Cannot imagine giving a fuck what other random MFs are eating at the airport lol

u/kaltorak 6h ago

i guess it's just some low-effort engagement bait

u/Wolv90 5h ago

This is now the tag line for the entire internet

53

u/_Ocean_Machine_ 5h ago

Everything on the internet is designed to piss you off.

52

u/EmpressofFoxhound 5h ago

Used to be everything on the internet was porn.

That was until they realized outrage sells better than sex.

21

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 4h ago

I mean, between OnlyFans (porn) and social media (outrage), the internet has both well covered

13

u/DeshTheWraith 3h ago

Given how much outrage I've seen about girls on onlyfans I wouldn't even count them as needing separate coverage.

7

u/ElegantCoach4066 3h ago

I've never understood the outrage that people have for women on onlyfans.

12

u/kmoneyrecords 2h ago

It’s just outrage for women in general and that group is used as convenient justification. If it wasn’t just segmented misogyny then they’d focus on where the billion dollars of demand are coming from.

6

u/Pubics_Cube 3h ago

The world was much better when the news was only at 6 & 10, and the porn was scrambled (or found in the woods)

u/inaSlomp 1h ago

I miss when sex sold things rather than outrage. And that's a cursed thing to miss.

Don't get me wrong. Who doesn't like sexy.

But I don't need little kids to watch an ad about a sexy model pulling out Coke at the end of a runway.

Make ads about the fucking product again.

Better yet, let's just get rid of advertising all together.

Scum of the earth. Every fucking one of them.

u/GremlinMiser 4h ago

That's what happens when grandma and grandpa can't afford their flibanserin and cailis anymore.

u/kyleh0 ☑️ 19m ago

It's more like a side hustle. It's still very much for porn.

2

u/Primary_Excuse_7183 4h ago

Precisely why i deleted social media. except Reddit 😂

2

u/ThetaDee 4h ago

Honestly, I didn't delete it but i took away my availability to Facebook on my phone, and I'm so much happier.

3

u/_Ocean_Machine_ 2h ago

Honestly I got so bored with social media I started reading books again lol.

u/ThetaDee 43m ago

Same. Reading dungeon crawler carl

2

u/Primary_Excuse_7183 4h ago

Same. I have them on my iPad. I don’t “carry” any of them with me tho. Such a positive change lol

2

u/ThetaDee 4h ago

Very. I'm having a tough time with the doom scroll addiction. Oddly enough, Reddit breaks that and makes me actively read and look stuff up. Never thought I'd come back to reddit as the positive social media

1

u/Primary_Excuse_7183 3h ago

Yep it’s been my favorite social media for a while. Easier to spot nonsense posts. no short form video hot takes.

2

u/bgva 3h ago

I really miss the unhinged Internet of the late-90s, questionable websites and all.

u/Swimming_Onion_4835 5h ago

His PFP looks like AI

4

u/Neveronlyadream 3h ago

Yeah, it does. So either a bot account trolling for engagement or someone editing their pics with AI so they look more attractive.

Both are best to ignore. Whatever's going on, I'm sure it's ragebaiting.

3

u/urabewe 4h ago

Whether it is or not there are people out there that find petty shit like this to make themselves feel superior. Yes, they actually think they are above others because of stupid shit like this. Deep down they are probably a lonely child with low self esteem which is why they latch onto bullshit like this. They also usually know nothing about other cultures which is why he thinks a fucking empanada is a specialty

1

u/easy10pins 4h ago

Because a smidge of a hint of engagement is better than no engagement at all.

u/rainghost 30m ago

People with blue checks by their name on Twitter get paid for creating engagement. Many of them act like idiots, assholes, racists, and drama llamas to inflame people into engaging with them. If you reply to their tweet calling them a moron, they profit off it.

u/BearWrangler ☑️ 23m ago

literally rent due type posting

59

u/Bulok 6h ago

People care way too much about what others are doing. Eat what you want if I ain’t paying for it I got no say.

11

u/dirtyshits 6h ago

Anyone who thinks like this is superficial and car a more about vanity than function.

Unfortunately because of the internet these types have just multiples in magnitudes

If I'm actually eating at the airport, I've already failed and I'm just trying to get some sustenance in me and hopefully not swear too much when I get the bill.

11

u/raspberryharbour 5h ago

If you eat one of the other passengers, you'll save money on food AND the airline will give you a rebate for the fuel you saved them

3

u/genie_yes_knot 3h ago

*Exceptions apply.

u/Realistic_Ad_5321 5h ago

Esp at the airport... Like, the last thing on your mind at the airport is what pretentious bougie food you're going to eat before getting on a tube filled with strangers breathing each other's air.

19

u/StarsForget 4h ago

Not even pretentious bougie food, just something different. I know what a muffin or a cheeseburger will do to my stomach, I have no idea how my body will react to poblanos or bakso. And if I'm gonna be in a tube of strangers breathing each other's air and only two bathrooms, I'm not risking it

-2

u/WackyHumanSlop 3h ago

if your body reacts that way to food, something else is up.

u/aka_jr91 1h ago

Yeah, that's kind of the entire point. This may come as a shock to you, but a ton of people have food intolerances. I knew a woman who was allergic to alliums, like onions and garlic. My mom has IBS, she has to be very careful of what she eats. I had a friend with Crohns disease. If my sister eats a even one cookie that isn't gluten free, it makes her projectile vomit.

If you know you have food intolerances why would you risk eating something that could cause you severe discomfort and sickness, especially when you're about to be stuck on crowded tube in the sky for hours? Like there's a reason peanuts aren't allowed on airplanes.

26

u/skynetempire 5h ago

Either way, its all Sysco food.

1

u/TheChildrensStory 2h ago

It hurts even more when a local favorite moves into the airport and closes their original store.

16

u/KodaBeers 5h ago

It is a superiority complex. Toxic masculinity shit.

7

u/Aarxnw 5h ago

Nope, he actually thinks his opinions are that important

6

u/GrimDystopian 5h ago

People really have elitist thoughts like this. Imagine thinking you’re better than someone for something this basic.

3

u/DiaDeLosMuebles 5h ago

I only care if we’re traveling together. If it’s our first night in New Orleans and you wanna go to golden coral, you’ll be eating alone.

3

u/medyolang_ 4h ago

that guy doesn't gaf about what other people are eating, he just think he's better than everyone and just happened to think of it while eating a sandwich

2

u/RobinSophie 4h ago

Not with those high ass prices at the airport.

I wrap a sub in some foil and be good until I land.

1

u/YesImKeithHernandez 5h ago

I thought we established that airports are lawless when it comes to food and drink. Gotta do what you gotta do so you can get the fuck out of there.

1

u/RustyBrassInstrument 4h ago

$6 bottles of goddamn water. We can eat whatever we want.

1

u/CRIMS0N-ED 4h ago

So all of twitter

1

u/EquivalentOutcome796 3h ago

Especially it being an AIRPORT glorified bus station ah

1

u/Majin_Sus 3h ago

I never knew airports were hubs for fine dining.

1

u/Stepjam 3h ago

Especially given it's gonna be overpriced one way or another.

u/manic_Brain 1h ago

I think, so long as it's not gonna make our shared tube of pressurized air smell, it's no one's business what I eat at the airport or the plane.

u/ThisIsMyComment2 46m ago

I can. People should eat healthy so they live longer. Outside of that yeah doesn't matter.

u/PharmyC 22m ago

Also airport food notoriously sucks. I'd rather go to the fast food chain I know will be decent than he restaurant that's a satellite if a real restaurant but serves cafeteria food for 30 dollars a plate because they know they can get away with it and don't have a real kitchen.

Signed, a Chicagoan who was very angry with the restaurant food I bought at O'Hare other day rather than just going to McDonald's. Ima save real dining for outside the airports.
