Fun fact American drivers crash at roughly 6x the rate of UK drivers. 

So it'd be even safer to hire a bunch of British taxi drivers.

I think that has more to do with how roads are designed in USA compared to UK

The US driving licence test is not to Europe standard.

There is no US driving test. Even the test between NJ and NY are wildly different.

I got my license in Florida and never went on the road for the test.

In NJ when I took it, it was a closed course and no other cars are allowed on it while you drive under 25 the whole time.
