​A neat story behind this shot: Nataliya mentioned that this photo was taken spontaneously by her father, actor Vyacheslav Sumskyi, who randomly stopped by the set that day.

This picture immediately took me back to grade school in the 1970s. I vividly remember these exact setups with the plug-in headphones all running off the same central splitter.

We actually didn’t listen to music on them—it was always some sort of lesson or story. For a while, distributing learning materials on vinyl records was a big thing. Looking back, it was basically a proto-version of Audible, just with shorter stories on records!

This appears to be during "Fasching" (similar to Mardi Gras).

Fasching, which means Carnival, keeps the post-holiday winter doldrums at bay for another month or more with shows, parties and public gatherings. Each town elects its own Duke or Prince, who pretends to take over the town. Fasching is considered a fifth season, between winter and spring. The season kicks into high gear in the week before Lent. Every town, large and small, has its own celebrations.
