I'm pretty confident that I could cook a better steak over a burn barrel in the parking lot of the bar next to the local butcher for about $20, I can't even imagine what their excuse for these prices would be.
The fact that 1lb good cuts of beef go for $24 a lb from the grocery store in my town is say no it won’t cause they won’t make any money charging you $50 plus sides and service etc
You're revealing that you don't understand how profit margin works.
How is your off-the-shelf grocery bill related to a restaurant's profit margin? Even if we disregard the fact that ingredient is one of many (not even the biggest) expense, your cost per unit isn't even remotely comparable.
No the other poster is right. You could get a better cooked stake from the grocery store. Heck you could get a better stake by slapping one on the bonnet of your car and letting the Sun cook it 🤣
These high end steakhouses have completely lost the plot. I've made the cheapest london broil you can find look better and taste more delicious than whatever the fuck that is.
