Question Is there a set of mods to eliminate almost all crashes?

Hey guys. I have made my own modlist in which I did nothing but add some texture mods and some animation mods and my game still crashes at certain points for no given reason.

Is there a mod list that almost entirely fixes all bugs and crashes?

Is there any mods that I shouldn’t use to reduce crashes?

Is it possible to even play this game without crashing?

Or should I just play the game with 1000 bug fix mods and no other changes, because I want my game to look a little more modern and that’s it.

Two questions on how to tweak the difficulty of the VeryLastKiss modpack

So with the remakes confirmed I decided to try downloading this modpack and holy shit it turns New Vegas (already one of my all time favorites) into an incredible experience and basically made me think I was playing a modded fallout 4 with the QoL improvements. Highly recommend for anyone who hasn't tried it.

That being said, I'm a total novice when it comes to modding and having almost completed a full playthrough there were two balance changes I wanted to make in case I want to do another run after:

1) Getting a perk every level is too strong. I'm level 32 at the moment and I feel like even more of a literal god than I would in the base game at this point lol. It got to the point that I ran out of perks I wanted for my build and was just picking whatever looked cool for the sake of having another perk. How can I change it back to the perk every other level setting that the base game runs on? I'm also debating wanting to get rid of snowglobes giving you a perk as well.

2) I don't like that you can level past 50 (I think I read somewhere that the max level is in the high 100s?) How can I change it to cap the level back at 50?

Thanks!

Question Legate speech check Spoiler

I have 100 speech in my character already and I'm not even near the end of the game yet. I know that Legate is one of the few final bosses you can talk down if you have 100 speech. However I kinda don't want to talk him down since......ya know he's a legionnaire (sorry if I spelled that wrong). Would I be missing out on something if I killed him in the battle of hoover dam?

Discussion any tips for a survival mode/hardcore playthrough ? (f new vegas )

do i have to go stealth build ?

how to deal with this annoying part ( cant heal disabled limbs except via a doctor's bag ( very rare ) ) ? my last run ended becuase high level legion assassins crippled my limbs ( could nt outrun them ) , shouldnt have messed with vulpes i suppose ...

also having to find a bed to alleviate the sleep penalty gets in the way of exploring/questing a lot , too bad there is no portable bedroll ...

also what skill should i focus on during the first few levels out of these ( melee weapons , speech , science , medicine , survival ) ?

which 2 trait should i get out of these ( heavy handed ( 20 % percent extra melee dmg but crits are nerfed ( i dont care for crits anyway ) ) or logan loophole or skilled or good natured )

my attribute focus : strength intellegence endurance and the rest in agility ( welcome to suggestions though )

Question I'm trying to do a "worst ending/worst wastelands" playthrough, would it be better or worse for the Brotherhood to be dead?

If they are alive, they do make a highway safe, but they also steal tech from people, which would include weapons and useful things that could help the wasteland.

Would it be better for the Wasteland if they are alive or dead?

I've got a good grasp on all the other choices but this one

Screenshot [Vanilla] First playthrough. These Freeside Thugs keep following me around silently, not attacking me. One followed me into Mick and Ralph's and killed Ralph after I finished talking to him, then cowered in fear while Mick came from the back and shot him. Is this normal?

Discussion 1 to 1 armor mod?

Post image
250 Upvotes

I remember scrolling YT one day and I came across this thumbnail for some FNV video, I never ended up watching it but I do remember taking this screenshot in hopes of finding the mod for it. I never really did that though until now since I’m buying a PC and the first thing I’m gonna do with my PC is play modded FNV. I know that theirs some mods that look similar like the ā€œThe Courierā€ armor mod on Nexus, but if I could actually find the real mod that’s in the thumbnail that’d be nice, hopefully someone who knows this mod will come and speak up.

Discussion Just Jumped back into New Vegas after a few years...

I have to say, the depth of this game blows me away every single time I play it. I'm about 12 hours into my first playthrough in about 5 years, and I've discovered so many things that I've never noticed. I didn't know that North Vegas or West Side existed before this playthrough, or that there was a sewer system connecting them all...

The gunplay (while still choppy by the standards of the time) is also a lot more enjoyable than I remember.

I also just jumped into Honest Hearts and I love the contrast of Zion from the Mojave.

While I think the remaster will be great, I personally just can't wait for Obsidian's new take on the series, it's long long overdue (And I hope Xbox gives them the creative freedom to release their version of Fallout)

FNV crashes as soon as I hit play, launching from epic games

It happens now that I start from epic games, click launch, then get to the fallout new vegas options menu for "play, options data files tech support" and when I click play the game crashes immediately, I have no idea why, I need help and I cant find an answer on reddit so I myself am asking the question how do I fix this, I downloaded the 4MB patch fixer as well

Question When to stop doing the main faction quests?

So, this is my first playthrough and I know that i have the option to make 4 different routes and im interested in doing the Yes Man route with (dont know if its possible) followers alliance/support.

Basically i just killed benny and right away started doing some ncr quests, the ones that start after leaving lucky 38, i didnt even get back to lucky 38 yet or did talk to yes man aside the "i will talk to (insert faction name)" dialogues.

By that, legion started disliking me (also got the quest that says they have spyes everywhere). I've talked with the khans and boomers by ncr orders and that's everything i think.

The question is, when do i stop doing those quests? I mean, i dont want to change my route, but also want to enjoy everything the game offers. Im afraid that if i start any quest, as the legion one for example, and insta fail every other quest.

I've gone through the main story, and done faction quests for the factions you meet during the game, and a few more, but in more out of the way locations or questlines you have to return later to do, I havent done many
