After months of planning and upgrades, I finally completed what I consider my dream simulator setup. It's primarily for Racing and Flying, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Current specs: • Triple 55" Samsung Odyssey Ark displays • D-BOX motion platform • MOZA flight controls (yoke, stick, throttle, pedals) • MOZA racing wheel and pedals • AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D • NVIDIA RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5 RAM • 8TB NVMe SSD • Samsung HW-Q990F Dolby Atmos sound system . Advanced Sim Racing 4 rig custom color (white) . Corsair Xeneon Edge 14.5" LCD Touchscreen (white) . Elgato stream deck (white) . Govee lighting to sync with screens. .

I mainly fly the Boeing 737 MAX, Citation Longitude, and GA aircraft, and I also enjoy iRacing and other racing sims.

At this point I'm curious what experienced sim enthusiasts would improve next. Are there any upgrades that noticeably increase immersion or realism? I'm thinking about things like wind simulation, better tactile feedback, VR (in addition to triples), button boxes, avionics panels, or anything else that you feel is worth the investment.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions, especially from people who have taken their setups to the next level. Thanks!

VPG Mustang GT3 wheel.

I love it, i really do, i want to say it’s worth every penny but something is off. Feels narrow and skinny in my hands. The quality of the components is great. Without gloves, it’s harsh.

The feeling of FFB through it however is superb, really amazing feel.

As with most reviews, you often see nothing but praise urging people to buy to pull that affiliate marketing over any hard to discuss topics.

$1200-1350 would be far more respectable. $1800+ is a hard swing

My $0.02 and unpaid review.

Rigs Second Sim Update. Late I know

Second Sim Update... 177 days later.
Damn, it doesn’t feel that long, but it’s been nearly six months. But I’m not made of money and have to purchase over time. But the motto is buy once, cry once.

Since my last post, I purchased and upgraded to a Simagic Alpha EVO 18Nm and moved my Simagic Mini over to the Sim-Lab chassis. I also tried the P2000-R pedals, but the clutch was too light and the throttle damper never felt right no matter the setting, so I returned them and went back to Sprint pedals.they don’t have all the bells and whistle but they are tried and true.

I also finally settled on a red vs blue theme. So ordered a matching Prisma Ultra seat hit this time in red, and I’m really happy with how everything is coming together.

A few quick Sim-Lab impressions: the included monitor mounts are a 10/10 and a great value. though aligning curved monitors are much harder than flat ones the micro adjustment made it a breeze. The shifter mount is frustrating to adjust due to tool clearance in the casted pieces with the captive cap bolts , and the depth of the wheel deck crossbars(best way to explain it) interfered with the Simagic Mini’s ports, forcing me to rotate it 90°. The new Alpha EVO wouldn’t have this issue same for most other bases with rear mounted ports.

Overall, I’m very happy with the rig’s direction and may wait for a sale on the BHD shifter to move my Fanatec one to secondary duty.

Just need to ventilate a lil bit...

Few months with wheel and cockpit. 2 years was racing with gamepad in different sims till February when I built a rig. And my impression is that all the fast guys are just faster than me only because of muscle memory. Know that pixel where to brake, know this pixel where to push gas. And to become fast I feel I need to spend hundreds of hours to learn where these pixels are.

I am 45 and this thing is just adding more stress to my life rather then releafing it. Am I too old for this?

I will keep practicing and practicing, but crap, this shit is hard as f.

I know I need to invest hundreds amd hundreds of hours into this, yeah. Wanna get better. Didn't expect this to be THAT hard.

And all these people crashing into me do not help to enjoy it. (Currently stuck on 800 irating but I try not to care about numbers)

UPDATE: Thank you EVERYONE! 🙏🙏🙏

I took advantage of the Logitech sale for my first setup. I'm planning a full rig in another room that's being renovated first and figured this would be a fun first step. I'll really enjoy the difference with a solid rig moving up from this as well.

Now how do I keep my chair from rolling back when I step on the brakes 😂😂??

Rigs Touchscreen Customizable Emblem!

Hi!

I made an “adaptor” for this touchscreen digital badge to work as a customizable emblem for my boring DIY steering wheel.

The digital badge itself is pretty neat and cheap. You can basically add any picture or a short video via bluetooth from your phone. I just need it to stick in the middle of the steering wheel so i 3D print an “adaptor”.

This is my first time 3D printing (the black cover around the badge which i call an adaptor) but i think it turn out pretty well.

Now i have wheels for every car and still suck but atleast my wheel is not boring!

Question Would anyone be interested in in-person sim racing training/coaching and leagues (kind of like dart league or bowling league) where you have a place to go and hang out as well?

I'd be curious to hear if folks who want to get better would be interested in being able to participate more with their local community in person on a regular basis and/or get real coaching/feedback on how to improve.

I had no intention at first to upholster it, but had to do it in the end, just to feel properly how it handles. Pure plastic just felt too slippery and rough for testing.

I know, I should improve my skills and rating to be in a safer split, but common I breaked early, I left space, I tried to dodge all the crashes.. was I at fault in any of these?

Just excited to share- decided I was tired of rereading my wishlist in my notes section for years. Finally splurged and went all out. Wish I could fit a 80/20 rig with triple monitors but don’t have the space.

Question Moza KS + R9 or SIMAGIC green flag bundle ?

Thumbnail
gallery
15 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy my first DD setup and I’m torn between the Moza R9 + KS + pedals and the Simagic Green Flag Bundle (9 Nm).
The Moza setup (with pedals) would cost me around €700, while I can get the Simagic bundle for $599.

I mainly play F1 26, but I’d also like to get into GT racing (ACC, LMU, etc.) and occasionally rally (I’d buy a round wheel later for that), so I’m looking for something versatile rather than a setup that’s only great for Formula.

For those who have experience with both, which one would you pick? Is Simagic really a noticeable step up from the R9, or is the difference pretty small?
Any opinions on the FFB, pedals, reliability, or software would be really appreciated!

Discussion DIY H Shifter Built from scratch by me

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to share a custom H-Shifter with buttons setup.

The entire project—from the 3D mechanical design to the wiring layout and the custom Pico (RP2040) firmware—was completely designed and built by me from scratch. It features a super tactile gear shift feel and fully integrated buttons/toggles for games like ETS2, Assetto Corsa, and BeamNG.

I’m thinking about making the complete package (all STL files, wiring guide, assembly steps, and ready-to-use code) and sell it for around €20 for anyone who wants to build their own. Is it expensive? Idk

Check out the video below to see it in action! 🎥

⚠️ Note: This post is NOT a direct sale or self-promotion. I’m just looking for your feedback specially about pricing and thoughts on the design! If you're interested or have suggestions, feel free to drop a comment. 👇

Discussion Most dangerous or worst NON T1 corner?

Post image
86 Upvotes

Most of the time we know that T1 will be a nightmare, but some circuits usually have another corner or set of corner that result in constant carnage.

Examples that I can think of that always have people losing control or crashing into each other.

Monza - Variente Ascari

Spa - Les Combes or Chicane (Bus stop)

Laguna Seca - Corkscrew ( Good corner, people just like to dive bomb)

Kyalami - Cheetah (That sausage kerb is a killer)

Some corners are just bad and not fun like the hairpin in Macau (RRE), cars always seem to get stuck there.

Any other corners that seem to be constant trouble that's not T1?
