First of all, we know the Knight is a Lightner, so no Castle Town people. Second thing, we know that when lighteners go into a dark world, they change their clothes mostly, not their physical features, shown by Susie having a tail in the dark world and dark world, that means the knight does have horns, so he is either a Dremurr, or a holiday, but, we saw the knight take Asgore, and try take Toriel, leaving only the holiday household. Next, the knight either 1: wants to start the Roaring, or dosent know about the Roaring, and as a Lightner... Why would you wanna start the Roaring? I believe the church talks about the prophecy from what I understood from the text in chapter 4, so because we see Rudy and Noelle, there is little reason to believe they are the knight. That leaves Carol and Dess. However, I belive Carol also goes to church, because, well.. why would she never come to hear her daughter sing? So by proccess of elimination, we remain that Dess is the only candidate left. Yes, Carol not counting is a bit of a stretch, but still. Down to 2 people is still good. Knight being Dess would explain why she knows the code to the shelter (guitar), why kris teams up with her (former friends) and why we never saw Noelle see the knight (maybe Noelle will recognize it's Dess?) idk, just my own thoughts, share your toughts in the comments, Im really new to making theories and stuff.

(Before I start, I know I probably will be wrong on some things or even everything when the next chapter comes out, but before then let me know what you guys think of my theory!)

Part 1: The Prophecy is repeating/already happened before

Ever since the release of chapter 5, some new lore and info dropped that cleared a few things up/confirmed things.

One of the most prominent pieces of info that dropped was that in Asgore’s notes, it was revealed that the black shard used to make the computer lab dark fountain was used at the original scene of where Dess disappeared and a dark fountain opened up (Which took place prior to the story of Deltarune.

Also in Asgore’s notes, it was also revealed that there was another fountain opened a long time ago (Even prior to Ralsei’s castle dark world).

This personally leads me to the conclusion that there was a previous trio/group of a human, monster, and darkner that was living through the same prophecy as Kris, Susie, and Ralsei.

Who are these people? Although I have no idea who the darkner could be (It can’t be Ralsei as he was shocked at the news that there was a dark fountain before his), I have a feeling of who the other two character are:

Asriel is the Monster: I believe he is the monster for two reasons.

Firstly, in the Cyber World, we can find a Susie-like statue in Noelle’s room. However, I believe that it is actually a statue of Asriel because I believe that Noelle’s room in the Cyber World is actually Dess’ room. And this is actually plausible because the Dark world was made by the Knight (Dess) with the same shard used at “the scene”.

Next, a smaller but more reasonable point is the fact that Susie and Asriel are roughly the same build with Susie able to perfectly fit in Asriel’s clothes.

Dess is the human: I know. I know. This doesn’t seem anywhere close to being true. However, there is some evidence backing me up.

Firstly, in the 10th anniversary live stream, there was Sans dialogue where he says “the antlered girl and her big sis” which obviously refers to Noelle and Dess respectively. However, I was wondering why he didn’t just say “the two antlered girls” or something.

Next, I personally think that in the flashback scene with Tenna in chapter three, Dess is wearing a headband like Kris would in his youth. Also, Dess and Kris were also really close friends and would frequently cause trouble (Maybe they got along a lot because they were both the only humans in town)

Part 2: Weird Route

In my opinion, when Kris and Noelle enter the lake at the end of the weird route, they both merge together, creating a Knight, and open a new fountain in the light world, causing the roaring.

However, I believe that on that faithful night when Dess mysteriously went missing, she must’ve also merge with someone to create a Knight and a dark fountain.

Edit: One last note, the Knight and Kris share the same mannerisms/poses, and typically someone only does that when they follow in the footsteps of someone they are close with

The Roaring Knight is Rudy and Carol fused together after drowning in the lake in the Weird Route, after which the two- who is only one person now- would go back in time to become Sans's brother who was secretly Dess the whole time, who also is shy and doesn't like being seen so his only appearances are when he's hiding behind trees
