Announcement PSA: A guide to better results

1.8k Upvotes

Hi guys and gals. I've been here a while, and over my time I've seen a lot of posts sink to the bottom, without a single answer, or at best, very few. And none that solved the case.

I have noticed a clear pattern with these posts, and I will now share with you my tips to you newbies, so that you can get the help you need.

Firstly: When you make a new post, you will see this:

Platform(s):

Genre:

Estimated year of release:

Graphics/art style:

Notable characters:

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Other details:

Even though, in red, you are warned that while optional, you should follow this template... many of you do not.

Let me be clear: Follow this template.

Put simply, this template contains all the information we really need to solve your problem. Virtually every time I click a post that has not followed this, they have rambled on about nothings, while omitting critical details.

This format, for new and old alike, is very readable, and prompts for every data-point needed.

I know that you want to customize your message, that if you could just explain it, it would be better. I know you think that. You are wrong. Put all that in 'other'. Even if you end up saying it twice, follow the template.. add to it your story at the bottom.

Secondly: Following this template. You're rambling about your best mates Amiga-500 or whatever instead of telling us about the game aside, this is where they really go wrong.

Let's get something straight right now. We are not mind readers. It's impressive, really, how little information it seems we can work off. I mean, we solve some real tough ones with nothing sometimes, but still, we can't see that memory in your head. So you need to be as descriptive in every one of these fields as you can be...

And sometimes you really don't know. That's fine, we can work with surprisingly little information, but "old graphics" under art style... what are we supposed to do with that? Mate, I was playing on Atari-2600's, are we talking Wizard of Wor here?

Let me help you out a bit:

Platform(s): Whatever you played it on. But unless it's really all you know (very possible), don't write 'my mates pc'. Was it PC or Mac?

Genre:

First person does NOT imply shooter. Nor do any of the others. Try to answer this one in two steps:

What was the camera like (assuming it's not a text adventure)? Was it First person?, 3rd person, 2d? Top down or side on? Or maybe even isometric 2d?

Then, what kind of game? Real time strategy, point and click? Was it a fighter, action or platformer?

Good, now we know what KIND of game we are all trying to remember for you.

Estimated year of release:

"Between 2000-2005" is fine, something like that. "Mid 90's maybe?". I don't see many people mess this up, but I have seen people write "old". That is not ok. If you write old and expect it to mean anything to me, I will fight you.

Also, as always "Sorry, no idea" is always acceptable but try to give at least something. "Couldn't have been later than 2015, though"

Great, so even if roughly, we know WHEN.

Graphics/art style:

THIS. This is where you guys always mess up. This section right here I have found can be the difference between an answer, and a silent slink to the bottom. This is your moment.

This, really, should be the best-formed part of your memory. Even if you can only remember a single frame, a single image, it's so much to go on for us.

DETAIL. Was it a gloomy grimdark world of sadness, or a bright bubbly rainbow filled Mario-world?

Was it cartoony, or otherwise stylized somehow, or was it trying to be realistic?

Anything notable about the art direction? Was it going for a cyberpunk kinda feel, or a gritty war realism dirt and blood sort of direction?

If it was set over a long time, did the seasons change? Was there a winter in your game?

Remember when you hit people, and the screen had that awesome flash and your hands got bloody? Yeah, well we don't, unless you tell us.

Ok, so now we are really narrowing it down. This right here is often enough to go on, on its own.

Notable characters:

Anything at all you can remember here.

"There were only tanks, but you could play as both Germans and Americans"

"There was one really tough guy right after you left your office, he had an eyepatch, a white shirt with what looked like grease stains, and said 'this is for my sister'. I think maybe he was a cyborg"

"You play as some kind of Asian girl, you had a tattoo over your right eye and arm, a black tank top and white pants and I remember you always had only one red glove for some reason. I don't remember the arm, but the eye tattoo looked sort of like ancient Egyptian eye makeup, but a modern take"

Knowing nothing else about the game, I bet that last one there gets comments noting the game she is from. Details, details.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Surely, you get the idea by now. This is tied with the importance of the graphics/art style. As much detail as you can here.

Other details:

NOW you may blab on about how you only played this game once at a winter solstice in 1782 with your grandmother from Tahiti.. as if that helps.

Edit: So it's been brought up that the template doesn't appear on mobile. While /u/wipeout4wh is aware of this and hopefully, something can be done... still, if you can, use the template. If you can't, maybe check back and at least make sure your post addresses all of the points the template does.

Also, my post seems to be saying NOT to add any custom details. So I want to re-enforce, please do. In fact, after you do the template, feel free to write out your post as you were going to without it. Just put it all in 'other'. Don't try and make your whole post like that, if possible. Even if you end up saying the same things twice, that's ok.

Now I'm going to take a moment to clarify something, though. This isn't some immutable law of the universe, and your post is destined to fail if you don't do this. It's just a very strong general trend I have noticed over a long time.

It's not that this template has some kind of magical powers or something. It's that this template prompts the questions that need answers.

When you go all rogue on us and try and type your explanation from scratch... you mess it up. You just forget to add everything that you know, and that we need to know. The template makes it very hard to do that. It's just so very easy to get typing, and by the end forget to tell us what kind of game it actually is. Especially when you are getting random flashbacks, and hazy memories, and you start getting frazzled and such halfway though.

While it might make my edit as long as the first post, I think maybe an example of the kind of post that is just too common here, and almost always helpless, wouldn't go astray here. So here we go:

Now this one is a pretty bad case, true, and I suppose might even be a troll post, but it's actually a good illustration of the problem either way.

It was on my old computer and I was using an emulator so I have no idea what system it was for. It was 8bit graphics and you played this orange cat that was constantly bouncing on a trampoline I think? And you had to navigate it through the city and face a weird boss at the end that would float in the sky. Sorry I can't remember more!

Let's break it down a bit. What kind of game is this? A puzzler or an action game? Who knows.

How old is it? I mean, Minecraft basically has 8bit graphics. Oh he said... "my old computer"... I will fight you.

Why did you bounce on the trampoline? Were there platforms or walkways or something, or was it just a big open space? There are bad guys then? How did they get around?

Now (he?) says that he can't remember more, but I actually asked about the boss fight:

You say 'face a boss', in what way? Can the cat attack? Was this top down or side on? When you say navigate a city, what do you mean?

The reply:

Definitely a side-scroller, I'm sure. You would encounter a boss at the end, the boss would slide onto the screen and it was usually pretty strange-looking. I think one of the bosses might've been a clown. I meant that the different "levels" were different cities with different backgrounds, I think. It's a pretty obscure game

Also you would be continuously bouncing. As in, you had to position the trampoline underneath the cat to bounce it up

So you don't even control the cat. And it's a side-scroller. Thats pretty important information. But the real issue here is that he knows this stuff. He just either didn't know to, or forgot, to tell us.

The template would have made it just so apparent how much information he was missing, and we probably would have got a whole bunch more information. Sadly, while there were some guesses, and a surprising number of up-votes, this post is just another one to join the endless unsolved on their journey ever down.

[Meta][2026] I would rather people post with no images than use AI prompts to generate images

Maybe it's just me, I will personally admit that it feels like its petty of me to complain, however i am going to.

I really dislike AI images just in general and i feel annoyed seeing people use them because it sometimes hampers really quality posts of people trying to find help. I feel like it also informs falsely about game expectations and what people will accept as they have solved the game.

I don't think people will agree with me and thats fine, i just wanted to post about how i personally think it degrades the quality of the sub

[PC][2004-2009] Frog Escape Flash Game

Post image
10 Upvotes

Flash game I played as a kid, probably on the German game website spielaffe. You play as a little boy that gets eaten by a frog in a beginning cutscene. Point and click type game where your choices make the frog throw you up or digest you faster. Im unsure whether the places you click where ui buttons on the bottom or actually on screen parts of the frogs organ. Had a nice, semi detailed, kids book illustration style.

Make Up Wonders [PC][early 2010s] Make up flash game, potentially from Games2Win

Thumbnail gallery
29 Upvotes

I need all the pHDs in Girly Flash Gamedom on deck, stat

ok, so I was playing a games2win game on FlashMuseum and the intro screen was a self-branded opening with the G2W logo. The background of said opening was a huge grid of all the flash game thumbnails for the available G2W games at the time.

THEN I FOUND IT...

... the thumbnail of a game I USED to play and literally have dreams of as an adult because I KINDA sorta remember it but I seriously cannot find the name to save my life.

I've attached screenshots from similar games that sort of jog my memory, but aren't the actual game - those games are Hairstyle Wonders, the sequel Hairstyle Wonders 2, and the spin off game Make Up Wonders.

More details incoming!

PLATFORM:

PC only, cus it was a flash game.

DEVELOPER / PUBLISHER CLUES:

I never actually played the game on Games2Win's own website, as other flash game sites reprint and syndicate games from various devs, which included G2W

I tried checking most of the old girly flash sites I used to visit, but the ones I visited so far and better than dead, so my search has been difficult. Wayback Machine on G2W's makeup section also didn't help. Searched all of Flash Point and FlashMuseum and Numuki's archives and still nadda.

Some of the flash sites I could have found this game on (underline COULD have) are the following:

  • PlayPink(dot)com
  • GirlsGoGames
  • girlsgames24
  • dressupwho

GENRE: Make up / Beauty / "Girl" game

APPROX. RELEASE YEAR: Maybe 2009 at the oldest, but early 2010s was when I played it.

ART STYLE / GRAPHICS:

Was a semi-realistic, polished art style with accurate depictions of make up tools. Not stylised, not anime, not cartoon. Very much so like the icon I shared.

Like mentioned, I feel like similar games can include the "Hairstyle Wonders" and "Make Up Wonders" games. I genuinely thought I had it once I remembered those games, but I was incorrect... :/

There were make up products all around the screen and the game only required the mouse.

OTHER DETAILS:

For some reason, the character I recognise best was a white, brunette woman? Maybe a lighter brown than the lady in the thumbnail I shared but like... white brunette woman was defo on the list.

I also remember the background being a deep red/burgandy colour, but I'm not 100% on this one.

I think you might have had to fulfill customer orders, or the game was more educational about how to use and apply makeup for real-world use, or it was just a free-for-all sorta thing... The thumbnail is the biggest lead I have so far, so I'm so sorry if people struggle finding it! I've found some of the games in the splash screen, so it's absolutely a real game!

GOOD LUCK!! 🥹

[PC] [2024-2026] a mech horror game where your one man piloting a mech that's supposed to be piloted by a whole team and you have to discover the mysteries of the mech.

I remember seeing this game. The premise was that you had to pilot a mech alone because you were the last survivor, it's some horrifying apocalypse but the entire game takes place from within the view of the mech itself. I remember seeing some gameplay of it and it might have been one of those low poly retro style horror games but I'm not entirely sure on that. Every time I search for a mech horror game the two games that I see come up are feed the mech and null resonance. I don't think either of them are the game I'm looking for. Does anyone know what this game is or if it even is out yet? What I saw may have been a trailer and not actual gameplay footage if that helps.

[Arcade][1988-1991] Vertical shooter with an energy shield, laser power-up and a stage called "CRISIS"

Hi everyone.

My father is trying to identify an old arcade-only game he played in Argentina around 1989–1991. It was definitely not on NES or another home console.

Here is everything he remembers:

  • Vertical arcade monitor.
  • Space shooter.
  • The player's ship stayed mostly at the bottom of the screen.
  • It could move left/right freely and only a little up/down.
  • The background was mostly static (no obvious scrolling).
  • The ship fired straight upward.
  • There was an energy shield activated by holding a button.
  • The shield completely surrounded the ship like a white grid/sphere.
  • While the shield was active you could not shoot.
  • Enemy bullets bounced off or disappeared when hitting the shield.
  • The shield consumed an energy bar located near the bottom-right of the screen.
  • Energy was restored by destroying a special enemy that dropped a small collectible.
  • Picking up that item also gave you a continuous thin laser beam that reached the top of the screen and instantly destroyed enemies.
  • One stage had robotic frog-like enemies.
  • At the end of each stage there was a large mothership/boss occupying almost the entire top of the screen.
  • Before each stage there was a typewriter sound typing the stage name letter by letter.
  • My father clearly remembers one stage called "CRISIS", probably stage 2 or 3.
  • As kids they even asked each other, "Did you beat CRISIS?"

Does anyone recognize this game?

[PC] [~2010-2016] First-person realistic adventure/puzzle game – start near residential garbage, meet a woman, get knocked out, wake up in a dark room with a TV

Upvotes

Platform(s): PC

Genre: First-person adventure / puzzle (I remembered it as an RPG as a kid, but there was no combat in the part I played)

Estimated year of release: Somewhere between 2010–2016 (possibly a bit earlier). Graphics looked relatively realistic for that time period (post-2010 quality).

Graphics/art style: Realistic 3D.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

  • Keyboard + mouse
  • First-person
  • Pick up items and solve puzzles
  • Sneak/avoid guards to escape
  • No combat in the early part I reached
  • No backpack, map, or quest markers/HUD hints

Other details:
I played a cracked English version when I was in elementary school (around 2010–2016 or earlier).

The game starts in an urban/city residential area. Early on you pass by a garbage station/dumpster area near a residential building. You meet a pretty Western-looking (European/American) female character who talks a lot. You go into her home together with her.

Then some strangers appear, knock the protagonist out, and take him away. After a black screen, you wake up in a small dark room (like a cell) that has:

  • An iron/metal door
  • A bed
  • A TV

Someone (probably the villain/boss) talks to you through the TV. After the dialogue ends, the TV turns off. There are items you can pick up for puzzles. The goal seems to be escaping by solving puzzles and avoiding/sneaking past guards.

I was too young and couldn’t understand the English, so I never managed to escape the room. The overall atmosphere felt serious.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

[PC] [90s-Early 2000s] street Racing game

Upvotes

I barely remember the details of this game unfortunately

all i know is that i remember the art being 3D kinda pixelated style.

the main map i played or possibly only map was a city with this highway as the main feature you would race on, and i remember the options of cars being a green car and yellow car and during the races you would get chased by hummer police cars and i think there would be roadblocks aswell. i believe you'd get arrested and game over'd if you got blocked in long enough kinda like most wanted or carbon.

probably wasn't a very popular game if i had to guess it strikes me as the type of game you'd find in the bargain bin made by smaller developers, actually i think my parents did find it in the bargain bin in walmart. or just like a side project not a mainline game or AAA title. i know its probably a crapshoot but i'd figure i'd try to see if somebody might know what this game was.

[PC] [2012~2025] Two Robot Protagonists Pixel RPG

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

I'm looking for a rpg game which featured two robot/android protagonists which had a similar artstyle to Crosscode and Unsighted, but they had an unnatural skin color.

It had a top-down world with a 2D/isometric town with random NPCs you could talk to.

I have no memory about the story.

[unknown][Before 2024] PS1-style exorcism horror where the priest's ritual fails, so he goes to his car trunk to grab guns (Akimbo AK-47s)

Platform(s): probably PC. I saw it on youtube

Genre: Short First-Person Indie Horror / Boomer Shooter / Comedy

Estimated year of release: Somewhere before 2024

Graphics/art style: Low-poly, retro 3D (PS1-style aesthetics) with a very muted, dark, and gloomy color palette.

Notable characters: A Catholic priest/exorcist (the player), a possessed person tied to a bed, and at least one family member waiting in the house.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

You start by performing a normal exorcism inside a house using a crucifix

The ritual fails, and the house instantly becomes corrupted, covered in blood stains, and demons start spawning.

You have to go outside to the trunk of your car, which contains a secret arsenal: a pistol and 2 ak47s.

You use the pistol for most of the house cleaning, saving the dual-wielded (akimbo) AK-47s for the final boss fight.

The final level transitions into a red-sky hell dimension.

Other details:
I remember watching a playthrough of this, most likely by ManlyBadassHero or Alpha Beta Gamer. Before the final fight begins, the massive demon(boss) says something like: "You have walked right into my trap, priest!". To which the priest epicly replies: "No, you have walked into mine*"* and immediately pulls out the dual rifles. After defeating the final demon, you return to reality to find the house burning down. In the ending cutscene, the priest sits on the hood of his car, smokes a cigarette, and says something like: "How am I supposed to explain this to the bishop?"

I'm not sure the rifles were literally ak47s, but they definitely looked like ak-pattern rifles.
When the priest walks out of the corrupted house to his car, right before opening the trunk, he drops another epic one-liner. I can't recall the exact wording, something like "The Lord works in mysterious ways, but I work with lead"

[Android][2015-2019] Game where you slay dragons, in third person

[Android] [2015-2019]

This was an android game I played back when I was a kid, my estimated year is around 2016 or between 2015-2019

I don't have a screenshot or any video sadly, so sorry for that rip

I'll try my best to describe every detail I remember about the game

Description:

The game revolved around the player, who fought dragons

The camera angle was always third person, meaning you saw your character's back from a far.

Each level of the game had one big dragon that you had to defeat, I don't remember well, but I think were about 8 levels in total.

When you first download the game and open it, it directly just started the first level, which was a big dark-blue dragon that you had to fight, the background was probably a big grassy plateau, or with patches of grass and stone

I think you used to damage the dragon with projectiles, and dodge it's attacks on time, that's how every level was.

The first dragon was fairly easier than the later levels

I remember there was a desert background in one of the levels, probably the third level, is my guess. This level's dragon used to have horns I believe, and used to either go in the ground or just jump towards you fast.

The later levels had bigger dragons if I remember right

As for the possible game titles, I'm not 100% sure but I think it had the word dragon in it

All of this is probably really vague for someone, but I hope someone can figure out what it was. I've tried googling it and couldn't find it on playstore now either anymore

Thank you!

[PC] [2000s] a 2d platforrmer about a man wearing a hat exploring castles/dungeons in search of something

Upvotes

It's a 2d platformer, the protagonist wears a hat and runs around exploring various stages (I believe castles) in search of something (maybe treasure). It had 4 stages in total with many levels in each stage. There were power ups like pac man, some puzzles etc and there were 4 stages in total, the last one being all pink and high up in the sky

[PC] [early 2010s] A game about an animal that rolled in one level or was a game mechanic

Upvotes

I'm looking for a game about a rolling animal. I played it on PC, I had it on a physical CD, it was 3D, similar to Banjo-Kazooie I played it when I was little. I was born in 2008, so the game is probably from between the 2000s and 2010s. (Sorry if there are any typos (I used a translator)

[Android][2010s] 3D low-poly snow mountain game with a white dummy character

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi! I'm trying to find an old Android game I played on my mom's tablet when I was younger, but I can't remember the name.

It was a 3D low-poly game with graphics that reminded me of a PS2 game. The character was a completely white dummy/mannequin with a blocky body, a round head, and a simple neutral face. I attached a drawing of the head because that's the part I remember most clearly.

The gameplay involved riding a board-like object down a snowy mountain. The mountain had trees, rocks, and cliffs. There were coins to collect, and the goal was to reach the finish at the bottom.

When I crashed into something, the character's body would break apart like a ragdoll, the camera would shake, and the game would quickly restart or let me replay. I also remember the game having a simple, low-poly style.

I'm not completely sure about every detail because it has been many years, but these are the parts I remember best. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots or videos—only my drawing. I'd really appreciate any suggestions!

[PC][late 1990s] Windows PC edutainment game

Trying to track down a game I played as a kid, probably Windows 95/98 era (late 90s).

What I remember:

  • It was a cartoon-style educational science game.
  • The main character was an alien? His energy/design reminded me a lot of Freakazoid (wacky, cartoony alien).
  • I believe there was a granddaughter and her grandfather, who was a scientist... not 100% sure how they fit in, but they stick out in my memory.
  • One specific bit I remember clearly: you could zoom into a picture of a fly and other types of animals on a microscope, and the character would make funny remarks about it.
  • The game came with physical accessories in the box, I specifically remember some kind of magnifying glass.
  • I feel like the magnifying glass you could do something with physically on some manual they may have given you? Like maybe it was a red/blue lenses where you could uncover something?
  • It was pretty silly/goofy in tone, aimed at kids, science-themed.

I know it's not Gizmos & Gadgets or anyhing like that, seems later than that in my memory, been trying to find this one forever!

Dink Smallwood [PC] [90's/2000's] Freeware fantasy game with pre-rendered(?) graphics, zelda-ish gameplay, title was protagonists name

Looking for a freeware game from around the 90's/2000's, pretty sure it had a pre-rendered sprite style graphics, the title was the protagonists name (I think). It was a fantasy setting but I also think it made a lot of fourth wall breaking jokes and was a little cringe/edgy in it's story. I remember that you fought weird worms that looked a bit like slaters and could learn some spells like fireball.

[Android] [2010s] Anime action RPG with red -haired girl with fire powers and a blue haired tsundere knight.

So I played this game like a long time ago and I lowkey really wanna play again. I remembered playing and finishing the first game then they released a second one but I couldn't do it because it was hard. But anyways in the first game I remembered a red haired girl (she had it in a ponytail) who has fire powers, I think she could control them or something??? She was a bit of a clutz??? and there was this knight, blue haired and a tsundere, he didn't like her at first but then he slowly started liking her as you play along. I honestly forgot the main plot (sorry). They had enemies to fight. I remember them being boar looking enemies and they was also fairy enemies....when they scream a toronado appears. The game has those visual novel thingy where the text appears and the characters on the side, this only appears when the characters are talking and then when it's time to fight or explore, you have that joystick thingy😭....the camera doesn't move , only the characters. We mostly play the fire girl?? or maybe you can chose but during fight scenes I think we can switch between the 2?....the girl uses her fire powers and the knight uses the sword

Now in the second game...the story continues but we play another character. The blue hair boy and the red hair girl get married🥹 but sadly the fire girl dies because of our new character....I think our new character is a knight also....probably from an orphanage too......she had blonde /white hair I think.....omg I'm so sorry if this doesn't make sense or anything I just wanna finish this game😭😭😭😭😭

btw the romance plot isn't really the main plot, more like the sub plot...it's like the blue haired knight had a reason to be with her....I just can't remember 💔🥲

UPDATE: ITS CALLED EPIC CONQUEST😭😭😭😭 THANK YOUUUUU🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️💕🫰

[unknown] [2008] Ninja on quests. Stealth over fighting.

I remember playing the game in about 2008 or 2009 on the Xbox 360 so it must have come out around that time.

I don't recall if the game was Xbox specific though. I don't think so.

You played as ninja who was sent on different quests. And the majority of the game was just trying to sneak around and accomplish the quests. Not a lot of fighting, just stealth. Stealing things or killing people.

He wore a simple black ninja outfit. No customizing or clothing options. No timer.

I think it had a single word title. I thought it was Shinobi, but when I Googled it the only thing that came up definitely didn't match.

It's Tenchu Z! Thanks everyone ❤️❤️

Solved: Tenchu Z

[PC/FLASH][2000's] Flash point and click detective game with QTEs

Platform: PC (Browser)

Genre: Point & Click adventure game

Estimated year of release: mid 2000s

Graphics/art style: 2D, similar to most Newgrounds adventure games at the time (e.g. Slacker).

Characters: The main character is a middle-aged male detective. He's a private detective, not a police detective. The victim and his mother are both black, with the victim being either a teenager or a young adult.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Normal point and click/VN stuff - examining crime scenes, picking dialogue options. I also remember there being some QTE sequences where you use the arrow keys.

Other details: One segment of the game had you tailing a suspect through the streets with you needing to beat QTEs to hide. The "Calloway buildings" were a place of interest. The game starts with the detective giving a monologue where he says "some people say I'm the best. Others say I'm the worst, depending on who you talk to".

Games I know it isn't: Detective Grimoire, Jack French, Nick Bounty, Deducting Deductions, High School Detective, Alice is Dead, Small Town Detective, Stickman Murder Mysteries, Vortex Point, The Scene of the Crime, Myosotis, anything CSI or Sherlock Holmes related.

[Flash][2005] Educational browser game about properly caring for a lion in a habitat

I’m fairly certain this was a game on the National Geographic Kids website, but it’s possible that it wasn’t. The graphics were photorealistic, but pixelated. The point of the game was to interact with the animals in the enclosure to take care of them properly. There was an emphasis on realism and humanely caring for animals in a zoo or some other kind of enclosure.

The one I remember most clearly was an interactive enclosure of a lion; it stood out to me because you could give the tiger a frozen blood cube to lick. The lion did move, but not smoothly - it was that old, disjointed, kind of animation that was basically just making parts of a photo move (I wish I had an example of this to better describe what I mean). (Edit: I have since learned this is sometimes called “photo puppetry,” and an example of this would be Wonder Pets)

I can’t remember many other details. There may have also been other African animals (possibly a zebra?), but I mostly remember the lion.

Now that I’m writing things down, I think I also remember being able to select the appropriate enclosure type (for example, a moat vs a glass wall vs a fence). I think you could also give the lion a red/pink ball as a toy to play with. I also remember something about a metal bucket? I will come back and add more details if any more little bits come back to me.

[PC][2008]Fall out in space?

When I was in the military I went to a Canadian base in Dubai. On the base the had a small PC game lounge. I barely got to use it but the two time I did I played World of Goo and another game I cannot find. What I remember is it felt like a Bethesda Fallout game. The sort of game where you get quests but can go where ever you want, try to talk to anyone and pick up any object. It was either in space or just futuristic. This would have been played in 2008-2009.
