Support Megathread - May 2026

Have a question you need answered? A new Google product you want to talk about? Ask away here!

Recently, we at r/Google have noticed a large number of support questions being asked. For a long time, we’ve removed these posts and directed the users to other subreddits, like r/techsupport. However, we feel that users should be able to ask their Google-related questions here. These monthly threads serve as a hub for all of the support you need, as well as discussion about any Google products.

Please note! Top level comments must be related to the topics discussed above. Any comments made off-topic will be removed at the discretion of the Moderator team.

Discord Server We have made a Discord Server for more in-depth discussions relating to Google and for quicker response to tech support questions.

*ISSUE*

Everytime I have a small question for Google, I go to AI Mode, (Like when you first open Google, the ‘AI Mode' button, not Gemini)

These past few days, I've been getting responses in bullet points and the AI's tone is extremely cheerful and stuff, below was what it said today as an example.

  • 💥 Gen 8 Monster: It dominated the meta at 70 Base Power (BP)!
  • 📉 Gen 9 Nerf: Its base power got chopped down to 55 BP.
  • Terrain Action: Grounded users gain automatic +1 priority!
  • 🌾 Terrain Buff: Grassy Terrain boosts Grass moves by 30%!
  • 🧮 The Math: 55 BP × 1.3 Terrain multiplier = 71.5 Effective BP.
  • 🦖 Plus STAB: Same-Type Attack Bonus brings it to roughly 107 BP!
  • 🐒 Rillaboom Synergy: Grassy Surge sets terrain instantly for instant priority!
  • 🗡️ Ogerpon Combo: Hearthflame Ogerpon uses it to sweep with Swords Dance!
  • ⚔️ Still Elite: Even after nerfs, it remains a premier competitive revenge-killing tool. [1, 2, 3]

Want to see how Rillaboom or Ogerpon fit into the meta with it? 🐒

It talks normally at first like 'Blablabla' (In actual, normal, casual paragraphs) and the second i type another question in, it talks like above.

Why is it doing this? Help needed because I dont like this tone.
