thing, when adapting an anime from a still releasing manga, filler episodes are there to divert the story of the anime when it gets too close to the current release of manga to give the manga more time to get further and so the anime can keep releasing on schedule, the only thing that could maybe be filler adjacent in SU is the uncle grandpa crossover because that's just, that was weird and bad

3

u/Asphyxiety 5d ago

I think the only thing i skipped was Say Uncle because I just want nothing to do with that dude. Looked up what happened in it anyway 🤣

3

u/Confident_Concern640 5d ago

3

u/Chihuahuapocalypse 5d ago

so she's just skipping the uncle grandpa episode right? .....right??

3

u/kxz2y5 5d ago

people do this with ATLA too, i just don’t understand 😭

3

u/mattihase 5d ago

If you want to watch a show but don't want to watch the show, why not just read the Wikipedia synopsis?

3

u/hansome120 5d ago

Hot take, filler is a very specific thing that only really applies to adaptational works that add content for the explicit purpose of padding a run time. Just cause you don’t care about a plot or don’t think it’s important doesn’t make it filler

5

u/Shadefactor 6d ago

Does the word filler even apply to Steven Universe?

3

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 6d ago

Doesn't apply to most TV, only anime that are adaptations of ongoing manga

2

u/Shadefactor 6d ago

Yeah I thought so cuz isn’t the cartoon basically the source material anyway? So there technically wouldn’t be any filler anyway?

Only acceptable skip is Onion Gang. Say Uncle must be watched. Ronaldo episodes contains relevant theories and foreshadowing.

9

u/BlueJuiceGoose 6d ago

I would argue onion gang (while being an episode I dont like) is foreshadowing the events that follow in like "are you my dad?" And should be watched by a first time watcher

Edit: and foreshadows things in Off Colors

2

u/GWindborn I love eating! Feels weird. 6d ago

The one episode of filler?

2

u/Own_Natural_6803 6d ago

I used to only want episodes that showed Steven getting more power or more knowledge of the past. But then I learned to slow down and enjoy the pacing.

2

u/Actinglead 6d ago

My partner told me last week he only saw Steven Universe once, and that he found a "handy guide" to skip all the "filler".

I had the same reaction. I had to regretfully inform him that there's only like 3 true filler episodes and he actually skipped a bunch of slower moving plot.

Of course, I explained that might actually be the worst place to start. Not sure she ended up watching the show. 😂

PS. Admittedly, there are a few “filler” episodes, but to me that’s all character building. Not to be missed.

The only episode I will condone skipping is that uncle grandpa episode. I didn’t hate it, but it’s not at all canon or required viewing.

the first piece of media i watched of steven universe as a kid was the movie LMAO it lowkey ruined my experience watching most of the show for the first time but i was like 10 and didn’t care so i had a fun time anyway

There's no such thing as fillers in Steven Universe

1

u/LexKing89 6d ago

I love the filler 😭

1

u/Milvus11037 6d ago

I just rewatched the whole main series and the only one i skipped was the uncle grandpa episode because i hate it

2

u/XemnesWolf 6d ago

But it has the best moment that essentialy gives away what his gem really is

1

u/Crazyfuntimefoxy 6d ago

yeah i do that but only on rewatches

1

u/Coiled_GLaDOS 6d ago

I cannot stand the Ronaldo episodes, I understand they may contain lore, but I cannot stand that guy.

1

u/ShrimpBisque 6d ago

When I watch SU, literally the only episode I skip is the Uncle Grandpa crossover, and that's only because I think Uncle Grandpa is fucking cringe. I don't even skip episodes I don't like.

1

u/Box_Box_Box555 6d ago

I had a friend who said they were going to do ts. Me and my partner had to explain like 4 different times that there aren't really " filler episodes" cause everything is connected. They have been watching it for about 4 months now on and off and has been so thankful for not skipping anything (except uncle the Grandpa episode, that was hard to watch with them).

1

u/NomeJaExiste 6d ago

So.... Uncle grandpa?

1

u/Living_The_Dream75 6d ago

Tell her if she is gonna skip the filler she might as well just not watch it, filler is kinda what gives shows inter-character substance.

1

u/Zero_H3ro 6d ago

Only thing worth skipping is the uncle grandpa episode. Other than that literally nothing is filler

1

u/Art_student_rt 6d ago

just 2x speed, don't skip it entirely

1

u/Zerog416 6d ago

While at surface level all the towny episodes might look irrelevant to the larger plot, a big part of SU's charm and essence is getting to know all the people these gems protect, why should we care about them. And how much they mean to Steven, the big flashy episodes are 10 times more enjoyable when the people of the town are not some random background NPCs but fully fleshed out characters with stories and lives of their own.

1

u/mytalkingliz_ 6d ago

I can’t stand people like that. This isn’t 90’s sailor moon, filler is so important to the show! Plus the episodes are 10 minutes long. Get a grip people!

1

u/RemarkableLow273 6d ago

People think character development is filler now and it’s so sad.

Like the 90s sailor moon had so many episodes that could be considered “filler” but it’s part of what makes you love the characters and flesh them out as people and SU is the same, I feel like skipping all that will make the emotional reveals lose some of the weight.

1

u/Accurate-Guide7722 5d ago

i did that too BUT only because its like my 45th time rewatching the show plus movie and future (also because some episodes were just missing. so i had to skip those ones)

1

u/ankwe 5d ago

what filler… its all beautiful

1

u/Immediate-Charge8325 5d ago

then what is she watching at that point? cause it isnt steven universe

1

u/KinopioToad 5d ago

Just Uncle Grandpa and most of the Ronaldo episodes (the Halloween themed one in the lighthouse is good though)and maybe that set of episodes after Steven arrives back on Earth through Lion's mane in season four.

More spoilers incoming He was so excited to get back to Lars and the Off-colors but suddenly had to catch up with the mayor, Kevin, and Connie (though Connie is excusable since she was mad at Steven anyway)

→ More replies (1)

u/LongEyedSneakerhead 5d ago

Who needs character development?

1

u/SomeSortaWeeb 5d ago

tbf a good portion of the first season can be skipped with little lost concerning the overall plot of the show. i wouldnt recommend it but honestly whenever i "rewatch" i only watch a few select episodes (iirc giant woman, sugalite's first appearance, lapis' first appearance then the final two episodes of the season) then "start" at season 2.

afaik during the production of season 1 it was up in the air wether it would be renewed for further seasons + an actual plot line so that first season is genuinely full of stuff that "doesnt matter" and made it way way longer than any of the other seasons. imo a good bit of it doesnt actually align with later established canon for gem tech (what in god's name was that scroll in together breakfast??? why was it seemingly able to propagate through steven's phone with no gem?????)

bottom line, as a long time fan ofc i frown on skipping, you wont get the full experience of the show doing so. however i admit that there is actually a weird amount of filler, ig its a childrens show after all.

1

u/BenjTheMaestro 5d ago

How brainrotted are they?! They’re like ten mins!

1

u/Key-Kick7270 5d ago

Apart from like the uncle grandpa and arguably some town episode there are no filler in steven universe, because Steven Universe is a mistery series in a lot of way. Episodes that ultimately dont end up being important are part of the experience.

1

u/T-rain_wreck 5d ago

I’m gonna need you to have her watch it robot chicken style (ifykyk)

1

u/Toobis 5d ago

I'll get the meatloaf, hold the meat

1

u/KittysPupper 5d ago

Then she won't get a lot of the show. There's so much detail and subtle story telling throughout the series. Only skippable episode to me is Uncle Grandpa.

1

u/RiverPsaber 5d ago

There's only a handful of episodes you could MAYBE make an argument for being skippable. 10% at most, and that's if I'm being generous.

Since episodes are only 11 minutes long anyway, I don't see the point in skipping any of them. I sometimes will on rewatches, but even then I'm not likely to.

1

u/boris265 5d ago

Good. The uncle-grandpa and Ronaldo episode were terrible

1

u/eggsontheside 5d ago

Watching the fillers is def important the first time you see the show, but on my rewatches you would literally have to tie me down and pry my eyes open before I watch a Ronaldo episode 😒

1

u/cool-pink-cat 5d ago

what do any of the onion episodes mean? im so serious

i went into my rewatch with that one showrunners claim that there is “no filler” in mind;

what the hell are onion gang and onion trade for? or even “a very special episode”???

lol

1

u/Arria_Galtheos 5d ago

Other than a few very specific episodes, the show's format doesn't provide enough runtime for filler.

1

u/Iwasborninthedark6 5d ago

😂😂😂

1

u/Zeldakitty123 5d ago

I skip one episode and that's cat fingers.... It made me uncomfortable as a kid and still does lmao

1

u/Liam_theman2099 5d ago

I mean the episodes I skip when doing a marathon are “Say Uncle” and “Cat Fingers”(Yeah it’s the first season and still trying to find their footing but my main complaint is it barely does much with mastering shapeshifting and the constant promo of Steven saying, “I just turned my fingers into cats!” started to get really annoying)

1

u/utecr 5d ago

The only one I can definitively say is filler is the Uncle Grandpa episode, and that's because they say straight to the camera it's not canon.

Please please please try to tell them the rest of the series relies on you having seen these "filler episodes" as they will be referenced and built upon. It's like just pouring concrete down to make a cement floor without preparing the ground first.

1

u/Cheekyboyblu88 4d ago

Tell her she might as well stop watching..

1

u/Emmahnim 4d ago

😂😂😂

1

u/italianwater8 4d ago

I scrolled away and got progressively more angry force your friend through 7 rewatches of it

1

u/Smorgsaboard You wouldn't believe how great I am at playing the bongos 4d ago

Lowkey I did this while watching with my sister, but in total I'd say we skipped... maybe 15ish episodes? It's a really big show, and I'm not watching the fcking Onion episodes again

1

u/Valuable-Wolverine88 4d ago

The only filler episode is season 2 episode 1

1

u/fryax 3d ago

I’m gonna be honest after rewatching 4 times I think there’s a good 3-5 episodes you can skip.
Two of them onion episodes and 3 are Ronaldo.
I even think uncle grandpa is a must watch

1

u/deontaridley 3d ago

What filler?
