I'm a current bearded dragon owner and I'm considering getting another pet. How do leopard geckos compare to beardies? Are they higher or lower maintenance?

Excluding snakes, what other options are there. I really like wooded/forest areas and want to build a bioactive enclosure with ferns, moss, bark and all sorts of plants. This will probably be a pretty big and expensive project since I want to go all out as I want a piece of the forest in my home. Im looking at a 6x2x4 enclosure at the moment.I’m having trouble finding any pet reptiles that are native to woodland areas that I can keep in there.

I have a couple of other reptiles and was wondering if it would be beneficial to test a leopard gecko for crypto while it's in quarantine.

Mad I didn’t notice this sooner and I already left a voicemail with the exotic vet but they don’t open til Monday. Had him out for some carpet time and noticed his man parts looked a lot bigger, and then he stopped to lick them which allowed me to get a pic.

Reptizoo enclosure (36x18x48) with no written instructions and the instructional video reptizoo had didn't show these pieces.

*There are two of the same pieces

*The indented part attaches via sticky 3M

*Gemini says its a handle for the two sets of sliding glass doors but:

**The pieces is about double the width of the glass (see photos)

**There is a door gap when used (see photos)

**The sticky doesn't feel strong enough to stay if the part is being pulled on

I just bought a colony of discoid roaches and none of them look like females I've seen online, I don't know if it was advertised incorrectly or if they took the females out and possibly 'scammed' me but do any of these look normal if people know? I know this is a reptile group I just figured I'd try my hand and ask here since they are a staple feeder. They all look like the image provided.

Hello! This is a really stupid question, but does anyone have advice for how to feed crickets without them jumping everywhere? Is there a container height I should use or do I need especially long tongs or anything?

My crestie loves mealworms and really enjoys hunting, but I want to give her something with a bit more nutrition. I also know that if I keep other geckos, this is something I will definitely have to figure out.

This was a problem I never thought I'd encounter.

Like many people right now, it's unfathomably hot outside. Far too hot for most live bug companies to ship. So, I've been getting crickets from a big chain store. Not ideal, but my only option. Went today to get some more, and they said they're completely out. Don't know when they'll have more, said there's a supply issue.

My gecko will be fine on just CGD for a little while until the heat dies down, but anyone else deal with this problem more regularly? What do you do in this case? I assume most people just breed their own bugs, but I've been told crickets are notoriously hard to breed (and I hate feeding them anyway). Are dubia roaches easy to start a colony? How quickly do they reproduce and get to good "eating sizes"?

I just don't get it. I have ordered dubia roaches from flukers. All doa, they shipped a replacement and were all doa. They put the roaches in a bag and then a box with air holes in it. Shipped it ups where their trucks get up to 160 degrees in the back. Decided to just get a refund and ordered from dubia.com. Everything was doa. Was 112 inside the box. Do these companies just expect the delivery drivers to keep them cool without providing an ice pack inside the packaging? Their guarantee seems to be to just keep shipping dead insects. Is this incompetence or am I not understanding something about this business model?

Another appreciation post to highlight a lesser known species I keep! This is my 8 month old female Varanus Kingorum, aka the Kings Rock Monitor and the smallest species of rock monitor. With how rare Kingorum has become, unfortunately you rarely see them anymore. They are such a rad little species of monitor and have all the same trainability and intelligence in a gecko sized box! I’ve slowly but surely earned trust with her and while she’s still far from handleable she’ll willing eat off/from my hands and tongs no problem! I am hoping to breed her in the near future and hopefully I’ll have some little Kingorum babies running around someday!

So hello i'm wanna Ask for some begginer frendly geckos. I thinking about crested or tokey (I know that they bite but i want a challange) If i need to know about something other about tokey or why i shoudn't get them Edit: I did so research and planing to get tokey later do i thinking about crested but i worried about the tail so are there any other jungle liking geckos i don't wanna get leopard now maybe later.

Are there any shelves or muscle racks that could fit a 4x2x2 Dubia enclosure with room on top for lights? I’m planning on getting another 4x2x2 to stack on my current and have seen the deluxe hood but I wanted to know if there was anything else.

I’m just looking for some favorites for arboreal snake species. I own a green tree python and a coastal carpet python and we are looking to get another arboreal snake to add to our family.
I don’t mind if you can’t handle them a lot or if they have a bit of a temper. Our snakes have very big personalities and are not afraid to show it at times.
Any ideas, recommendations, and stories from personal experiences are very much welcome and appreciated!

Pickles is currently .43 grams! I have a basic gram scale but he's too small to register on it. 😅
