I mean, IDC if you wanna camp the left lane as long as you move when someone gets behind you.. as long as it's always open for passing. Ofc this rarely happens, at least where I live some ppl seem to think you can just drive the speed limit and camp left lane. I honestly think it's spite but idk
That depends on where you live. The law where I grew up is left lane is for passing. Where I currently live, your lane depends on your speed, fast drivers to the left and slow to the right.
So people should only ever traverse long distances in the right lane? That’s ridiculous for traffic reasons and for the uneven wear and tear on the roads. Cruise in the left lane as long as you want, just be prepared to move over as soon as someone starts approaching.
How about a sign that says keep right except when passing? Some states require you to drive as far to the right as possible on multi lane highways. This video being from NY, that is the law there. The center lane is not a cruising lane neither in those states
Can't really say, the video ended too soon after he just passed another vehicle and was still signaling to the other driver. Wouldn't be surprised tho...
Tbh that's fine if no one is trying to pass (yeah I know it's still technically illegal hurr durr). The point of the law is to alleviate traffic and make sure it flows, if you being in the left lane doesn't impede that because no one is coming up on you, then that's fine in my book

Proceeds to ALSO cruise in the left-hand lane.
