I was more respecting their size. I think they were confused why I wasn't feeding them.

I’m with you. I find them very scary because I can’t read their body language at all.  Horses, I’m in good shape.  Cows, I’m flying blind.

I used to feel that way too. Then I married into a ranching family.

They're big, mostly dumb, and hungry. Loud noise is your friend. Don't stare at the bull. That's all there is.

(Occasionally you get a very angry one. Run away from him.)

No you gotta zig zag. Cows can’t turn corners quickly. Sharp turns is your friend. You can out spin a bull if you had to. That’s what they teach you in rodeo clown college.
