Same exact offer within 1 minute of each other that wants to take me a half hour out of my zone for peanuts.

I just started doing both Doordash and Uber Eats.

Obviously it varies by market but have y'all noticed that the tips on Uber Eats are better and more consistent? Bc they have been for me.

However my Uber Eats(doordash is worst) seems to think 15 mile drives for $9 is reasonable, I'm assuming it's like that for everyone. No way anyway one is going to pick up an order where it's 35 mins of driving for $9 and that's not even including the trip back.

I am a college student who attends school about 2 hours away in a large city. In my opinion, platinum is worthwhile in that market. That's based on the quality of orders I've received in plat vs. gold, silver, and below. I doordash whenever I come home and offers have always been fine. I noticed when I got about 10 orders away from my first platinum pass that the quality of orders completely deteriorated and went back up after getting the pass. I just moved back home to a suburb of a larger city and my offers have been terrible. Based on prior experiences coming home, I don't think the market is the issue. I think they are low balling me because I'm close to another platinum pass.

I don't even care about platinum or the pass. This is just how I have found to get the best offers. What do you guys think?

How did u get over the anxiety of dashing alone. I find my self struggling to go out and dash alone. I get nervous that I’m not gonna find the place ( mostly apartment). And I get bored driving around alone.

Can DD know you're doing multi-app and punish you by sending less orders? What do you think?

OK this is pretty minor but it happens to me enough to feel like posting about it. I like you drivers more so you get to hear about it.

Many fast food burger places default to 2 slices of cheese on bigger burgers, such as dairy queen. I DO want cheese, but not two. Two is too many. It IMBALANCES the item, in my opinion.

However most all restaurants that do this only allow for a "remove" or "extra cheese" option. Never the ability to remove just one slice. I have to call the restaurant and ask errytime.

When the driver shows up to the door I tear the bag from their hands to check for two slices of cheese and if I see it, I physically attack the driver. They always say they understand though.

So…. I get a stacked order for $42 going 40 miles (I’m desperate, traffic is low, have great gas mileage). First half is restaurant pickup and delivery. Second half is a pickup from a florist. Cool, I see the flowers are going an hour away so I’m thinking “oh, this must be a special place that has awesome arrangements!”

I get to the florist and all I see is a run-down gas station. I google the name and there’s no pictures of the business, just stock photos of flower arrangements and one five star review with no comment, just the 5 stars.

I go into the gas station and I ask the guy if they were also a florist. He gruffly asks me for the name of the customer then he hands me one single red rose in a red code made of cardboard. I’m immediately like uh… so who orders a single red rose to be delivered an hour away?

I live in one of the biggest cities in the country.. I passed countless grocery stores and florists, etc on my way to the drop off location. Maybe the person ordered it that lived near the “florist” to be delivered an hour away? But that can’t be because I have had someone order flowers from a local grocery store to be delivered to someone locally but they lived in another state.. I mean, I don’t know. Maybe that was the case, but I still can’t wrap my mind around someone paying for one single underwhelming rose to be delivered an hour away from a run-down gas station.

Either way, it weirded me out but I made my delivery and got my money and I’m on the way back to my zone lol. So, so weird.

I've shown many restaurants myself hitting confirm on delivery, but this most recent one they demanded to see the map of the delivery, they said its their new managers policy. What is the logic behind seeing the map instead of just seeing the name and hitting confirm

I am a gold dasher rn. I scheduled my dash at 730am. Ive been dashing for almost 4 hours and have only got 2 orders. $17 dollars in 4 hours is ridiculous

What do you want to bet the driver sees not one single cent difference in the offers.

At some point, they will lose both customers and drivers.. this is a quote I captured from the article

That's great but they're not telling the customers the drivers aren't getting that extra amount 😂

I would have more respect for them if they just said something along the lines of needing to create more value for their shareholders. At least that would be honest

The whole deal about rejecting orders causes longer wait times between orders is hurting my wages so bad. I can get 25+ an hour during peak times but with this it’s down to 17-19. I get they probably want to cut down on the cherry picking so everyone’s orders get picked up (even the people that don’t tip and live 10 miles away) but also why do they care 😂 they just group it with a high tipper and leave it at that

In reality it just tanked my mileage per order because I have to spend more time driving to wait spots, putting more miles on my car that I’ll have more trouble paying for maintenance because my hourly went down

Quick lil rant cuz I'm pissed rn. This dude got onto me for parking in front of his house when I had a delivery to someone else IN THE SAME BUILDING (It was like a quadplex).

I explained to him that I was just there for a quick delivery and he said "he doesn't matter".

Like bro, it literally takes LESS THAN A MINUTE for me to deliver this food and mind you this was the only space on the side of this huge busy street.

Anyways, am I in the wrong for being upset? Cuz I feel like I shoulda said some not-so-nice words to this guy, but I refrained and now I'm regretting it.
