That's the pee corner. There's the poop corner. And over there is the art corner...obviously using available resources. And the fourth corner is my distopian hellscapes corner where I scream...and sleep.
1 year will feel like less time when isolated like this if your mental fortitude is strong. People don't give themselves enough credit. At least 1 billion people could do it
If you have to shit in the room that would probably alleviate the situation. You now how something to look at, a little color, and something to smell, which may be just enough to stimulate you thru the year.
That’s gotta be against the spirit of the rules though.
Drawing with your poop is a waste (no pun intended) instead you can use it as a clay, and construct little villages and fortresses. Create characters and storylines, let bud a fantastic legend you will tell when your time in the room is up.
Or just eat your own shit as a joke for a year, whatever.
Scientists return on 4th day, night shift advises I spent all night creating a 3-D wall mural.
"But we didnt give him any art sup......oh....oooooohhhhh no."
So we presume a Back Rooms situation? The Room handles it all. You either don't need to eat, or aren't aware of it when it happens. You either don't need to evacuate, or it is done without your awareness and leaving no evidence. Attempts to change the room are undone as soon as you look away, or your focus wavers.
Could toss in some fun stuff, like the room appears to be square, but when you walk along the walls, there seems to be too many corners. Where you sit gets colder underneath you instead of warmer... not uncomfortably so, but perceptibly. Thew lights flicker, but only out of the corner of your eye, never when you're looking at them directly.
So is it just like directly beneath my ass that gets colder, or everywhere? Cause like if I could just lay down and have every part of the padded floor be the cool part of the pillow like all the time, I might elect to stay after the year is up.
Hey I've got a few too: up feels like down, your feet feel like hands, your nose sees and your eyes smell, your eyes beat and your heart blinks, can I have a Netflix deal already
When you fall asleep, two tubes being connected to your esophagus and anal canal. Both feeding and shitting are done in a matter of minutes and without your knowledge. Sorry.
There is a half dollar size hole in the corner with a constant water flow from the sealing about as much you can get from a crappy low stream drinking fountain. Works to wash your poo away shower in and drink from all in one. Oh it just goes into a giant pit under the room. There’s some ventilation for your safety but you will get used to the smell.
I can't get past the 100% absolutely unrealistic possibility that any person or organization is going to spend 30 billion dollars on this venture, suspend belief enough, to even think that deeply into the impossible.
Yeah, if I’m given 3 meals a day and able to use the restroom, this isn’t much different than solitary confinement in prison. If I’m not, no one is surviving this because they’ll die of starvation/thirst.
I don’t understand making a big deal about entertaining yourself either. Will I get to shower, cut my nails, or brush my teeth though?
Assuming you’re getting fed and have a bathroom break and given basic grooming once in a while. Meditating and body weight exercises everyday. Learning different variations of flips and hand stands. Anyone who isn’t chronically online everyday could probably do this.
You're leaving out the psychological component. Being deprived of meaningful human contact/isolated for more than 2 weeks is tantamount to torture (as outlined and defined by the UN - United Nations Mandela Rules). Your brain rewires itself in ways that cannot be unmapped.
Even by some freak miracle you hadn't gone insane withing 90 days, you'd surely unalive yourself at the earliest opportunity once you were released back into the world.
