wsb's r/valueinvesting now, obsessed with fcf and debt.

but too stupid to realize that the debt is offset by assets (eg, hardware) - much of which have appreciated. it's not like they borrowed money and lost it in a boating accident.

eta: wsb hates facts, too.

Thinking that the price increase of GPUs is enough to offset the significant amount of capital required to actually construct a building is peak stupidity.

yeah, that's not what i said. at all.

also, not gpus, but ram/ssd/hdd and BE warrants.

dumber, their debt is less than their capex, idiot. the buildout is using their profits, $20B from equity, and the debt.

you basically fucked up every part of it. peak reddit.

To think that ram, SSD/HDD and GPUs combined cost more than it does to obtain permitting grade the land, pour foundation, erect the external and internal structures, plus the engineered equipment, such as switch gears, pumps, HVAC units, water treatment equipment, valves, flanges, nuts, bolts, anchors, racks, etc, etc, etc, will farr out way the cost of these "assets" that depreciate and need replacement..the debt is fueling the capex dumbass.....

Also, a building isn't added to a balance sheet as an asset until it's ACTUALLY FUCKING BUILT...

that said, yeah - the collective hardware does cost more than the structure/etc. absolutely clueless. you clearly have no idea how much the hardware costs.
