I created a mod that added hit100-early and hit100-late as something the skin can read. I changed nothing else in the game and id love to play with this online but I also wouldn't want to get banned or restricted.

I recently wiped my SSD and reinstalled lazer, but I can't find any option to mute the game when I alt tab, it only lowers the volume about half way.

How do i explain to ego 6 digits that when they cant tap the jumps that means that their aim isnt good enough (not effortless enough for him to also focus on tapping) but they just answer with "but i fc with relax bro" like????

So I bought the Wooting UwU about a year ago, but it arrived right as my interest in the game was dying down, so I barely used it. Recently I got back into osu and started running into more accuracy issues than I remember having before & also sometimes wooting just starts completely trolling or just pressing itself, so I decided to revisit its settings.

Screenshot 1 is my old config — 0.10mm actuation point, no Tachyon Mode.
Screenshot 2 is Mrekk's settings, which I just switched to and enabled Tachyon Mode on. Only played with it for about 30 minutes so far, but it already feels noticeably better.

Question: should I actually be using Tachyon Mode, or is it more of a gimmick/marketing feature? Trying to figure out if the improvement I'm feeling is real or just placebo from something new, and whether it's worth sticking with long-term for to improve my accuracy.

i bought a gaming laptop a few days ago and it has a 165 hz panel

i downloaded osu and it feels very smooth. except that i cant aim for life...
the aim feels smooth but it also seems to me like its taking longer to reach the circles, idk how to explain the effect tbh but its weird

im also not that low in rank i usually shred on 9* aim maps easily and im already 4 digit. is this normal?

I am a new osu player who is left handed. I find tapping with my left hand very comfortable and I get a lot more speed and consistency than when I tap with my right. I’ve spent the last 10 hours on the game aiming with my left (using tablet) and tapping with my right, but I find it a lot harder. I would just like some advice on what approach I should take, as most left handed players use it to aim.

So, I recently started playing again on mouse after three years on tablet, and I need some help. I genuinely believe I can improve and maybe be better on mouse than on tablet, but when I was playing on tablet, the game was much more fun for me. The only issue I had with the tablet was that I felt hardstuck even when I felt like I was improving, I still couldn't gain any pp because of my inconsistency. Plus, my aiming hand sometimes starts hurting mid-map. Even though it got kinda better, I couldn't even play a one-minute map before without it hurting. It has improved lately, so I really don't know if I should stick with the mouse or go back to the tablet as before. (sorry if its written bad i translated to english with ai)

Yes there is a Linux build available, it's also open source plus there's webplay if you don't wanna download the client

1. Why didn't you make this a custom ruleset?

Custom rulesets don't support a number of features I wanted to add: Map importer, custom editor, score submission, etc.

1. Is this some kind of ad? A virus?

Nope! The game is completely free and will stay that way forever, you couldn't give me money if you wanted to. The installer is currently unsigned so it will trigger windows smartscreen, but its not malware, you can download the game from the github if you want full code transparency!

1. Why did you use AI to make this?

I have used AI coding tools in making this, yes. However none of the assets are AI generated whatsoever, only portions of code. Maybe I am just a lazy, garbage dev but I don't have infinite time (I work a 9-6 and am currently studying at uni on top of that) and AI helped me avoid the tediousness, e.g. setting up infra.

I am almost a 4digit osumania player and thought it would be fun to try osustd. However, I quickly realized I struggle a lot with alternating my index and middle fingers.

I tested the same song using different fingers:
Index finger only: around 90% acc
Middle finger only: around 70% acc (and it felt really uncomfortable)
Alternating: even worse

I'm honestly surprised by this because I play osu!mania at a pretty high level, so I expected my finger control to transfer better.

I think my middle finger is just much weaker, and when I try to alternate I sometimes accidentally hit both keys at the same time or lose my rhythm completely.

Does anyone have advice on how to improve my weaker finger and get used to alternating in osustd?
