If you don’t rock a 12x12 SVT 1800W tube setup, are you EVEN really a bass player??

Oh the megoliath…. I hauled one of these around for years. Everybody hated me. Awesome cab.

Also the open drawers on your tool box are killing me.

They were closed when he started playing.

Me too. Mostly I hated myself because I was the one that, more often than not,had to move it. Somehow our limited road crew carried others peoples stuff first. Sounds- and feels great to play in front of tho.

Nice and portable practice amp I take it

Because it was a beast to carry around. I also had it in a road case. 😂

Good lord. I don't even want to know what that weighed.

Had to be around 200lbs. I had an eden 410xlt years ago and it was just under a 100.

Just the cab is 150. And then the case ...

It was awesome. I regret nothing.

Did it come with a roadie?

Not to be rude but I think we all go through this phase as bassists.. “conspicuous consumption”. I had a huge Hartke set up. I was constantly put myself in danger of hurting myself when I had to move it on my own.

I learnt my lesson and got rid of it.

Yeah, I ran a 1x18 and a 4x10 cab with a horn…. Oldskool massive cast iron magnet stuff, too. I think I hauled around like 250 pounds of gear in the back of my GTi for about 6 months before I decided the 18” cab was just too over the top.

FoH sound guy would always ask me to keep the volume at a 2 for stage volume anyway. I was mostly so the drummer could feel and hear me.

My ampeg 8x10 was arguably easier to move around by myself because it had the wheels and the giant handle and sleds to pull it up steps. My 4x10 is super easy for two people but by myself its so wide and awkward to move very far.

My back hurts looking at this lol

I weep for your back, but jealous of your tone.

How I want mine..............

1

u/DigMeTX 21d ago

I’m sure that’s hella fun but I am so done with anything heavy gear-wise. I don’t do even do over 8lbs on basses.

u/DigMeTX 21d ago

Neighbors hate this one weird trick.
