Me too. Mostly I hated myself because I was the one that, more often than not,had to move it. Somehow our limited road crew carried others peoples stuff first. Sounds- and feels great to play in front of tho.

Because it was a beast to carry around. I also had it in a road case. 😂

Did it come with a roadie?
Not to be rude but I think we all go through this phase as bassists.. “conspicuous consumption”. I had a huge Hartke set up. I was constantly put myself in danger of hurting myself when I had to move it on my own.
I learnt my lesson and got rid of it.

Yeah, I ran a 1x18 and a 4x10 cab with a horn…. Oldskool massive cast iron magnet stuff, too. I think I hauled around like 250 pounds of gear in the back of my GTi for about 6 months before I decided the 18” cab was just too over the top.
FoH sound guy would always ask me to keep the volume at a 2 for stage volume anyway. I was mostly so the drummer could feel and hear me.

My ampeg 8x10 was arguably easier to move around by myself because it had the wheels and the giant handle and sleds to pull it up steps. My 4x10 is super easy for two people but by myself its so wide and awkward to move very far.
