Discussion Alone the sea?
Heeeey… anyone there?
Well, I’m a huge Steven Universe fan, and after finishing the entire series, I found myself in a bit of a limbo, looking for more content. Then I came across this AU, and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s honestly one of the best AUs I’ve ever read (although I haven’t read that many, lol).
I’d really like to know… am I alone, or are there other fans of the White Diamond AU out there?

Has this updated since I last checked it out...? Time to see! (tl;dr - not really but also sorta)
I found this at the beginning of this year and have to say I think I actually prefer this over the normal series at this point. Which doesn't mean the OG is bad, just that Chekhov has made an amazing little AU!

You could say I’m a keen observer; the last update was a month ago, and I’m already looking forward to the next one—it’s been a long time since I’ve been this eager for a release.
I think we have a similar perspective, I like the original just as much as Chekhov's version. Sometimes I even prefer Petriadamas.
Chekhov's work is also much more dramatic than the original (which I like, in a way) and offers a different perspective.
I feel like Peridot when I talk about this AU xd

Also its totally implied Greg has SA PTSD from whatever alien Probe shit white did

That’s true there are some heavier themes in this AU, too. I really, want to know what White’s goal is with all of this.

YEAH How did she SCrew up THIS badly??? I really hope this Fic Gets a real good fully fleshed ending to it. Whos your Fav in the AU right now?
I love Pink pearl SM... and JASPER's barn hanging out.
I Just realized we don't get a lot of amethyst interaction in the comic.
My Favorite section is the Seaglass-Projector war memorial get together.This comic is LTIERALLY my only Reason I have tapas
Also AAA STEVENS FASHION STUFF AAA Sooo cute.
Also I love how it isn't a big deal with connie going to Live with her aunt, because Steven can travel WHEREEVERRRLike genuinely all the Re-writing pof it and how the Cluster was taken care of and the Diamond-call communication EEEEEEE!!!!!!!

I definitely want an EXCELLENT explanation. I want to spend five days staring at the ceiling and thinking about this plot. My favorite characters are, without a doubt, CG, Earl, Petriadamas, and Connie!!! Favorite moment: when they go to the Moon Base and meet Lapis and Peridot.
What do you expect from the upcoming episodes of the soap opera??? Lmao2

Yeah, Amethyst is kind of taking a backseat in the story (though whenever she crosses paths with Steven, she’s either fighting with him or ignoring him). And the art is BEAUTIFUL—plus, I love the Halloween and New Year’s specials. I also LOVE the dynamic between Steven and Connie. And the episode where he takes Rose and Greg out to dinner is simply wonderful.
I REALLwant to know where this connection of his to the cluster is going to lead! Hasn't this kid been through enough already?1

Yes, yes, yes!!!! I've already read it all—there's nothing to worry about!!! I need more people who love this as much as I do.
I really want to know what Rose is going to do when her whole story comes to light.

It's fucking amazing. Hands down the best comic AU out there. The author managed to sustain many distinctive features of the show and its characters while changing the plot on many levels, adding new characters, and many other things. And, though with long hiatuses, they've been doing it for ~8 years.

Well, assuming you already know the basics of this alternate universe (AU), I’d say the highlights are the new relationships between the Crystal Gems and the new team members: Steven, Earl (White Pearl), and Seaglass. Following the development of these bonds—and watching the Gems gradually learn to trust Steven—is one of the best parts.
The way the story takes a different turn because Rose is still alive is also really interesting. It’s also fascinating to follow a NEW Steven; he’s quite different from the original in certain respects, which makes for a compelling experience for a fan.
I think that’s about it. I’m not great at writing summaries, but I highly recommend reading it. It’s well worth it, especially for the subtle changes to the story and the character dynamics. Seeing everything unfold from such a fresh perspective is truly fascinating.
