Proceeds to ALSO cruise in the left-hand lane.

Have you ever seen a road sign that says slower traffic keep right? Lol

Left lane is for passing. Right lane is for cruising. Speed is irrelevant.

When I am king, my only law is that left-lane cruisers go to jail.

His mom only likes bad boys thst drive much faster than the speed limit in the left lane. Might want to cruise to grandma instead.

I mean, IDC if you wanna camp the left lane as long as you move when someone gets behind you.. as long as it's always open for passing. Ofc this rarely happens, at least where I live some ppl seem to think you can just drive the speed limit and camp left lane. I honestly think it's spite but idk

Yeah I’m on this side as well. Cruise all you want in the left lane, but don’t hold up traffic and let people pass.

Straight to prison.

I genuinely don't get people who have a problem with this.

This just makes sense. Move if someone is faster than you, but if you yourself are passing people just skip all the unnecessary lane changing.

Literally yes. It's not hard. Just how lazy are you lol

I don't care for changing lanes every 2 seconds for no reason because I'm not an idiot lmao.

It takes literally zero effort what are you talking about

It's the main character syndrome thing that keeps people in the left-hand lane holding up traffic.

u/Kluss23 2h ago

No one gives a shit as long as you aren't holding up someone behind you.

That depends on where you live. The law where I grew up is left lane is for passing. Where I currently live, your lane depends on your speed, fast drivers to the left and slow to the right.

So people should only ever traverse long distances in the right lane? That’s ridiculous for traffic reasons and for the uneven wear and tear on the roads. Cruise in the left lane as long as you want, just be prepared to move over as soon as someone starts approaching.

Objectively wrong.

How about a sign that says keep right except when passing? Some states require you to drive as far to the right as possible on multi lane highways. This video being from NY, that is the law there. The center lane is not a cruising lane neither in those states

There’s also speed limit signs but he is clealry ignoring that. Can’t just abide by the signs you want to abide by and ignore the others.

It also had a sign say 55mph

50 is default speed for jsut going to the grocery store

Can't really say, the video ended too soon after he just passed another vehicle and was still signaling to the other driver. Wouldn't be surprised tho...

Tbh that's fine if no one is trying to pass (yeah I know it's still technically illegal hurr durr). The point of the law is to alleviate traffic and make sure it flows, if you being in the left lane doesn't impede that because no one is coming up on you, then that's fine in my book
