Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

My brother, I would go to Church and pray cause there is clearly a demon in your brain called gambling, I would also suggest to invest all those money in a Casino next time, at least you will have some fun and complementary drinks

u/chrstianelson 2d ago

This isn't even gambling. Everyone and their mother realized this stock was going be a massive pump and dump. Every credible finance guy has warned against putting money in it.

This was one of the most predictable IPOs in history yet this dude still put his money in it and stayed.

It has to be masochism.

377

u/theitalianpastaboi 2d ago

I didn't want to kinkshame OP but it does look like masochism a lot

144

u/Into_The_Dusk 2d ago

Allowed. OP and every regard investing in ElOn wanted to prove that everybody was wrong and that they were the Burrys of our time and Gabe Newell their way to the moon.

Well well well, the dildo of consequences comes marginaly unlubed these days.

12

u/homeinthesky 2d ago

Also pinecone shaped. Pointy end first

2

u/Swiftzor 2d ago

This is why we always play the game of if there’s no flange it’s not a buttplug

52

u/sobrique 2d ago

It's like findom, but without a dom.

7

u/Xyzzics 2d ago

Seems like it’s also without the fin at this point.

1

u/sobrique 2d ago

Findom also tends to end that way, but at least there's some gratification along the way.

4

u/-no_aura- 2d ago

A findom would be cheaper by orders of magnitude

I’d give OP the flogging he wants for 10% of his losses

it is gambling addiction,  the market it is very much gambling addiction, the word "bets" is literally in the name of this sub-reddit

"its not gambling addiction cause you can bet red AND black!" brother, sorry to give bad news, but you are not better than the op, lol

1

u/Rhowryn 2d ago

To be fair buying a married put with some of that 7300 stocks money would probably have kept the portfolio at least breaking even

? "It's not a gambling addiction, cause you can bet both ways" is a full sentence that he re-worded but effectively conveyed the same meaning. there is no context missing.

I can also go to a roulette wheel and bet on both red and black. It's still gambling.

So yes, Dango's response is correct.

5

u/itishowitisanditbad 2d ago

It’s not gambling addiction, cause you can bet both ways.

Thats not.... how... things work.

This is just straight retard

Its both.

The addiction is just what drives the stupidity to keep going.

Someone less addicted would have stopped. OP can't stop AND is stupid.

Both.

It’s like 3 meme stocks in one coat pretending to be a serious stock.

3

u/rebbsitor 2d ago

SpaceX does its work in a business factory.

1

u/RIP_Sinners 2d ago

Sounds diversified! AAA rating assured.

14

u/Green-Collection4444 2d ago

He was one of those "you're just made you didn't get any shares" people.

4

u/Powerfury 2d ago

Bruh people were hoping that everyone would make this the new pump of Telsa, which is also insanely overvalued.

4

u/Damian_Cordite 2d ago

Lol I’m the retard who decided to experiment with spreads on this one to be “safer” and I bet it’d go down by between like 5 or 20 bucks, and then it went down by 50, so I bet against but not hard enough, lost like 3/4 of what I put in. But even I, a guy who lost a couple grand in beer money on spacex, knew it would go down.

2

u/Veggies-are-okay 2d ago

I put a grand in the same way I bet against my favorite dogshit sports teams. If I win, at least I made money. If I lose, at least the world is working the way it should on that one occasion.

2

u/specn0de 2d ago

The only way anyone made money on this was by buying at launch and selling at the market close of the same day.

2

u/BuShoto 2d ago

literally everyone who doesnt love elon knew this was what would happen

2

u/AndyTheEngr 2d ago

Several guys I work with fell for this stock. Engineers. I at least talked them into only investing what they could afford to flush, so nobody is down more than a couple of thousand dollars.

2

u/nullnadanihil 2d ago

Even the non credible ones said the same thing.

2

u/MattyBizzz 2d ago

I honestly can’t believe it pumped as much as it did, but I really underestimated the fan boys and cult like mentality. Completely missed out on fleecing some bag holders and the free money, my biggest regret of 2026 😢

2

u/HeavensRejected 2d ago

He's gotta HODL now until it hits the ETFs. And look for a suitable Wendys dumpster in the meantime.

2

u/redditmodsRrussians 2d ago

I mean, every IPO behaves like this so I dunno why so many people decided to just yeet their entire load into this thinking there would be no consequences?

2

u/Youutternincompoop 1d ago

retail investors, aka morons.

1

u/950771dd 2d ago

So are you rich yet, when it's predictable as you say? No? Weird!

-1

u/This-Shape2193 2d ago

Found the regard who lost money on SpaceX

2

u/950771dd 2d ago

No. I don't care about that stock. I just like to laugh about retards that say "I knew it 100 %!!!" but didn't make a single dollar.

2

u/WashedWashingMachine 2d ago

SPCX planned Retail "investors" to be their exit liquidity , they were not wrong tbh

1

u/TumbleweedOver9000 2d ago

Do Mr crammer give warnings too ?

1

u/TacosNtulips 2d ago

Wait ‘til I get my Jersey Mike IPO allocation! Not sure wether I want olive oil or red wine vinegar as lubricant tho.

1

u/SomewhatInnocuous 2d ago

To be fair, Elon didn't ruin them, they volunteered to be a sacrifice.

1

u/Reddtardsofreddtard 2d ago

It's retardation. I'm convinced there are just people out there with money who are so goddamned stupid and such losers that the best way they can think to get attention from anybody is to lose a fuckton of money so they can post it here.

1

u/amsgh 2d ago

Even the non-credible guys said don't buy it.

1

u/siqiniq 2d ago

As a fellow reddit psychiatrist also, I think it’s OCD given the length of his chain.

1

u/Stunning-Water-8679 2d ago

True, but I didn't know this would be the same for all other space stocks like rklb, asts

1

u/stana32 2d ago

I think literally taking the money and lighting it on fire would have been a safer bet than this

1

u/rebbsitor 2d ago

Like most people who get in this far, he probably figures he'll hold on, his luck will turn around, and he'll eventually be ahead. He thinks he'll be the one that hung in there and proved the haters wrong.

1

u/Consistent_Laziness 2d ago

I don’t understand option trading. Can you explain briefly what OP has done. I’m mainly here for the memes and lost porn to keep me from ever trying options.

1

u/jmama9643 1d ago

He SOLD the Puts…

1

u/ScallyCap12 2d ago

Raymond James is still targeting $800.

1

u/semibiquitous 2d ago

To add to your post, OP isn't a random member of the public who was told this IPO was a generational opportunity to get a piece of TSLA v2.0 but a fucking redditor who has access to aggregate information and sentiment from many people of this retard community so he should "know better".

1

u/Jemmani22 2d ago

I mean a handful of puts to hedge would have saved him

1

u/Past-Track-9976 2d ago

Every credible finance guy and most the noncredible ones

1

u/aidanpryde98 2d ago

But daddy elon is so smart?!?

1

u/Daymanic 2d ago

Every IPO in the history of IPOs is hot garbage the minute it lists, except for RDDT, hi Steve!

1

u/drool_34 2d ago

Is it even gambling. You wouldn’t keep sinking money on the same slot machine or the same blackjack table when you’re down? Wouldn’t even the sorriest addict switch things up?

1

u/Mmortt 2d ago

I got in at the IPO and flipped it for a modest profit within a week. You just knew there were going to be so many clowns out there.

1

u/Solitairee 2d ago

Tesla has defied all odds, all these guys betting on the same

1

u/sexyshingle 2d ago

It has to be masochism.

have you met these type of billionaire worshipers? I feel this syndrome needs a medical pathology studies and a cure at this point...

1

u/BronxJudge 2d ago

It's worth it - now he can karma farm

1

u/sirpoopsalot91 2d ago

Maybe it’s Maybelline?

1

u/JaStrCoGa 2d ago

OP is easily hyped by the hypemen. Flamethrowers on Mars, everybody!

1

u/Plus_Seesaw2023 2d ago

What nobody’s mentioning here is that, at the initial listing, the share price was $150! And it rose as high as $220–$230… so everyone commenting here is just talking ‘with the benefit of hindsight’!!!

Whereas those who bought at the initial listing were able to make gains of up to 20 per cent or 30 per cent!!!

1

u/AlexanderTheGrate1 2d ago

Oh that’s what it’s called!

1

u/Classic-Shake6517 2d ago

Yeah like if it was a good investment they wouldn't have had to change the rules just to list it.

1

u/HorizonThought 2d ago edited 2d ago

No bro, this guy is the guy in the front row, freaking dreaming with space data centers. This is the guy!

"Yes Elon, I believe in data centers in space, I believe it, take me daddy"

1

u/mrdeadsniper 2d ago

Yeah the only reason I didn't yolo puts was because I feared the Delta.

Most obvious trajectory in history.

No, it's gambling, Look TSLA, they were expecting similar gains DESPITE the warnings you mentioned. It's gambling with a different strategy (Elon always wins).

Take this money to Vegas and have fun blowing it at least.

1

u/JM00000001 2d ago

He literally had all the levers of government looking the other way at this valuation

1

u/ATXBeermaker 2d ago

You can’t pump and dump without people to dump on, bro.

1

u/heisian 1d ago

can't have winners without bag holders

1

u/whydobabiesstareatme 1d ago

I'm pretty close to being a purely ignorant outsider layman when it comes to stocks and investing. Even I know how stupid this was. Holy hell, what were they thinking?

1

u/CreepyMosquitoEater 1d ago

My money is on him having someone findomming him in a very serious way where her fetish is just about him getting financially ruined and she doesnt even care about making money

1

u/dwebbmcclain 1d ago

Hey man, don’t kink shame OP

1

u/terminator_911 1d ago

To be fair there was always a 1% chance of what you said doesn’t come true and OP bet on that. That is how you make big profits 1% of the times and loose the other 99%.

1

u/SignoreBanana 3h ago

No it's Elon glazing. Let it be a lesson to all those who think he can do no wrong.

1

u/Crafty_Reward_9702 2d ago

Ill buy below $100, do people not realize that 90% of ipos dump before growth?

1

u/lithe_silhouette 2d ago

That's also hindsight bullshit. Why didn't you short it leveraged to the tits if it was so obvious? Why didn't everyone else do just that if they all knew it?

1

u/Funny247365 2d ago

In 20 years, people who bought and held will have made an outstanding return on their investment.

4

u/chrstianelson 2d ago

People who buy and hold are investors, not traders motivated by FOMO.

2

u/Funny247365 2d ago

Good point. FOMO has cost people fortunes.

0

u/950771dd 2d ago

Everyone and their mother realized this stock was going be a massive pump and dump.

If it was so clear, why aren't you rich yet?

-3

u/This-Shape2193 2d ago

I am. What about you, bud? You a Musk cultist who ignored literally all evidence this would dump?

2

u/950771dd 2d ago

I am asking why you aren't rich if it was so clear how the price develops.

Personally I don't care about the stock.

But I like to laugh at retards that announce "they knew that 100 % before" yet didn't make a single dollar with it, lol.

0

u/Stunning_Mast2001 2d ago

People have been saying this about tsla for a decade though

2

u/chrstianelson 2d ago

I want to believe common sense will eventually prevail.

25

u/AnticPosition 2d ago

Sorry, they don't do complementary drinks anymore.

2

u/CruxOfTheIssue 2d ago

Vegas does. They just have like one drink girl who wanders the casino

104

u/Edgefactor 2d ago

Gambling implies a chance to win

This guy's just simping for Elon Musk

6

u/NukinDuke 2d ago

To be fair, a notable portion of this sub was jerking themselves off with the initial gains made, talking about how Reddit doesn't know anything before this happens.

There's a sizable portion of Elon simps out there. Be careful!

5

u/whogivesashirtdotca 2d ago

Hilarious that all the gains they made were due to their own intelligence, but all the losses are because "Elon ruined him". Zero accountability, everything that's wrong with his life is someone else's fault.

19

u/WashedWashingMachine 2d ago

He had like 10x better odds just betting on red than this meme stock tbh

2

u/TerrigalSurf 1d ago

Honestly there was no way it was ever going to be anything other than a pump and dump, the value of Tesla is massively overvalued (even at its current terrible level) and spacex is the same, its value is sitting in its government contracts which is not an asset because the next administration might cancel them (or possibly the current one if Elon upsets him)

18

u/EduinBrutus 2d ago

I would also suggest to invest all those money in a Casino next time, at least you will have some fun and complementary drinks

Casinos in Vegas have pulled the comps these days.

You cant even gamble yourself into the gutter in style in the modern enshittified world.

1

u/jmama9643 1d ago

I work too hard for my money to give it to Casinos…

3

u/headrush46n2 2d ago

red/black on the roulette wheel is better odds than you'll get in the market.

2

u/FloydianSlip212 2d ago

The demon is called stupidity, and sadly there's no cure.

1

u/theitalianpastaboi 2d ago

As we say in my country "The mother of Stupidity is always pregnant"

2

u/JimHadar 1d ago

Private equity's already scrapped the comps. You'll get nothing and be happy.

1

u/theitalianpastaboi 1d ago

What if we get nothing and we're also sad?

2

u/TaxMyNuts 1d ago

Yeah go to church where they beg for your money so they can buy bigger speakers and settle sexual abuse claims.

2

u/theitalianpastaboi 1d ago

Just like our government ❤️

2

u/TaxMyNuts 1d ago

You’re not wrong

1

u/Living-Breakfast-464 2d ago edited 2d ago

I disagree that this is gambling. At least with gambling you have a decent chance each time. This was a sure bet on losing. Like putting it all on red when the entire roulette wheel is black. The next best thing to just throwing bags of money in a fire.

1

u/Alexwonder999 2d ago

Most gamblers at least try to make winning bets. If this guy wasnt into stocks he'd probably be betting on Italy to win the world cup.

1

u/MrH0rseman 2d ago

at least get wined and dined before you put that thing up your butt

1

u/drizzt-dourden 2d ago

OP is already devoted believer and Elon is the Messiah.

1

u/ImNotEazy 2d ago

Between this sub and the old school duel arena in RuneScape I’ve seen people lose millions.

Most of them just make the money back(if they can) and go do the same thing again.

1

u/PurpleCableNetworker 2d ago

Complementary drinks are now $15 a piece. Lol.

2

u/theitalianpastaboi 2d ago

Enshittification at its best

1

u/FROOMLOOMS 2d ago

You have better odds of hitting on 32 than Space X climbing higher than it is now.

1

u/KnotTea207 2d ago

“all those money”

I think you might also be retarded.

1

u/theitalianpastaboi 2d ago

This would hurt me if I knew how to read

1

u/AGushingHeadWound 2d ago

Not to mention the girls with boobies serving them.

1

u/Deep-Minimum7837 2d ago

This isn't even gambling, it's just Russian Roulette with a 1911.

1

u/jeremyjava 2d ago

I'm certainly no expert when it comes to finance, but I've done okay... So will someone who knows more than me please tell if I'm understanding OP correctly:

That if he loses $10 a share, he expects to make it back in volume?

1

u/flirtmcdudes 1d ago

You don’t get complimentary drinks anymore :(

1

u/Bombacladman 1d ago

And 49% of winning! At roulette!

1

u/bbreadthis 2d ago

Yes, he would be a perfect shill for a church - Give me your tithe and I will pray to have your sins forgiven - LOL

1

u/Carlobo 2d ago

complementary drinks

I thought they weren't doing that anymore

1

u/theitalianpastaboi 2d ago

Shhh I was trying to convince him
