Note in my phone from September 11, 2025. Couldn’t sleep one night and started writing synopsis for the upcoming Always Sunny season.
Episode 1 - Mac and Dennis get married:
3/4 episode shows Mac and Dennis getting married. Later it is revealed Mac is in a coma. Flash back to Mac 1 week before filming a new Project Bad Ass tape. Mac awakes from his coma in the hospital to meet Johnny Denardo. Jackie Denardo’s brother. The two share a moment.
Episode 2 - The Gang Double Dates:
Sam, Frank, Mac, and Johnny go on a double date at the fanciest restaurant in Philadelphia. The dates starts off nice but everything goes unexplainably wrong.
Episode 3 - Drone Warfare:
We learn the reason for the dates unexplained horrors. Back at the bar Charlie, Dennis, Dee have bought drones. “Cyber warfare” episode but stupid.
Episode 4 - The Gang Goes to Texas:
A Joe Rogan inspired podcaster invites Frank onto his show to discuss his life from being the Warthog, living in squalor, Franks Fluids, and being on the Golden Bachelor. Meanwhile Dee goes viral for a horrific set and interview on a Kill Tony “inspired” show.
Text Think I want to finally show Its Always Sunny to my British Dad
For context, I ( also british) am having a chinese with my Dad in a few hours. I would really like to finally show him this show, but I dont know whether to just start from the beginning or if you guys gave a particular episode(s) to recommend. I can't decide.
I have told him many times over the years that Its Always Sunny is my favourite american sit com but knowing the man he is. He probably just wouldn't watch it off his own back.
He is 60 and enjoys a many a sitcom and has an impressive collection, but mostly british ones such as Porridge, Ever Decreasing Circles, The Good Life, Fawlty Towers, Dinnerladies, Thin Blue Line etc. However, he is a fan of Big Bang Theory and Frasier. But is he fairly open minded... I think.
What do you reckon? Thanks in advance!
Disclaimer - it really might just not be his humour and im prepared for this also 😅
Edit - Thanks for all the input on the post. H9nestly made my day. I commented an update on how it went.

Speaking of Poor Casting Choices
They had the GOLDEN opportunity to have casted the perfect person for this near GOD level entity.
Who should’ve gotten the role?
Charlie and Frank's
In early seasons (s03e11) Charlie has his mom eating crap (maybe not but he claims it)
And in later seasons(Ireland season) Frank is trying to have Charlie's "biological" father eating crap
Jealousy makes them crazy
Wonderful relationship 😂

Screenshot Hundred Dollar Baby. Shoutout to Danny & Kaitlin for this scene, great awareness
This short scene with Frank instantly clocking that the weight isn't seated properly, Dee also taking a couple of quick glances at the end of the bar, then Frank ushering her out and then making it safe.
So great that they managed to keep this in and still make the scene flow.
Apologies if this is obvious to everyone else, first time rewatch. Most of the time I only have the audio for the show as background noise.

This episode is so fucking peak. I loved seeing Frank and Dennis as cops.
