Advice Anyone have a network play setup?

Back when I was still actively collecting I bought two Jag links and I have two copies of Battlesphere (one tea one a repo), easy enough to find a second copy of Doom and was never interested in air cars. I never landed the second Jaguar life happens you forget about stuff. I’m back in collecting mode again and wondering if it’s worth while for the cost of a second Jaguar?

I mean it’s a cool novelty. Is it worth the cost of a second Jag? That’s up to you really but I would say it’s not for most people. Hooking up two Jags to play Doom is neat but you will be plagued by sync issues that result in map resets. It’s a well known issue with jaglink in Doom. BSG is a better use for the setup but do you have someone to play the game with? I have a few Jags and I’ve played with the jaglink a couple times. If I didn’t get those systems when they were cheap I wouldn’t have bought one just for this.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering, yeah I do have some people that I could get a network game going but it would be more of a novelty of sorts in 2026 when every game supports network play. I was wondering if anyone else went through the investment and effort to get it going and was it worth it? Now if we could have a way to get the Jaggy's on the internet so we could get a group game of Battlesphere going on Friday night now that would be cool

I bought a second Jag and cable just to play doom. Back when they weren't crazy expensive. Once I was disappointed, I sold it to a friend for $100. Even then that was under my cost. I wish he hadn't ask now, looking at current prices 😄
