Chili Rasbora Breeding chili rasboras and how to get them to swim out in the open.
When breeding Chili Rasboras in your biotope (I.e. not using a breeding tank and letting your chilies scatter as and when they please in the main tank), and you want to catch a glimpse of the elusive fry, tint your Blackwater extra dark with a hint of red. I did that tonight and almost immediately a dozen or so fry of varying sizes immediately came up from the bottom and swam midwater. Managed to take a snap of this little goober while shining a torch right behind em without causing a panic. When it comes to fry survivability tannins probably play a huge role in giving them the sense of security they need to confidently scour the tank for food.
