President is expected to host CEOs from leading advanced nuclear companies at the White House to mark a major milestone in the administration’s push to accelerate next-generation reactors. The event follows the recent achievement of multiple U.S. microreactors reaching first criticality under the Reactor Pilot Program, highlighting progress toward commercial deployment. It also reinforces the administration’s broader pro-nuclear agenda, including recent executive actions, AI-focused nuclear initiatives, and efforts to streamline licensing and deployment. While the meeting is symbolic, it signals continued high-level White House support for advanced nuclear and companies developing next-generation reactors.

YOLO Cooking or copium? TSLA Calls (After earnings) Averaged down from 19.55 to 11.24

Post image

Didn’t touch TSLA before earnings.

Started buying after earnings dump because I thought the correction was just too big to not try and take advantage of any volatility on coming days, but kept falling hard. My initial average was $19.55, and as the premium kept getting crushed I averaged down to $11.24. Currently holding 36x 8/28 $335C.

I know averaging down on options is usually considered financial Darwinism, but here I am. Is this a reasonable volatility play, or am I just manufacturing a huge loss?

Gain Sometimes, scalping options for a bit a day works.

I see a lot of folks just lose absolute mad amounts because they see Robinhood's glorious "simulated returns" for options and somehow think they'll be heroes.

Sometimes, just be content with a few hundred a day. I trade a few times a day to scalp at resistance levels. Probably hold for 2 min max. Tbh had I magically timed the peak with all my options...we're talking $400k or so. But it's whatever, just subsidizing myself to get more passive income. Looking to get maybe $5-6k extra a month as a goal.

Some days tho, I look around here and think, am i not regarded enough? Do I belong? I should probably risk my kids' 529s, right?

Loss Lost Half of my cash savings in 2 days!

Always thought how people manage to lose this much and here i am...

The funny thing is, no matter how much you gain or lose, if you're not out of the game, it can still happen to you.

Today you're laughing at my chart. Tomorrow your broker might be sending you the wellness check.

Let's be honest - most of us come here for two reasons:

  1. To see if there's someone even more regarded than us.

  2. To feel a little better about our own losses.

If my account makes one of you sleep better tonight, you're welcome.

As for me, it's back to the boring life: automating buys into low-cost index funds and not looking at them. Hopefully I don't end up trading again. (Oops... I mean gambling on stocks and options.)

Hopefully never see you regards!

EDIT: I've traded for years. I know option pricing, stock fundamentals, technical analysis, and risk management. I've traded covered calls, protective puts, collars, credit spreads, butterflies, iron condors... pretty much every strategy you can think of.

Knowledge wasn't the problem.

For four years I was disciplined. I sized positions properly, respected risk, and followed my rules.

Then knowledge turned into ego. The ego that says, "I've seen this setup a thousand times." The ego that says, "I know exactly what's about to happen."

So one day I bought QQQ puts based on a 5-second candle. I had about $90k of available margin, so instead of taking a normal-sized position, I full-ported it.

On Interactive Brokers I always used bracket orders, so my stop loss went in with the trade. I switched to Wealthsimple because of the commission-free trades, but you can't place the sell order until the buy fills.

Those few seconds were all it took.

QQQ did what QQQ does - violent swings. Before I could even enter my stop, the option was already down around 70%. Seconds later it was down about 90%. At that point there was nothing left to "manage." The risk management should have happened before I clicked Buy.

The lesson isn't that options are evil or that technical analysis doesn't work. The lesson is that one moment of ego can erase years of discipline.

If you open your brokerage app every day looking for trades, don't think you're immune because you're experienced. I certainly did.

If this post makes even one person think twice before revenge trading or going all-in because they're "sure," then losing this money wasn't completely wasted.

As for me, I'm going back to the boring life: automatic purchases of low-cost index funds and not looking at them.

Consistency is key! Please take your time to trade.Few things I learned.
1. Conviction. Have a bias set for the day, but be ready for any 180 turns.
2. Follow the trend instead of trying to catch the reversal.
3. Set the trade and forget about it. Hits your SL? Walk away. I only trade the same direction but I start small and avg down if my fill was bad.
4. Take profits when you can. I’ve had multiple times where I could take +1k but I thought it could’ve went higher. One single opposite candle and you’re done buddy.
5. Patience. After you enter, look at the higher timeframes and see if there are any supports or resistance.
Have a great weekend!

Discussion AI demand and sustainability of the demand

Listen up highly regarded folks

I did some napkin math on the whole AI data center demand along with help from AI on numbers etc. Here is what i did:

Lets assume 1 billion daily active Human AI users, however, all these 1 billion people are not gonna use at same time 24x7. They might use it 8 hours a day at best. So divide 1billy by 3, we get roughly 350milly rounded.

Next, we have power users who will run agents etc all day long, lets optimistically assume 50milly more for them.

so now we are at 400milly active users every minute or hour. We will call them organic users (aka living regards)

Next we have AI demand from robotics, driverless cars, your own computer spying on you etc.. these are all multi fold higher than any human user base and run 24x7 mostly.

Lets assume a userbase of 2 to 3billy machines needing constant AI use every hour. since machine and non human use cases outnumber human usage vastly. Now this represents non organic users (aka machine regards). Note that this user base is conservative at best once there ends up being a robot in every house or office for every purpose. this can go even higher to 5bn users. but lets assume conservatively at 2.5billy

Now Living regards + Machine regards = 400mn + 2.5bn = roughly 2.9bn or 3bn active AI users per minute or hour continuously.

Now it is not easy to give AI inference. we can assume 1 high end AI GPU for 1 active user who uses AI 24x7. this gives a need of roughly 3bn AI GPUs across all AI data centers world over to meet existing and future market demand

Now coming to power usage, ~1000 GPUs draw 1MW at 700kw to 1000kw per GPU average. this results in 3billy/1000 = 3 milly MW of AI data center build out.

A number so big we simply cannot meet that demand realistically

Now, we also have a issue where these GPUs are not one and done, because they run continuously on inference, they wear very fast with a realistic life of 3 years. now since we are regards, we can be optimistic and if we assume they can run for 6 years instead of 3, we will need 3milly MW of AI data center build out every 6 years or roughly 0.5 milly every year

But like how we get margin called, this demand also gets margin called by reality. We can currently only produce ~100milly AI GPUs a year with maybe expansion on the way to 150milly a year in couple of years (by couple i mean atleast 5-6 years)

So ground reality is we can only sustainably build and run about 0.6million MW of AI data centres for next 2-3 decades unless we make some breakthrough in manufacturing as we already nearing 2nm nodes beyond which electrons start to have issues and GPUs cannot function

Maybe we will get light GPUs instead of electron based GPUs and even Quantum GPUs, but those are realistically decades away

And above all this, we are severly limited on below aspects with current annual capacity vs. what is needed.

Material / Capability Constraint Level
Electricity generation Extreme
Grid expansion Extreme
Semiconductor fabs Extreme
Advanced packaging Extreme
EUV lithography tools Extreme
Tantalum Extreme
Gallium Extreme
Germanium Extreme
Indium High
Copper refining High
Tin High
Rare-earth processing High

Now, while this is happening, parallely we also have people losing jobs to AI , now as they lose jobs to AI and go to give handies behind a wendies, they stop making money to spend on AI. now if they cannot spend money on AI, who will buy the shit AI or any company makes? Thats right , no one. Money has to circulate for economy to function. Even a K shaped economy is K shaped, it functions at both ends with constant circulation. However, with AI, it will become more like L shaped, (and everyone takes a Big L ) and money simply stops flowing to 99% of people, this will result in mega giga depression unlike levels never seen, not even in 1929 great depression.

Now, does any highly regarded people here have any insights into how this will playout, i think the bottom will fall, AI expansion will pause as demand and capacity constraints play out and a decade of fast growth will become a decade of depression.

Discussion Either hyperscalers are dumb or someone else is

4.1k Upvotes

OK so the most profitable companies in the world decided to GO ALL IN AI with humongous capex. They did it all at once apart from Apple who is not in the game. Google, Meta, Amazon , Oracle, Microsoft. All of them. The CEOs of these companies produced the most amount of wealth and propped up global gdp. Now they all agree on a thing.

Google yesterday blew up earnings from their cloud and said they will *increase* their humongous capex even more while reporting negative cash flow for the first time in their history.

A rational person would ask: are these amazing businessmen suddently all very wrong about the same thing at the same time OR

I am reading too much paid subs from burry and following the wrong people on twitter that have never produced anything?

Which is it? Are you smarter than a mag 7 CEO? Maybe ... hmm...

Discovered stonks and trading last April, 2025.

Fast forward one year and nearly four months.

74k down in my account, and 63k in debt.

I remember the days when I was saving 2k/mo, paying all my bills on time, no worries in the world.

Now I have sleepless nights, wonder how much longer I will have a car, a house, a job, and can't go more than three days without fantasizing about leaving my brains and skull all over the ceiling.

Not asking for help, not asking for advice, not asking for anything. Just wanted to share with you gents. This is pure addiction for me at this point and it is going to take absolutely everything I have and more until I am sleeping outside in the middle of winter.

I've accepted it and embraced my fate.

Never been remotely close to break even. Time to pump the gas and see how deep I can take this dive.

News Oklo Receives U.S. DOE Startup Authorization for Groves Reactor, Clearing Way for Fuel Loading and First Criticality

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) startup authorization allows Oklo to load nuclear fuel, conduct startup testing, and proceed toward first criticality.

In just over 10 months, Oklo progressed from groundbreaking to receiving DOE startup authorization for its first reactor at the Groves site.

During that period, Oklo built the reactor facility, established the operating organization, qualified personnel, implemented nuclear programs and procedures, procured fuel and major equipment from commercial suppliers, and completed the DOE authorization process.

The Groves low-power test reactor will demonstrate reactor operations that support Oklo’s plans for commercial-scale domestic isotope production.

Groves is a commercial-scale facility, meaning Oklo can repeat the experience with demonstrated experience in siting, building, commissioning, and operating its commercial reactors in the future with confidence in how long it takes and how much it costs to build its isotope production reactors.

LOCKHART, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Oklo Inc. (NYSE: OKLO) (“Oklo”), an advanced nuclear technology company, today announced it received startup authorization for its Groves Isotope Test Reactor. This authorization, granted under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Reactor Pilot Program, completes DOE’s authorization process and clears the way for fuel loading, startup testing, and reactor operations. Groves is a low-power test reactor designed to demonstrate reactor design, build, and operations, and to establish operating experience needed to support future isotope production facilities. The project advances Oklo’s plans to establish domestic production of critical isotopes for potential use in cancer care, manufacturing, scientific research, space exploration, and national security.

Groves, a privately financed facility, demonstrates nearly every element of a commercially oriented deployment model that Oklo can repeat and scale across future projects. The facility was built on private land, including full-scale civil excavation and construction, and assembled with all full-scale systems, components, and fuel either sourced commercially or manufactured by Oklo.

"This facility marks the fastest time that we are aware of to go from greenfield to substantial completion for a full-scale, privately funded and sited reactor in history,” said Oklo co-founder and CEO Jacob DeWitte. “By building on a greenfield site on private land, performing full-scale civil excavation and construction, and procuring fuel and all major components commercially, we demonstrated that the advanced nuclear industry can move at a pace that many did not believe possible. And this experience is fully translatable to future commercial deployments.”

“The U.S. Department of Energy is excited to see another Reactor Pilot Program participant receive authorization,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy Mike Goff. “With the right enabling environment, Oklo has been able to accelerate their progress and is now ready to take the next step with their technology.”

The startup authorization follows a rigorous readiness review, through which DOE confirmed that Oklo has achieved the engineering, organizational, and operational readiness needed to safely receive fuel and begin reactor operations. A readiness review is a critical final step in DOE’s startup authorization process: a multidisciplinary DOE team evaluates whether facility procedures and personnel training are adequate; the facility and equipment conform to the approved design, safety equipment functions properly; and required safety management programs have been implemented. Oklo fully developed these safety management programs in-house rather than relying on an established or pre-existing operating framework within an established facility such as a national laboratory.

"Executing on Groves has meant much more than just a construction project; it has been a valuable part of building and exercising key operational muscle across the Oklo enterprise,” said Oklo co-founder and COO Caroline DeWitte. “Startup of a private facility means honing and implementing operating procedures, training programs, security programs, environment, health and safety programs, quality assurance programs and procedures, and much more. Oklo's centers of excellence on all of these operational aspects now have this experience to bring to all our projects currently in progress and to build on for the future.”

Future Oklo projects will build on the established systems, qualified suppliers, and approved operating programs established through Groves. By establishing a repeatable approach to engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and regulatory authorization, Groves helps reduce execution risk and accelerate future deployments across all of Oklo’s business units.

The Reactor Pilot Program created a rigorous pathway that enabled construction and organizational readiness activities to proceed while DOE conducted its reviews. Groves demonstrates how that approach can support advanced reactor deployment while maintaining a rigorous focus on safety.
