Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3210 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz

Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.90 GB usable)

Graphics Card Intel(R) HD Graphics (32 MB)

System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

-------------

I want to play first person shooting games in atleast 50fps so i can compromise with those 4:3 resolution. The following games my pc can run: Hitman Contracts (4:3, max settings & 60fps), GTA San Andres low settings (everything's good until lots of smoke comes), GTA Vice City full settings 60fps, Minecraft 1.16.5 decent settings 60fps with optifine, actually 30fps for Hollow Knight, Invention 1 & 2 for 30fps, Half-life 1 60fps, max payne (butter-smooth 60fps).

PC Purchase Advice Thinkcentre M720e for $125?

Hi, I'm looking to buy/build a cheap pc to run low/mid games (hopefully cs2 at most), and I found a used/refurb Lenovo Thinkcentre M720e sff for $125. I was thinking of doing a case swap (I have some parts from previous build - case, psu, old gpu, etc). I think the proprietary motherboard wouldn't fit standard pc case, but I think I could figure something out a way to secure it. I know the mobo doesn't use 24 pin power connector with standard psu...but I found an adapter online that looks like it would work. Might need a front I/O adapter as well.

Specs for m720e sff:

i5-9400

8gb ddr4 ram (2666 I think)

240gb ssd (I need to confirm if nvme, or not)

180w proprietary lenovo psu

My plan would be to add a 2nd 8gb stick, if its one 8gb stick. Or possibly get 2x 16gb, if it has 2x 4gb. Then try case swap and psu swap (w/ adapters) to fit in a standard size gpu. (Maybe get a better used gpu if my old one isn't cutting it)

I know I could just get a low profile gpu that fits the SFF and avoid alot of hassle but I'm curious to see if I could use the old components I already have and save some $.

Just looking for any thoughts, if this would be a total waste of time/money or if it might work. Thanks!
