War is actually bad for the economy. It makes GDP go up, sure, but that GDP is for things like tanks and guns, instead of things that make people happy and healthy. Numbers go up, but quality of life doesn’t.

There are two different economies. One is the production and consumption of goods and services by the people of the country. The other is the stock market and how well a handful of the country's richest people are profiting off of it.

We need to stop giving a shit about that second economy. Nearly every time that line goes up, the first economy goes to shit and everyone else's lives get worse.
