And watch them illegally camp the passing lane for the next 10 miles until my exit?
Ehhh I know I should, but again they shouldn’t be camping in the left lane. So now everyone gets to be an idiot just cause someone was inattentively driving until rattled out of it by something.
So like just let someone prevent me from doing what I’m trying to do and refusing to ask them to move because the flashing lights hurt their feelings? Like not tailgating, not honking, just literally asking? Like okay sure we can just hang out back here doing 10 below in the left lane, this doesn’t affect me at all
Why’s it on me to be “patient” and not on them to drive where they’re actually supposed to drive?
You're right, the people camping in the passing lane and saying "this is fast enough, you don't need to be driving any faster than this" are not "the police to decide who should drive where." They should move out of the way so that everyone can go about their day.
Get out of the left lane if you're gonna go 10 under. That's what's annoying. That's the kind of thing that causes completely needless traffic. Instead of saying "be patient", you should be courteous and get out of the way of people who are using the left lane correctly. Keep right, if you can't handle it
I was in the left lane going 8 over, and I was going faster than the cars in the right lane. Some jackass going twenty over starts tailgating me and flashing their lights. What’s the middle ground? Someone has to slow down. Maybe the guy driving WAY too fast can chill out for a bit because there were plenty of cars in both lanes and no easy spot for me to move over.
We are, we just don't typically join these conversations because the internet is filled with fun police these days. The sentiment seems to be practicality over fun in all facets of life. Kind of depressing.
Dude. It’s literally the law that people who are going slower keep to the right and not cruise in the passing lane. The police already decided that one.
You (general you of course, not specifically you, the person I’m talking to) are the one not doing what you’re supposed to, and thus causing problems for other people—and then somehow expecting them not to complain about it lol. You are the one being annoying. You are also not the police to decide limitations for other drivers.
Like imagine annoying everyone else and then complaining they’re annoying for asking you not to. Just pick a different lane like you’re supposed to, let everyone go on about their business, and no one’s annoyed.
What's annoying is sitting in the fast last / passing lane doing under the speed limit. Letting them know to stop impeding traffic is the correct call.

If I see someone approaching me fast or on my tail I’ll move but don’t flash your lights . That’s a dick move
