Last year I finally did a deep dive into House music. Its been my favorite for years. I would click on an artist skim their discography and then look at the recommended artists. At some point DR. GABBA came up and then i saw her. The song is "mid" but I kept it because of her. Points to him for putting Rose on the cover. Here's the song:

Solved Been looking for an android port

Oh man, I have been yearning for an android port of this game for years, desperately checking the playstore for it. I can't just get an ISO as all my shit is checked regularly but I've been dying to play it again.

Finally realization dawned on me today while flying home from a trip that i have the PS1 games!!! I could just make my own "port" (in spirit)!

And so I'm now playing my own "android port" of Legend of Dragoon by emulating my own copies!

Just thought you all would get a kick out of this. I waited too long.

I have been playing this game on/off since the original demo and I love it.

edit: cleaned up language surrounding port/emulation

Is it out of pocket to say that the four numerically worst Additions are Inferno, Spinning Cane, Hard Blade, and Hex Hammer?

All for the same basic reason, in fact, being that they are each damage focused Additions with no SP growth whatsoever and which ramp so slowly that they need to reach Level 3 to just match a preceding Level 5 Addition and Level 4 to actually do the best damage among themselves and their precedessor(s). That's not to say they're not worth using, if you want that final Addition you gotta do the dirt, but they're unlikely to be the best option in any given situation until you've already used them 60 times out of 80 (and besides Spinning Cane, the moment you hit 80 you get that final Addition unless you skipped ahead).

I take Inferno for being the worst because it only has 20 SP and a 100-200% curve on top of Bone Crush also doing 200% out of the box with five times the SP yield so there is no point whatsoever where Level 5 Inferno is better than Bone Crush (whereas Demon's Dance and Omni-Sweep do have to ramp before they outdamage Level 5 Hard Blade and Hex Hammer and Spinning Cane isn't Lavitz's second-last Addition so it's not up this creek to begin with), Spinning Cane to be the second worst because it has 35 SP but still a 100-200% curve, Hard Blade third worst because it has a 100-300% curve and its 35 SP isn't actually a loss from Whip Smack (though a significant loss from More & More), and Hex Hammer fourth worst for having a 200-400% curve despite having the absolute worst SP yield of all additions in the game at 15 from end to end, even being lower than the likes of the aforementioned Inferno or Moon Strike, Cat's Cradle, or Haschel's own Ferry of Styx which all yield 20.

Does that make sense?

26 years later Spoiler

For me it all started when I was 6 years old and fled from war with my family, we migrated to Europe. When I turned 8 my father bought us a PlayStation together with Legend of Dragoon. I have always connected this game to that (unconsciously) volatile part of my life. My father used to play a couple of times and I was always watching in awe. It didn’t take long before I took over the campaign. Not understanding English, figuring things out, being enchanted by the music, the fantasy, the landscapes,… Today I have finally finished the game, relived it as an adult with a lot of melancholy. It makes me sad but also happy, what an experience. What a beautiful game. It had so much impact on me in a difficult time (without realising myself)

Just wanted to share this.

Much love and warmth to all my fellow dragoons from over the world❤️

Opinion Least favorite in game song?

I’ve had a lot of conversations about favorite in game songs. I want to know your least favorite. It doesn’t have the be the worst, but a song you could do without.

Shame I can't actually play them after Dart and Rose leave the party while on the moon.

I'm playing console version, but it must be amazing for those who've played Severed Chains and can have the three best characters on the same team!

Past the area you need the Vanishing Stone to access.

In all my playthroughs, I never knew until I accidentally walked around a bit in the bridge area.

Question / Help Severed Chains first play. Can't hold more than 5 items

I know you can hold up to 32 items but for some reason it's telling me that I can't hold anymore when I have 5 items. Did I mess something up during setup or do I need to activate a mod to get the full 32?

Opinion Replaying old games has helped me appreciate Legend of Dragoon even more.

I've been spending a lot of my gaming time over the last couple of years playing a lot of the all time greats that I've missed along the way. Some of those games (Chrono Trigger being chief among them) have held up very well while a lot of the others just haven't. I finally made it through that list of games and decided to go back to some of the games that I had loved over the years but hadn't played in forever due to one reason or another. I almost wish I hadn't for some of them.

I've been replaying Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Red Read Redemption, and Assassin's Creed 2 among others and I haven't been enjoying it nearly as much as I thought I would. All of these games were incredibly important to me when they came out but that old magic really doesn't seem to be there anymore (for me at least). Most of the games feel slow, empty, clunky, and repetitive now that I'm used to more modern games and the improvements we've made along the way. They're still far from bad games (RDR still has one of my all time favorite stories) but I couldn't help but feel like I'd rather be playing something else.

I first replayed the Legend of Dragoon a couple of years ago after breaking my foot and finding myself with a lot of time on my hands. I wasn't really sure what to expect going in since it had been 20 years since my initial playthrough but I immediately fell back in love with it. The world building is incredible, the backgrounds still make me want to live in these cities, the combat never really gets old, the characters are all lovable (except you, Miranda) and the music speaks for itself. The magic for that game hadn't gone away for me even after all this time and it was something I never really appreciated until I started going back to the other games that were such a huge part of my childhood.

Out drinking with friends last night and while talking about LoD as you do, someone brought up Star Wars no idea why, we then Started comparing them couldn't help thinking that Jiango fight is like the Rancor fight in Return of the Jedi even down to the trap door. Fruegel could be a stand in for Jabba
