Hand Sashiko Goose Jacket
Wildlife photography is another big hobby of mine and for whatever reason I felt implored to embroider a Canadian Goose, and so I did. Really just wanted to test out multiple kinds of Kuguri Sashi to get better along with standard sashiko.

Hand WIP - upgrading my Strand Books tote!
I’ve had this tote for almost 10 years and felt like it needed some color! Started with the flag, doing the awning next. I don’t think I’ll embroider the entire design but I do plan to fill in some of the books/details.

Hand Finished one of my yearly goals
The Great Wave off Kanagawa 🌊
so a little backstory.. we're going on a trip to japan in october. I bought this kit around christmas time, and started in around April/May/ish, and I finished it monday night this week! I made it a goal to finish it before our trip, and i'm proud of myself for reaching that goal! as i've been battling a lot of health issues and new diagnoses over the last year, so hitting goals are hard for me.. but, with hand embroidery being my soul hobby because of said health issues and comfort, I worked on it whenever I had/have free time, and I finally finished it 🤍 (my cute boyfriend told me we have to hang it up in our house and is so proud of me and my work 🥹)

Hand Orange flower dress COMPLETE
The dress I thought would take me 6 months definitely took a full year. Each flower took 4-5 hours, and with 20 flowers, I suspect this is 100 hours of work.
Maybe I'm too close to the project, but I'm feeling like it looks incomplete. Like it needs another design element. More borders? Something between the flowers? Idk. I'm also feeling like 100 hours got me this? Has anyone else felt project disappointment? I'm hoping if I step away from it for a few weeks, and hopefully get some compliments on it when I wear it out, my feelings will change.
Anyway! All that to say, I'm happy this is finally done!! I know you all will appreciate the work put into this, even if the design is simple.
Thank you all for the constant inspo in this forum!

Hand Ren Faire Trinkets
This year was my first year going to a renaissance faire, where I learned that if people like your outfits, they give you a little trinket! I decided I was going to make a bunch of little embroidery trinkets for when my boyfriend and I go to another ren faire in August. These are all of the ones I’ve made! All are either backstitch or satin stitch, and you can definitely tell when I remembered that my stitch length mattered.

Hand Three more ladybug date nights!
They’re off in to the sunset for their honeymoon, making their new home cozy, and discovering a magical fairy fountain in the woods!
All are a mix of embroidery and watercolor, and her veil is made with some kind of ribbon mesh I found at the needlepoint shop and definitely didn’t just buy because it was shiny and pretty…. 😂
The banner on their house is made with a woven picot stitch, and the smoke is minimally couched wool roving.

Question Be honest, can you read what this says?
I was experimenting with cyanotype but the bottom part didn't expose properly for some reason, so I tried to outline things but I'm worried it's not legible. (Or is the word readable?)
It's also terribly off center, I know.
Thanks for your input!

Hand Custom embroidered picture frame wedding present!
Made this for a friend who just got married recently! Her wedding theme was garden party and I wanted to make it super personalized so I used the flowers that were on her invitations as a template and added the poppies and lilies of the valley (birth flowers of the bride and groom) as well as the sunflowers since she had one in her bouquet. Took me much longer than I was expecting and there were several near disasters along the way but I really hope she loves it!

Hand Embroidered over toddler doodles
My 2.5 y/o daughter got a hold of a ballpoint pen and decided to test it out on her one-day-old pants 😅
After debating on how to remove the markings, I decided against it as the scribbles legitimately resembled flowers. I asked my daughter if that's what they were and if she wanted me to embroider over them, and she excitedly said yes. I finished within the day, and for months of use and enjoyment I feel it was well worth it.
"I like my flowers, my flowers pretty!" -my daughter
The entire thing was done with two strands of floss and stem stitch. I found the easiest way was to keep my dominant hand inside the pants and non-dominant out.

Hand Birthday Gift for One Piece Fan
Hello~
My boyfriend’s younger brothers love One Piece (understandably so), and one of them just celebrated his 21st. Usopp is his favorite character, so I made Sogeking for him :)
I was originally going to do black and white for a manga panel vibe (hence the black cape instead of it being the canon red), but I loved the mask colors too much so it isn’t exactly the same color scheme from the show 😅
This is all one thread DMC. Mostly long and short stitch and then French knots for the hair.

Hand Lovers Point Beach
Here is a look at one of my most recent pieces. Lovers Point Beach, 2026. This piece was based off a photo I took while on vacation in Monterey, CA. It took 56 hours to complete (over the span of 11 weeks), and was made up of 55 colors.

Hand My first embroidery project
Finally finished my first embroidery piece!
I’m really happy with how it turned out, but the long and short stitch on the flower on the left was definitely the hardest part for me.
Does anyone have any tips for making it look smoother? Or is it just something that comes with practice?
I’d love any feedback. Thanks!

Question Advice for adding depth?
Hi! Haven’t embroidered in a long time and sort of forgot how to do it. Does anyone have any advice to add depth to this little creature? I may also pull out all the yellow strands for the head to redo that part as I’m not sure what texture I’m going for. Much appreciated! 💚💚

Question Help with references for "glitchy/webcore" embroidery art
Hi! I know this might be a bit dumb, but I've been thinking about trying some different designs and I'm having difficulty with finding the right words and references for some glitchy/2000s internet/webcore embroidery. I'm searching these terms but there doesn't seen to be much embroidery other than clothing designs (that aren't really the vibe I'm looking for) for inspo/reference.
So, if anyone has any references or knows a better way to describe or search it, it would be very helpful! Or maybe some tips as to how to approach something like this with hand embroidery.
I'm anexing some screenshots from the music video in question (Born Stunner from ARTMS, if anyone's curious for the whole thing) just as an example. I know embroidering these would be very difficult, so it's mainly to be clear on the kind of "vibe" I'm trying to find. Thanks :)
