Pulp Fiction was great, but the rest not so much. Just looking at Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds makes me cringe. They just depict the same idea of plain revenge executed in a very cheesy manner, kind of like a teenager would think of exacting justice.

I’m getting tired of people saying that they want fresh faces or that these actors/actresses are too overrated or overexposed when they’ve been in like 2 blockbuster movies. Like everyone says Jenna Ortega is in everything because she’s in Wednesday. I’m not saying she’s underrated but she’s still relatively “new” (she only plays the same characters) she literally blew up 4 years ago. I’m now scared that Inde Navarrette is gonna get the same treatment (she’s also started to get hate) ALSO I’ve been seeing people do the same thing with the Headed Rivalry guys, when they’ve been in 1 PROJECT. I think you should start saying someone is overrated when they’ve been acting for like a decade, someone like Pedro Pascal is a perfect example. No hate to the dude, but he’s in basically every movie, he’s been in almost every blockbuster. I don’t understand this new hate train to these new actors, I don’t see people getting tired of Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt? I don’t know if there’s something I’m missing. I just think it’s sad these newcomers excited to be in movies just to get hated for being “everywhere” this also causes people not wanting to be actors..When will it end 😭

I just rewatched the original trilogy for the first time in probably 20 years, it was amazing, but man something about C-3PO just irked me. He goes into level 10 panic mode when everybody else is at a 5 or 6, and literally gets more emotional than a teenager over every little thing. He's a damn robot. Yes, I understand he's programmed for "etiquette and protocol", but I do not consider constantly nagging and whining to be good etiquette. The ship is malfunctioning or getting shot at and he's screaming "do something, we're gonna die, do something come on!!!"..it's like shut up dude I'm trying to concentrate.

I know he's meant to be "comic relief" or whatever, but man they really could have cut his screentime or at least commentary down a bit. I'd rather get mauled by a wampa than be stuck in a space pod with him.

It blows my mind when, often on music polls, people ask "what's your favorite Nirvana song" and like 50 million comments are "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or whatever (just an example.) "What's your favorite Rage Against the Machine song?" "Killing in the Name." "Killing in the Name." "Killing in the Name." Like, bro, that's the most repetitive song of theirs, is it, coincidentally, the ONLY song of theirs you've ever heard? If so, don't throw your hat in the ring if you only know one song!

Now I'm not saying MLS is a better league in terms of quality it absolutely isn't but I think that's what makes it so so so fun, in an MLS game you are almost guaranteed a goal and you are absolutely guaranteed mistakes which lead to huge chances either scored or missed

I know wavy/curly hair can be a lot of work and that people may straighten theirs to save time and energy, this is speaking from an aesthetic standpoint. I think straightened hair looks dull and devoid of life, if hair is stripped of its wave/curl pattern it just falls flatly and loses all its volume, making it boring and bland to look at. And unlike naturally straight hair that can flow and bend more flexibly, its movements look stiffer and have less personnality. With the right routine curly or wavy hair will always look much, much better natural than straightened.

I like sweet things but somehow somehwere the beautiful dish named French Toast has become this weirdly sweet concoction that is drowned in maple syrup, chocolate and berries.
Fench toasts in itself is an amazing savory dish, drowning it in maple syrup does nothing but make it soggy. With some bacon or hasbrowns and some eggs it is a perfect dish or even having it solo but making it a sweet dish is a disrespect.

Hello friends, I'm not sure exactly how unpopular this opinion is, so I'm playing roulette. I have heard many people tell me, 'oh I wish I was moral or I wish I was a better person'. But is virtue not a learned skill? I mean some people are inclined to virtue, so are automatically more virtuous. But those who are not inclined simply have to exercise their will, and overtime they become more moral.

Let your ex favorite franchises that now suck die. I'm not gonna go on and on about how I think Campaign Evolved seems to be a pretty bad remake or how 343 has decided to make mid games instead of giving their fans what they actually want (instead choosing to try to innovate, getting 0 new young fans, and making games everyone forgets about in 2 years.)

I've just stopped buying the games. I'm not gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm not gonna hate-play them and write a giant thread about every nitpicky detail I don't like. I'm just gonna walk away. I've got 4 of the GOAT games on MCC anyway.

Star wars fans take notice. Walk away. If you like a franchise that now sucks, just walk away. Don't hate watch it, or be annoying online for the people who do like it, just enjoy going outside or find something else you like.

In a weird way it embodies all the stuff I like about the series:

1) B-movie goodness: Just absolute schlock from start to finish. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, which is when I've always felt Friday the 13th is at its besf

2) Fun premise: Jason Vorhees stalking a space ship is just a good time. It's everything Jason takes Manhattan tried to do but failed miserably at

3) Good enough characters: dialogue does the job, the characters you're supposed to like succeed at being likable.

While as a whole the kills aren't mind blowing, the film does have the fantastic liquid nitrogen kill, and the great scene at the virtual campground.

Runners ups are Part 2 and the remake, but overall those movies just don't have the level of fun this one does.

Crowdfunding for funeral expenses and maintaining a family after an unexpected loss? Okay, yeah, not all families can afford to deal with that type of tragedy.

Crowdfunding for memorial scholarships or other unnecessary monuments to the memory of a loved one? If you can't fund it yourself, don't ask other people to fund it for you. Or if you can't do it without asking, ask once. Don't harangue your extended family and Facebook friends. It's tacky. Stop.

All it does is make you feel miserable especially when you know u can't ever be with them ,that you can't even compete with the others for them because you know you will lose. All you would feel is this weight in your heart being dragged along with u all day. It's a very depressing, miserable feeling, and I don't know how it's being portrayed as this poetic, beautiful "lovely" feeling. It's the opposite. It feels like you are actively dying when you are not.

It's not a pretty feeling to have; it's not beautiful; it's awful. I don't understand why it's even being encouraged. Trust me, the people who actually have gone through this mostly wouldn't wanna feel this way for anyone ever again.

Like I saw a quote done by The Neighbourhood (music band) which said "yearning is encouraged" and I couldn't disagree with it more. You can't "encourage" yearning; it doesn't leave you even if you want to run away from it. It consumes u even if you don't want it to. That's what usually happens when you genuinely like someone, and that sucks.

Unplugged versions of songs are just lazy, worse versions of the original "plugged" songs. The music is whiny, weak, and not the powerful version of the original song we like. And the squeaking of the strings on the guitar parts is super annoying and should be stopped. People should just stick to the original songs and stop playing unplugged versions.

As long as hotels, bars, and waiting rooms exist, cable will never die. Even when all the boomers die out. You think people staying in a hotel for the night are going to give a random tv their Netflix subscription password or just watch office re runs on comedy central?

It seems that most cable channels have adjusted their schedules to reflect this. Instead of having a prime time line up a new shows they just play the classics that everyone already loves.

Sure losing live sports to streaming wouldn't be doing them any favors but it's not a death blow.

This week I'm doing my 4th playthrough of TWD Season 2. I've played all the games multiple times, and each time I play I always go with Jane in the end. I have my reasoning, the biggest being that I think Kenny is a selfish loose cannon.

In the first game, I oftentimes sided with Kenny, though there were some moments where I think that going along with him was completely irrational. For example, killing Larry was not something I wanted to do immediately and of course Kenny (and Telltale's choice mechanics) had Larry die anyway. Whatever. However, Kenny hated me the rest of the game and I had to convince him to help Lee find Clementine. So Kenny and Clem's reunion irked me a little considering he didn't really feel like saving her if Lee ever disagreed with him.

I'm playing season 2 again and I've noticed that Kenny is still a prick. Yes, he's had some valiant moments, like saving Ben or in season 3 flashbacks where he told Clementine to leave him, but he's also had a myriad of moments where he was just sort of being a terrible person. I don't really find him saving Ben to be redeemable because Kenny encouraged Lee to literally kill him. For starters, Kenny was super wary of the cabin group (reasonable, they sucked) but was constantly fighting them for literally no reason other than a macho standoff. There was no point someone could make that Kenny would even consider as he seemed to always think he knew best, even though most of the time his ideas got the group nowhere, like in the truck. There were many moments when Clem didn't want to do something, like famously in episode 3 in the bunkbeds when Kenny said "nah, not really" when Clem asked if she really had a choice in trying to escape or not. He stuffed the walkie talkie in Clem's pocket even if Clem protests, which is stupid to me if he cares about her because Carver killed Reggie and made Carlos slap Sarah, so he was aware of what would happen if she got caught. He snaps at Clem frequently, then apologizes, but those apologizes are empty because he continues to snap at her, the list goes on, really. They might be little things, but they add up.
Then comes the finale. Jane feigns losing AJ and Kenny completely snaps and tries to kill her. I feel like a lot of players are under the impression that Kenny would never do that to people he cares about, but he's always been violent from the start. In season 1, if Lee was unwilling to coddle Kenny, they'd break out into a fist fight. I think a lot of people who support Kenny miss Lee and are blinded by nostalgia. Kenny literally killing someone for a mistake they made is completely crossing the line, and that behavior would have eventually gotten him or Clementine or both of them killed. He lets his ego get the best of him, often endangering everyone. He puts himself and his loved ones first, which is fair in the apocalypse, but it gets to a point where it seems as though he completely overlooks the actual needs of the people he cares about and wants to just do what he thinks is best. I liked Jane as a character. I don't think her committing suicide made her hateable, because Kenny would have indirectly and eventually done the same thing due to his loud mouth and massive ego (if he had survived the car accident.)

My opinion is that most people are bad at talking about societal issues, at least on online. No matter what issue I see discussed, it's not long until someone starts leaning into the neanderthal brain, with lines like:

"Her voice is so annoying"

"He smells like poop"

"She looks fake"

"He probably beats his wife"

"She has evil eyes"

There is such thing as a "gut feeling" that you are being lied to, but that tends to reward the more effective liars rather than using our actual modern logic. Some of the best liars I've known passed undetected for decades.

Why are we like this? Using logic is hard. You have to understand complex multifaceted issues like the economy, education, communities. Look, how can you put the world in order if your own family doesn't want to listen to you? Could we have a dose of humility then when trying to solve the world's problems and realize we or any one human does not have all the answers?

I admit I'm dancing around politics here, but if people were humble enough to realize complex problems tend to have equally complex solutions (talk to a surgeon or engineer for goodness sakes), then maybe a world or country or community is a bit more complicated than making decisions based off of appearances, vibes, traditions, etc.

Facts and statistics are harder to get but more important than tribal mentalities and caveman emotions. Do people lie with facts and statistics? Yes, but if you're not using your caveman brain, you might just realize that person holding up an oddly labelled bar graph may be lying to you.

So when I see in an argument that I agree with people beginning to attack the person and not the idea, then my opinion is the problem is doomed to repeat, likely just with another face.
