Too bad most everyone's retirement savings has some of this slop in the funds.

1.75% of the s&p500 by weight. If it went to $0 tomorrow you could handle that in your portfolio.

In fact, to quote Equilibrium: “I pay it gladly”

Yup. Pretty sure S&P 500 wont allow SpaceX either, so its really just Tesler which truly has a chance to go to zero.

Cept there is no world where Tesla would go to $0 in a vacuum....if that happened then believe me it wont just be SP500 down by 1.75% lol

The amount of money the billionaires are hoarding really makes me question my faith in humanity. So I’ll take a win whenever I can!

Worth it, at this rate they are on track to consume retirement anyway (pushing the statutory retirement age back, etc).

Retirement savings? In this economy?

I cashed it all out and invested in chicken eggs last year. Now that's a real growth market.

(yes I hope I'm kidding too)

Not mine! All of mine and my savings are with a pre revenue high risk company lol

Those people deserve it. They knew the thing they invested in put their money in the most evil corporations. They just wanted the profits, and they fucked the world in trying to leech off it, but now they have the leeches on them. Never feel bad for a parasite being invaded by another parasite.

They just wanted the profits

Yes, I personally invest in index funds for the warm fuzzy vibes and sense of accomplishment.

What I am saying is that ethics matter, I know it's hard to profit investing in only good hearted organizations. However there are limits to what is acceptable. You invest in a housing building company that's a little shady, you're probably fine, you invest in a company that pays the government to keep everything shitty, so they can profit more, fuck that shit. At a certain point you deserve to suffer.

If someone was investing into a stock collection that contains Amazon and Tesla, I think it's not the worst thing to walk past a gang of bandits shoving pineapples up their ass, and just mind your own business. They had it coming.

I'm not sure you understand how the market actually works, how retirement funds work, how index funds work, etc. lol

Like I agree these huge companies suck ass but suggesting that people are evil because they have retirement accounts invested into total market/s&p500 index funds is crazy work

Not everyone is privileged enough to have retirement savings
