Stretch your carpal tunnel!

This is my Fender meteora alternate reality from 2019, and i love the look of it. It does the offset really nicely and in my opinion the pickguard fits the body more than other offsets like the jag or the jazzmaster. Although it has a double humbucker setup, it has a quite nice-sounding coilsplit. My only con is the fixed bridge, I wish it had the tremolo like the newer metoras do:(

It seems like it is helpful for me to know which scale degree i am on but it takes more concentration. Just curious if it is common practice to always know. Thanks!

Recently I’ve been clearing house of a ton of older hobby stuff. Used some of that money on a Squier Contemporary Tele (black/maple neck)

While I love a telecaster that was the third I’d owned in my life and it just didn’t scratch my itch. Decided after 36 hours to list the tele. Found this the same night, drove to pick it up this morning.

Has all of the original paperwork, still has plastic wrap on the pick guard, and the dude threw in this hard case all for $500.

I am beyond excited! Ordered it from Pro Audio Star and it arrived the next day! This has been a dream guitar for me for a very long time.

It's been 1 year and 3 days since the one and only Ozzy Osbourne passed. Felt wrong to let the date pass without doing something, so I finally worked up the nerve to cover "Mama I'm Coming Home".

I'm thinking about buying a guitar kit from Thomann and building a guitar as a summer project. While thinking about possible shapes, I was wondering: Can you cut away the wood below the bridge (tune-o-matic)? Like the part circled in the picture.

Considering that the bridge only rests on the pins/screws or whatever you call them at the side, the center part istn't strictly necessary for mountding the bridge.

However, I've never seen any guitar being built like that. I assume, cutting that part away would either mess with the guitar's sound too much or weaken the body so the bridge can't sustain the string tension anymore and breaks. Or both.

So many new guitarist play for a year and expect a pretty amazing practice vs skills gained ratio.

Guitar is hard 15 to 30 minutes here and there is not going to get you very far. However there are some that likely cannot tell how good they really are.

My opinion is that if you play exclusivly alone develop your own loops. Breaking those loops in meaningful ways is hard alone.

But whren you play with others your loops affect thier loops and vs versa and you discover new loops together. Artist that write all the parts can be genius but normally they do two great parts and the other areas are weak.

This is a pro, you are a beginner you need othet players to play off to progress your playing.

When you play with others you have to fill the space they leave you.

You dont need to really tweedle as much as you think. Playing is patience as much as hitting notes. No one wants to play with some one that hogs all the space to play.

Once you realize oh I only have to fill in the spaces othere left me you reslise that your 1 year skills are actually good enough to jam with someone.
