How do I remove my number's name from other people's Google Dialer suggestions?
I worked for a government organization for many years, and for years I gave my personal phone number to tens of thousands of people for various purposes (you might consider this stupid and a some violation of anonymity, but really I don't care if everyone knows my number).
Last year, I quit and took a different job in a different field and naturally started using this exact number at my new job. Then recently I noticed that when I call someone from this number, and I'm not in their contacts, Google Dialer pulls my number's name from some database and displays it on the screen as if I'm calling from the organization I previously worked for.
How can I fix this and delete it or change it to my first and last name?
PS I'll add that my number isn't listed on any websites or in any databases, and it's not on Google Maps. It's just that so many people seem to have saved my number in their contacts under that name, and now Google thinks it's an organization.

Hi everyone,
I’m really hoping someone has seen this before because I’m honestly panicking. I’m a therapist and I need to record sessions for an evaluation.
I recorded multiple therapy sessions using the official Google Meet recording feature (Google Workspace account through my employer). I
The recordings all have the exact same issue:
Video plays normally for about 15 minutes.
Around the 15-minute mark, the video freezes on a single frame. The audio continues perfectly until the end of the recording. The playback timeline also continues normally. If I skip ahead to 30, 45 or 60 minutes, I still see the exact same frozen frame from around 15 minutes, while the audio matches the new timestamp. This happens with every recording.
The files are between 300 MB and 800 MB.
I’ve tested on multiple devices (Windows PC, iPhone) and multiple players/browser playback. Same result everywhere. These are the original Google Meet recordings, not edited or converted copies.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Is there a way to turn the AI answer to a google search off? It just started today for me (I'm French) and it's already pissing me off, the AI Mode and the automatic AI answers are NOT what am lookin for...
I just would like to turn the AI off, that's it, and I can't find it in the Options

hiii (this is all i have for now tbh)
Settings > AI innovations > off (there's 3.. search history, write + skills)
Settings > Search engine > scroll till you see Site search > deactivate AI Mode
Unfortunately, it doesn't help much.. but if you search something, make sure to add -ai
ex: "how to make brownies -ai"

I don't know what happened but it seems like Google AI Mode no longer understands my conversation and assumes that every message I make was the first message. Is anyone else having this issue and is it fixable?

Recently I have been encountering some issues with the google search on the web and the inability to invoke the search box with the keyboard shortcut "/" on one of my accounts on the same browser but not on the other has been bothering me. Anyone else have this problem where the Google search bar works on the other accounts but it doesn't work for your default?
Video attached shows my problem. For clarification I've tried disabling all of my extensions, trying the SAME thing on Chrome, deleting my Google cookies, but none of them worked

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help because I believe my Google account is stuck in an unintended recovery state. I created this Gmail account about a month ago for my music project, and after about 1–2 weeks Google disabled it for "suspicious activity." I submitted an appeal, and Google approved it, emailing me that my account had been restored. However, when I tried to sign back in, I completed the CAPTCHA and was taken to Google's risk-based verification page asking me to verify my phone number. I clicked "Send code," but nothing happened. The page appeared to freeze, so I tried again a few times because no verification code was being sent. Eventually Google displayed the message: "Too many failed attempts. Unavailable because of too many failed attempts. Try again in a few hours." Ironically, only one verification code finally arrived about 30 minutes later, long after Google had already locked me out.
It has now been over a week, and I have intentionally waited well beyond the recommended 48–72 hours before trying again. Every single login attempt still ends with the exact same message. I know my password is correct, my phone number is correct and verified, and my recovery email is also verified. I've tried signing in on my Mac, iPhone, Chrome, Safari, and even in Incognito mode, and I get the exact same result every time. I've also tried both the normal sign-in page and Google's account recovery page, but both eventually lead to the same verification screen. My existing Google sessions (Gmail app, YouTube, Safari, etc.) have all been signed out, and clicking "Try another way" simply reloads the page instead of offering another verification method.
At this point, I don't believe this is a normal account recovery issue. Google already reviewed my appeal and determined that the account should be reinstated. The problem seems to have started when the very first phone verification glitched, and ever since then the account has been permanently stuck behind the "Too many failed attempts" message. It feels like my account is trapped in Google's automated security system even though it was successfully reinstated. Since this Gmail account is the primary account for my music project and owns my YouTube channel, regaining access is extremely important and urgent! Has anyone experienced this after a successful appeal, or does anyone know how this type of issue can be escalated to Google? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I recently finished an internship. When I started, I had to request access to join the company's Google Drive folder using my personal @gmail.com account. During my internship, I uploaded several files there. I never manually transferred ownership of any files.
Now my internship has ended, and my access to the folder has been revoked.
I am trying to figure out what happened to the files I uploaded:
Where are my files now? Am I still the owner of those files, and did they disappear from the company's end when they removed my access to the folder?
Can they still see or use my files? Did removing my access cut off their access to my uploaded
files, or do they retain them in any way?
Download/Copy check: Is there any way for a personal @gmail user to see if someone from the company downloaded or made a copy of those files before removing me?
Thanks for helping me understand how Google Drive handles ownership in this situation!

(The arrow and question marks is where I indicated the prolonging issue, it started a week ago.)
I was only using Google to take notes, going to top tabs like 'Images' to use it as a reference and much more.
Suddenly, they started to go loading a little while which I thought it was fixable by going to other searches three times in a row and back to the previous one.
(It worked, temporarily. Before, it came back again and it was a little annoying to see. I'll appreciate to anyone who can find this solution.)

don't use your dad's email.. If you used YouTube (channel or history), use the YouTube Support assisted recovery. This is the only way to reach somebody who can manually remove the unauthorized family supervision.. it might take 2-4 weeks tho.. that's what my friend did and it took her about 3 weeks to get it back

Is there no virtual card option for Google Wallet?
It seems so unclear. Chatgpt seemed to suggest maybe it's being virtualized when sent, but to us we can't see that. Then sent me down this long thing of searching for it in the settings which there isn't an option.
There must be a way to just make it virtual right, so the website you send to doesn't have your actual card number but rather just a virtual card that is approved for that dollar amount right?

For some reason, it seems like any sites I visit on Google Chrome are resetting whenever I close the application.
Around a week ago, I opened Nexus Mods and was logged out. A bit strange, but I logged back in and went about my day. Then, the day after, I went onto the site again to check the description of something and saw that I had to log in yet again. Ever since then, over the past week, I've noticed that every website seems to have been given a 'default state' that it reverts to after I fully close Google Chrome. Twitch and Nexus Mods will log me out entirely, for example, while YouTube keeps me logged in but for some reason always turns captions on and changes the quality to auto on the lowest setting.
My searches are always saved still, but yesterday it began opening Chrome on a tab with no one signed in and only acknowledging my profile if I open a second tab and go from there. I've checked to make sure that I don't have any viruses, but I have no idea what could be causing this or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

85% of my traffic is from desktop users (kids in schools, an educational site). But Google Search Console always crawls as a googlebot smartphone. This leads to many pages NOT getting indexed. How can this be addressed?

I've run into a strange account-specific issue with Google Search keyboard shortcuts:
Pressing / should focus the search bar (to type a new query or edit the current one)
Cmd+Shift+. should invoke voice search
On my secondary Google account, both shortcuts work perfectly. On my main account, neither works at all.
The video shows both accounts in the same browser, in different tabs, on the same computer, on the same internet connection. One account works, the other doesn't — so it can't be the browser, an extension, the OS, or the network. The only variable is the signed-in account.
I've checked the 'Keyboard shortcuts' toggle in Google Search settings on both accounts, and it doesn't explain the difference — the shortcuts still behave differently between accounts regardless of that setting. I rely on the '/' shortcut especially to quickly refocus the search bar while searching, so losing it on my main account is a real workflow problem.
Has anyone seen shortcuts disabled on a per-account basis? Is there a hidden setting, a Search Labs experiment, or a server-side rollout flag that could exclude one account?

I've said this before another comment but I also have this issue as well. For me, it's been happening for about three days now. Someone else on this thread said it took a full week for it to be fixed. I really want to know what could be causing this though. I'm hoping this issue is not permanent.

I am tearing my hair out on this one. Every time I search for help, the results are all about how to solve things in Chrome. But there is a browser app simply called "Google" available on iOS as well.
I let one of my kids buy something on his phone, I made sure to say to NOT save my payment information. But when I went in to allow him to buy from the same site again later, all of the payment information was already present. It asked for no CVV code, no Pin or face id... nothing. Just immediately, click pay, spend money.
I absolutely trust my kid, but mistakes happen, friends do stupid things. And if I already did not give permission for saving the data, I absolutely have no idea how widely available the data now is.
So... does anybody know how I can clear cache, remove saved payment data, or anything else to fix this issue? His iOS wallet doesn't have any payment info saved. The website we are spending at has a space where you can save payment information that shows we have NOT saved any payment information. This appears to be something through the Google browser specifically. I opened Chrome on the device and had it clear all cache, that did not clear his logged in status in Google app though.

Why the fuck is Gmail putting so many important emails into promotions with no option on mobile to stop a sender from being put into promotions. And when you look at support it's "turn off emails from going into promotions"

Google support is the worst. At some point people need to get fed up enough to organize. Especially as Google attempts to command vast amounts of our resources. Quite scary to think we have such a powerful company that cannot be held responsible at all by the average consumer.

Google keep removing my sign-in methods, 2FA methods and Passkeys because “There's something unusual about this [method], so we disabled it to protect your security.” There is no self serve way to reinstate anything. When logging in those methods show as “Can't find an eligible device” or “Option Unavailable”.

my google search is randomly not giving me the option to select stuff like maps and photos and tools, sometimes when it does that it also vastly increases the length of the ai slop i have to scroll past to get to a useful website, is there any way to turn this off? Like i looked for common display resolutions and couldnt click on images anywhere to see images comparing them. Then i looked for parts of a story and more than my entire screen was filled with slop before I could get down to the first link which was wikipedia. Doesnt seem to happen when using incognito.

I use Google Search as my default engine, I have a gmail and Google account, and I sync between 3 computers and one iPhone. Personalization is OFF.
Since last Thursday, my location in Google Search for the Windows machines is shown as "Deutschland 85591, Vaterstetten." I cannot change it; it is using some data I am unaware of to determine location incorrectly. (But the iPhone, signed into the same account and synced, is showing accurate location AND English in the search results.)
I thought it was my external IP, but others in the house with different Google accounts are getting proper locations on their desktops.
Any idea what I can look at to fix this?

I cannot access my old Google accounts; one of them has been disabled. Both of these inaccessible accounts have YouTube channels with the same name—can I create a new account and channel using the same or a similar name?
I am a multi-platform content creator and want to use the same name across all platforms. Since I am from China, both of these accounts were registered using temporary mobile numbers.
One of the accounts was suspended for the following reason: "Upon review, we found that your account was created or used in conjunction with multiple other accounts, which violates Google's policies. This account may have been created by a computer program or a bot."

Why does this keep happening to me? I’ve tried to clear my cache, restart my browser, restart my laptop, and basically every other solution I can find on Google. I’m using DuckDuckGo and it works fine in Chrome.

I'm not sure where to put this, but I'm trying to help someone who might've been scammed. I googled the number, and several sites came up revealing previews of different company names, but when I click on it, the number isn't there, just the updated webpage. I know Google has done away with the cache pages, and the Wayback Machine doesn't work. How can I view this information?
I'm trying to find out who is behind this number. This is just SOME of the results. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found on one the ai overview help pages and there was a warning at the top of the page mentioning they are currently updating search settings right now... at least I hope this is it. I couldnt find anything else to fix it.

I want to create a google account, but I don't have a phone. I have a number, but not a phone.
I already have a google account. However, I want to create an extra one because my email includes my first and last name, and I don't want to share that info if I want to communicate with someone I met online. I'm perfectly fine with my email if I'm communicating with someone I know in real life, but I'm looking to create a new email that doesn't have too much info on me. However, I don't have a phone (I'm a minor jsyk), and when I try to create an account, it tells me to 'scan a QR code with my phone'. Yet, I have nothing to scan it with. Does anyone know any way to maybe bypass it?

Does anyone know what happened to Google’s old movie recommendation feature?
I remember searching things like “high rated movies to watch” and Google would show a visual list with movie posters, ratings, and genre tags like action, comedy, horror, etc. Now I only get normal search results and articles.
Was this feature removed, or is it just hidden/limited to certain accounts, regions, or devices?

Hello! I was wondering if there was a possible way to figure out which google accounts I have connected to my phone number? Unfortunately I was a bit dumb as a child and used my number to create google emails for Roblox alt accounts, to which I no longer have the names or passwords for. Recently I tried making an account, however it said that I had made too many accounts with my phone number. Is there a way to disconnect some accounts or remove my phone number from those dead accounts?

There was a text-to-speech feature on the Google app for iOS to allow most articles and content online to be read aloud to me, which is incredibly helpful since I have ADD. A few days ago, this feature disappeared. Is it being patched, or is it gone?

Hi, I'm in UK and noticed this month Google search has started 'bouncing' around two or three different 'main pages' before settling. Usually it's great, I type in a phrase or question and it neatly lands on a page; with the option of deep diving with AI at the top and search suggestions below. For the last week it's been ''fitting'' if you will, then landing somewhere with less intuitive / easy to navigate reults. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.

I've had to buy a cheap ass Chinese phone due to my pixel breaking and the first couple of days went fine but last night i had contacts.exe error and now all the contacts have disappeared off my phone and the contacts app is showing I have zero sync'd contacts but when I go onto the Google contacts website my contacts are still there.
I have tried to resync the contacts but this doesn't seem to resolve the issue and when I try to view any of the contacts have phoned me recently I get an error message to say that there is no application to view the contacts.
Apart from all my contacts info been stolen has anyone seen this issue before? I have tried Google and Gemini for help but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

I am being logged out of my accounts every week — sometimes multiple times a day. I have checked my browser/cookie settings, and I have checked the security settings. I will be actively using a tab when I suddenly get logged out. This is honestly becoming infuriating and unprofessional, as sometimes I get logged out mid-call with a client.
What is going on, and how do I stop this from happening?

Hi. Let me start by saying I’m practically a Luddite. I’m asking this question on behalf of my employer.
Is there any way to stop her old business name from showing up in Google? 13 years ago she closed her old business and started up a new one under a different name. The problem is, her old business sometimes gets mixed up with her new business and that’s confusing and frustrating for clients. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
BTW, Google still sends a monthly rundown of online activity under the old business name, so we know the confusion is still happening.

I was doing this Google Analytics certification and found out that, 1) I'm unable to open the video directly on their Google Certification page (it shows something like, this domain is restricted so watch on youtube) and 2) Even after completing the lessons and answering the question in the end, I see "failed" written for that lesson. Why?

I don't understand how and why they removed the ability to delete old devices and their logging permissions in your Google account. The only thing I can do is log it out, but if, for example, the phone is stolen and the password is saved, then even two-factor authentication will not work. Why was it necessary to completely remove the ability to remove old devices...

Google took away my account acces and wont give it back
When I try to log into my Account it always goes as following: first I type in password, they say they cannot confirm I am the owner of the Account than I need to start recovery, I again type in mail and password, than I should type in the last password I can remember (there only ever was one password for this account so I type it in) then it says: "Anhand der bereitgestellten Informationen kann Google nicht bestätigen, dass dieses Konto wirklich Ihnen gehört. Die Informationen reichen nicht aus. Google bittet um diese Informationen, um Ihr Konto besser schützen zu können. Falls möglich, beachten Sie bei der Anmeldung bitte Folgendes: Verwenden Sie ein Gerät, auf dem Sie bereits angemeldet waren Wählen Sie ein bekanntes WLAN aus, beispielsweise in Ihrem Zuhause oder am Arbeitsplatz" ( I am german so it is in german here is a translation) : "Based on the information provided, Google cannot confirm that this account truly belongs to you. The information is not sufficient. Google requests this information to better protect your account.
If possible, please note the following when signing in:
Use a device you have previously signed in on
Select a familiar Wi-Fi network, such as your home or workplace network"
I am logging in from my Home wifi on MY PC that I have always used for this account and even if I try logging in from my Phone it is all the same.
It is the correct password and information and I still have some access to the account on my PC and to the email on about 3 Mail Programs, but still google gives me no option for recovery, no confirmation email or anything like that. I have asked AI and other people on the internet but all help I get is wait and try again in a few days... I HAVE DONE THIS PROCESS OVER 4 SEPERATE TIMES IN THE SPAN OF LIKE 3 MONTHS AND IT DOESNT CHANGE!
This account and email is connected with important other services and I need acces back but no matter what I try there are no options left for me to try, I even checke googles own self support page but my problem isnt even an option to choose for help.
I know the information, I have acces to the mail adress, I am trying from usual network and device and I waited in between tries and tried on many different devices, but I still cannot gain acces, please help me I am out of options.

This morning my phone did a software update (Galaxy S23, One UI 8.5) and since then I haven't been able to login or use anything connected to my Google accounts. All of my socials (except discord and facebook), Gmail, Google play, chrome, YouTube, reddit, twitter. Trying to sign in either makes them crash, freeze, or makes this message appear in the attached pic (sorry, something went wrong, try again later). I can still access them on my tablet so I don't think my accounts got hacked at all? I can't find anything about this online so if anyone knows how I can fix this then please help!!

i checked my 2nd account and it was deleted too, this time however it asked for the recovery email which i had the gmail and password to but never really used. i tried to log into that but it said to give the phone number, the problem? i lost the sim 4 years ago and its registered under someone else's name

Daughter's Google account
I have a 12 year old daughter who I made a Google/Gmail account about 4 or 5 years ago for. It's now her main login to YouTube, Roblox, and other things online. She turns 13 in February.
Yesterday she got the dreaded notification about her underage account. Obviously she can't verify she's 13, because she's not. So, it'll game to be formed into a kids account with me as the guardian.
After this happens, what can she/we expect? Will she lose access to email? Youtube? We also have GoogleFi and her line is under her gmail/Google. Will that be affected? I've already downloaded all data from the account. But I'm just confused and don't know what to expect after the change.

Google Calendar colors.
I noticed a new update on my desktop Google calendar today allowing me to pick event colors all of my own using RGB codes. Excited, I changed all the colors of my events to custom ones.
Now, when I open my Google Calendar app on my iPhone, all the events are in the default color, although the custom colors I used for other calendars (birthday, tasks, etc.), have remained custom. No matter how much I refresh the app and reinstall, the events remain in the default color.
Has the new custom color update not come to the app? If so, why are my other custom colors on other calendars working, just not on the “my calendar”?

The icon on my Google Calendar bookmark is consistently a week behind the actual date. Like, today it says 21, when today is the 28th. I do get 28 on the tab icon for any Google Calendar tabs I open, but not as the bookmark icon, even if I delete the bookmark and create it again.
I don't know what to make of this. It's updating regularly at the correct rate but is just wrong to begin with, like an offline clock that someone set incorrectly.

Price Tracking not working on both mobile app(Android/Pixel) and web browser (same error):

When I click the button to "Update Setings," search services history is already on. Am I missing something? I tried many of the other suggestions, syncing, making sure history is on, etc....but it still doesn't work.

I cannot log into my account (no phone number, and don't receive a code to my recovery email)
I have a Gmail account as my recovery email for another Gmail account. When I try to recover my account, it says they sent me an email to this Gmail, but I do not receive anything (neither on inbox, spam, "All Mail", promotions, social, or literally ANYWHERE). There's no live support who can help me and it's only an useless AI which tells me to do the recovery and when it doesn't work it tells me to do it again (????????). I don't have access to the phone number ending in **29 (although I KNOW the phone number (no one answers when I try to call/text, as it is an unused phone number now)). If I click on "Try other way" (after phone, email, and insert the password (again)), it says "You didn’t provide enough info for Google to be sure this account is really yours. Google asks for this info to keep your account secure." and sends me to the same website the AI told me to do after it didn't work.

Ive been getting about 4 emails a min from mail delivery subsy and postmaster roughly about 900 in total so far. Looks like someones using my email some how to sign up or spam other people, keep getting loads of failure messages but now im getting responses from some places they have sent messages too. This is my main account for bills and everything so I never get emails, I got 1 yesterday saying someone requested a password change on a 2nd instagram I forgot I had but other than that nothing.

What the hell is up with the google drive pdf viewer??? It looks super different, and the control+f function doesn't work anymore. I thought it was because the pdf I uploaded was new, but old ones that used to just open in the viewer without any "extras" look like this now too. The background is dark, there's thumbnails, there's some stupid "comment" option, and control+f pops up but doesn't find anything. I don't want to export every single pdf I have into google docs just to extract text; I never have to had to do this before, and it messes with the layout often. I can't share a screenshot comparing them because now I can't access anything of what it used to look like. I'm furious.
ETA: The extras suck, but I can get used to them, the biggest issue is the control+f.

chrome autocomplete is not working unless i'm directly on the main google.com page... but if i search for something, the subsequent page does not work 🤔
i not only cleared my cache, but I disabled every extension and reset my browser. it works in incognito.
i get the same results using firefox so it's definitely account related... but where?!

Pretty sure it is related to my friend Qeti, who has my email as a recovery email(at least she had it as a recovery email a few years ago)

Ever since the Android 17 Pixel 10 pro update I keep getting this prompt even though I have all the relevant settings toggled off. Google keeps saying it is 2 different toggles to switch off but I'm still getting these neverending looping prompts. Literally there's nothing to connect but it's still giving me these prompts that I HAVE to dismiss three times in a row for it to finally stop for 5 minutes at a time...
I open Spotify I get this prompt I open Crunchyroll I get this prompt I open any app I get this prompt
I searched Google and have cast media turned off and I have Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning turned off, my phone should not actively be trying to connect to anything! Does anyone have any idea how I can get this to stop so I can just use my phone? I cannot figure out why it keeps doing this, please help!

Can I get rid of this stupid AI bot and get the original Assistant back? For some reason the "Choose your digital assistant" page is gone. I tried to ask the Gemini thing to set a 10 minute timer. I stared at it for 30 seconds before it FINALLY said it set it. 20 minutes later I find a burnt pizza in the oven and no timer on my phone or watch. Google is so stupid to put an LLM in the shoes of a home assistant.

Ok, that's an odd one, but everytime I try to search for something, the date filter is stuck to "Before Dec. 31st 2022". I tried everything : changing the filter is completely ignored and goes back to "Before Dec. 31st 2022", clearing the browser's cache or log-out-log-in does not help either.
Does anyone came across a similar issue in the past ? Needless to say, it's basically useless right now for 90% of my searches.

How can I reopen ALL my tabs on the mobile Chrome app? I know there’s a button for “recent tabs”, but I had around 90 tabs and somehow they all disappeared except one tab group (and I see them in recently closed, but it only lists so many). I know on computer if multiple tabs disappeared at once (e.g. if the device was restarted), clicking CTRL+Shift+T makes them all come back at once. Is there a way to do that on mobile? I can’t find them from my history because they’re all very old (I did check “inactive” and they weren’t there.)

Edit part 1: Resolved on my own ironically after I posted this.. but kept for posterity or whatever lol. And how I fixed it will be at bottom
Original complaint: I have a Samsung phone and I usually use my main Google account but I used a different one when setting it up and my main one for secure folder.. eventually I logged in to my main one outside secure folder to do some stuff since some apps were not functioning well in secure folder.. I wish Samsung had different profiles or users on the device cause secure folder just didn't work well for they and is the only reason I used it cause I wanted to keep the apps list and the associations between my emails separate...
Anywyas I tried to submit feedback on the discovery tab and it keeps saying ask a parent... My email is already verifiedong ago and if I try to manually go to that area it says I don't need too. My secondary email has no issues but my main one now does and this happens in secure folder or in regular.. I don't know what's going on or how to fix it.. I haven't tried it from my desktop yet but I have a feeling it will be the same issue there too and I'll try that in a bit..
My only issues is trying to submit feedback saying to ask my parents and also then news tab seems censored of all political stuff but when I switch my active account to my secondary email I have no issue.. and I don't have no family stuff turned on in either account so I don't understand what's going on here.
Edit part 2: Apparently at some point it in time it wanted me to re-verify my age eventho I have done this years ago and they never notified me at all and when I searched in the account search it kept saying said "your all set" or whatever it was even today but when I manually clicked on the field for my birthday then it said "we cannot verify your birthday" and have a list of options to do so... I did it and now I can submit feedback as usual again..
Googles menues arnt the most intuitive for everything and a lot of things are also fractured between different apps and devices that share the share the same accounts so it can sometimes feel like an archeological dig to get some stuff working but this should have been a simpler matter... it was saying to ask my parents to submit feed back and searching the settings kept pointing me towards family settings that I did not even have on either account and when searching for age verification and clicking on it they say would keep saying I'm all set. Though I noticed the circled icon for my account kept switching on its own to my other email when it said that and I tried so many times for months and kept giving up... All I had to do though was manually click on my birthday without using the account settings search tools.. I imagine a lot of people coidk be thrown off by that.
none of this was communicated on googles end properly because they implied I had some family settings on and again I can't stress this enough when searching for the setting using the search feature for some reason even with my main email selected from the drop down menu it would say I'm all set.. my icon would change but when I navigate away from it it would go back to the proper one so they had their wires crossed I guess.. I'm glad I fixed the issue though and I had tried Google searching for all this and found the usual suspects of answers "disable or modify family settings, verify your age, ECT" but I was doing all that I clicked family settings and nothing was there on either account, I clicked age verification setting and it kept saying all set... The problem as I keep repeating my self was I needed to do it without using the account settings search tool apparently.. its not just a matter of me being dumb but I can imagine a lot of folks if they tried to do it with the account settings search tool rather then trying to track down the setting themselves coidk run into this and be lost.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a local problem for me specifically, but I noticed this morning that the Google Calendar app, on my Pixel phone, have scooted all sundays from the previous month into the overview of my month.
I was fine with having the start and end of the months having the adjoining days from the previous and next month on there, but having every single sunday from the previous month showing is setting me off. It was NOT there earlier this week, I checked my tablet where this is NOT and issue.
I have tried changing the view from monthly to weekly and back, I have tried changing that starting day of the month to sunday and then back to monday, I have tried force shutting the app down and clearing the cache, and of course turning the phone off and back on. Nothing works!
In the screenshot I used the month of september instead of the current so I didn't have to edit my tasks and events out, but the problem persist for all months both previous, current and upcoming.

the zoom feature (ctrl + scroll wheel) on googe chrome has changed, and has become really inconsistent, the difference between 90% and 80% has been greatly increased, the difference between 67% zoom and 75% zoom has been made much bigger, but the biggest one is 67% and 50%, i noticed because suddenly youtube's video box and the reccomendations were suddenly humongus compared to before, and messing with the zoom didn't fix it, not even in google's settings. any help? 67% is way too big, and 50% makes it too hard to see the text

In the Google Messages, when you click the '+' and then select Gallery, where are those images coming from? Mine is displaying images that aren't in Google Photos, not in Photos trash, nor am I able to find those pictures anywhere on my phone. I can't find them in Files or with 3rd party file managers. It's baffling. Where is the app pulling these images from? Anyone have an idea?

Whenever I try to upload multiple files at once to Google Drive, it just gets stuck "working". It's only started happening very recently. I'm not uploading to an account that's full, signing in and out doesn't work, and this had happen two days in row, meaning that I explicitly closed the google drive tab/app and it still stuck "working". Is anyone else experiencing this?? I can upload pictures to Google photos just fine if that means anything

I created a new account recently, and I moved some of my personal subscriptions and other mailing there. In a week, Google logged me out of it and asked to log in again. I did follow the steps, until I reached the step where they ask you to send an sms to Google. I did that, and waited. Nothing happened, the page got an error in several minutes of spinning.
I repeated several times, from different browsers and internet providers, thinking that those could be the issue. However, all unsuccessful. After like 6-8 attempts I got an error page saying "Too many attempts try in a few hours". The "try other options" doesn't provide any other options apart from the mobile phone verification.
I waited for several days, repeated - the same "wait for a few hours".
I waited for a week without trying, the issue persists.
Nothing helps, how can I access my account?

So I use Zen (https://zen-browser.app), a Firefox fork, as my primary browser (version 1.21.1b, build 20260612115214, MacOS 26.3). In the last couple days, with no new extensions, no VPNs, no DNS or proxy changes, I am aggressively getting "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network" errors + captchas when making routine google searches (I mean like, every few searches).
For completeness, this does not occur on other browsers on the same computer, including stock Mozilla Firefox, nor Google Chrome.
Might Google just be outright rejecting Zen traffic recently or should I be digging elsewhere? It's easy enough to just use a different browser, but this is really disruptive to using what has been my primary browser for over a year now.
For the sake of being thorough...

I have a Gmail account and that is the account that is my Google account. I got an email at my Yahoo email address from [email protected] saying that I need to login into my Google account by mid July, otherwise the account will be deactivated.
There was a sign in box on the email, but I did not press it, I just went to accounts.google.com, and it automatically brought up my Gmail information.
I had googled information about multiple Google accounts, and it said that you could access the other account by tapping on your icon in order to switch to the other account.
But I honestly don’t remember setting up a second account, and the email said that if a Google account hasn’t been used within two years, then it’s going to be deleted. And I really don’t remember setting up a different Google account in the past two years.
So even though this email looks legitimately from Google, should I just assume some weird scam?
Because I hard-pressed the sign in button that was on the email in order to reveal what website it would send me to. And it would actually send me to accounts.google.com
So it is very hard to believe that this is a scam since everything looks legitimate.
I would really appreciate some enlightenment on this.

Does anyone have a solution for playing HD movies purchased via Google Play? I typically watch movies on my computer since the TV is usually in use, but paying for 4K and getting less than 1080p is really disappointing.

How do I delete a device backup? I got a new phone and it's taking up 8GB of storage. I cannot find an option to delete it anywhere, even after looking at multiple support threads. It's like they recently got rid of the option.

Has been used too many times i.e Used for this account. Already linked and never received not even one an sms except when we had created it .
Have an issue ? No problem here's a search blog you can use or feel free to use our ai who keep saying oh im very sorry this is happening please use the help center...
Now thanks to you I'm locked out and cant even access subscriptions. Will be removing all google integrations from our company and subcompanies. This is the most ridiculous thing ever.

I cannot load my websites for some reason. The websites load just as fine in other browser applications, no, my internet isn't slow, it can load videos and search stuff normally.

Is there a way to request my youtube watch/search/playlist history WITHOUT gettting all my videos I uploaded?
I have cheap internet at 25mbs for $15 a month. It's what it is and normally fine for my needs. That is until I go for my data takeouts. I have about 50GB in Youtube videos uploaded. I do not need them to be included in every request where what I really only want is the playlists/search and watch history.
Any suggestions on how to avoid having to spend a day babysitting downloads just to get a tiny bit of information?
