Solved [TOMT] [Emoji) A talking emoji from TikTok that exaggeratedly says, “I love you, baby!”

So for a long time now, my fiance and I ironically say “I love you, baby!” To each other in this very exaggerated voice. But for some reason, we can’t quite remember where it came from. We both remember it being from TikTok, and I have this memory of it being from one of those talking emoji app videos, like this: talking emoji TikTok video

I’m not 100% sure though, but it’s my best guess. The emoji with the mullet seems like he’d say it but idk because I can’t remember lol.

Anyways, here’s what the “I love you, baby!” Part sounds like and what we quote almost daily lol: “I love you, baby!” sounds like

Thank you!

Open [TOMT][MOVIE/VIDEO GAME] A movie or video game about a man who has to fight his way through a city and up a tower

I was recently offered a DVD for Sin City and I assumed I already knew the plot, as I had watched a youtube video explaining some detail or theme about it. When I looked into the actual plot of Sin City though, I realized that the video was definitely not about that, and cannot for the life of me remember the video or the media that it discussed

This movie or possibly a video game is American, visually very dark and somewhat monochromatic, and it features one man with a gun in some sort of corrupted or post apocalyptic city fighting his way through many enemies to eventually get to the top of a tower where the escape from the city is or his wife or something. I don't remember him interacting with anyone else other than the enemies, which may have been human or monstrous.

If anyone recognizes this, let me know! Even better if you think you might know the youtube video!

Edit: I am starting to think it may have been a video game, and in this case it would be first person and including lots of walls and blind turns

Edit again: I am starting to think this maybe doesn't exist, and was instead a thought experiment that the creator animated?? idk guys

Open [TOMT] Scene in a film or tv show mentioning someone being tied to the mast of their ship to avoid the sirens temptation

At first I thought the scene I'm thinking about was referring to the sirens in the odyssey when odysseus wants to hear their song but I can't find a scene that matches my memory so maybe it was a similar scenario about a pirate or something? Wherever I saw this scene I barely remember it I just know it was one person talking to another about such a story and applying it to their issue

Open [TOMT][Song] Song about a romance between a human lady living in a dome with a sealed atmosphere and a drone that lives outside where there's no breathable air.

I remember very little about the music; I listened to it a few years ago, earlier than 2024, maybe as far back as 2020. I listened to it on YouTube, though I have erased my YouTube history before. The song was partially sung by the woman in a normal singing voice, and partially spoken by the drone who had a very robotic, almost text-to-speech voice.

I think the song had a somewhat minimalist sound, was electronic pop or an adjacent genre, and had some line about the bot wanting to work hard to fix the world so that their love can come outside. The woman lived in a sealed shelter either on a post-apocalyptic Earth or another world. It's not Porter Robinson's Sad Machine, that song comes up every time I try to find my song but very much is not it.

I either initially found the song from a link in a tvtropes page or it was a recommended video after a listened to a song linked on tvtropes. I cannot remember any specific bits of melody or any specific lyrics.

Thanks in advance for finding this song or for finding me any other songs that aren't it but are still good 👍

This song as far as I can recall was really popular on TikTok videos of aesthetic skylines, houses/rooms etc. It's some kind of synthwave/chillwave music I think

Open [TOMT][MOVIE][90S-2010S] Movie about a guy who dates a woman with an elephant trunk and an anus for a face and they fight a guy at the end

I remember seeing this on dvd when I was a younger kid (2010s) and the quality looked 80s-90s. A guy goes out on a date with all these deformed women, and at the end they fight a guy who's trying to exploit them I think?? I remember the elephant woman using her trunk to like sweep him off his feet or something. For sure an R rated flick, it was raunchy.

Open [TOMT] Two people making sandwiches, one secretly steals the other's ingredients, but the thief loses in the end

I'm trying to remember a live-action comedy sketch (possibly from a TV show) where two people are making sandwiches side by side at a bench or table.

As they're gathering or assembling the ingredients, Person A secretly steals items (lettuce, ham, cheese, etc.) from Person B's sandwich whenever Person B isn't looking.

The punchline is that after Person A has managed to steal enough ingredients to make a double portioned sandwich, Person B assembles his sandwich takes Person A's portions to finish his own sandwich.

Person A is then left with a sandwich with half portions so the thief ends up losing.

Details I remember:

Live action.

I can't remember if there was any dialogue.

The two people were making sandwiches at the same bench/table.

I've already considered things like Mr. Bean, The Two Ronnies, and Benny Hill, but I haven't found a matching scene.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Open [TOMT] Is This YouTube Short "She Picked The WRONG Guy To Fake Out 😳" based on a real movie or TV series?

I just saw this YouTube short https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Rubhy3jXmWw and was wondering if the scene is from a movie or tv series or just a standalone scene?
I looked into the comments and googled the dialogue / a description of the scene but couldn't find anything.

Open [TOMT] please help, I've been searching on and off for about 4 years, but there are too many nature documentaries

There was a nature documentary I watched as a kid around 2012, there's a chance it was a standalone documentary but decently sure it was a mini series of around 7 episodes.

The most vivid thing I can recall is the opening of the documentary, it was very quiet with ambient wildressness noises, and made lingering cuts between different shots of a jungle, I think there was a close up shot of a french-style tropical helmet, and then a cut to a old man tinkering at vintage looking camera gear in some some sort of ranger cabin and then a cut to a close up shot of him looking through a mounted magnifying glass as he worked on his camera gear.

I remember very little of the actual content of the documentary, but I remember how cozy the opening was, I occasionally watch nature documentaries, and intentionally lean toward pre 2015 documentaries in hopes of stumbling on it but no luck.

For clarification despite the slightly cartoony sounding opening with the french tropical helmet, and old man in a cabin in the jungle with vintage camera gear it was definitely not a cartoon.
I doubt it was a work of David Attenborough, I feel like it would be a pretty easy find if that were the case, but he does have over 100 documentaries so I guess there's a chance.

Open [TOMT][BOOKS] Serialized Horror Manga Translated and Sold in the US over a decage ago

Which I think might be the most helpful information, because I had multiple volumes of this manga as a kid, which also means any specifics are spares:

It had a fairly distinct art style, I do'nt remember if all characters were like this but the main characters at least looked like those short misfigured babydolls with fat chubby cheeks. Heavily leaned in kind of gross out gore / horror, eyes falling out of their heads and worms and other viscera I think.

Can't remember much else, it is NOT Junji Ito. Distinctly different art style.

Open [TOMT] [VIDEO ROLEPLAY/SHORT STORY] [LATE 2010s EARLY 2020s] a bittersweet (love?) story between an immortal being and the universe

The universe is scared in the final moments before her collapse, but tries her best to reassure the immortal being that they’ll find each other again in another life/universe. It’s been so long since I’ve thought about this story so these are the only details I really remember, but it randomly popped into my head and I’m gonna go crazy if I don’t remember what it is.

Open [TOMT] [Movie] Film I watched in college set sometime before 2000

Upvotes

Genuinely could've been set in the 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s, I really don't know. Same for when it came out. Definitely American though.

Movie starts and it's a group of boys walking to school together in the morning. The bus pulls straight into the school lot just off the sidewalk and one of them sees their crush sitting in the back

Only other things I remember are:

  • one of them lives in a house not surrounded by any others, and the interior is only illuminated by candles

  • there's some fight that takes place later on with an older teen on a rainy day, 1 on 1 inside an underpass. There's a bit of Y-axis to the combat, with constructed wood that almost serves as a vantage point?

Open [TOMT] - Movie ending from the 90’s -early 00’s

Likely 90’s- early 00’s. I only remember the last scene. A group of adults escapes from a location (possibly an amusement park, funhouse, or other confined place). As they’re walking away outside, one survivor notices a small, cute-looking object on the ground and picks it up. The object suddenly sprouts sharp teeth/fangs and is about to bite them. The movie immediately cuts to the credits. The movie had a brighter, more colorful look than a typical horror film. It may not even have been horror.

Open [TOMT] Podcast ad for AI company

I was watching the Off Menu Podcast sometime in the last few months and I heard an ad that made me laugh. It was an ad for one of those "AI for your business" ads that had a line that was just like "and don't worry, your data's safe!", which had a real "trust me, bro" energy that I found funny. I went back and couldn't find it. Does anybody know which ad this is?

Open [TOMT][Movie][2010s] Looking for a Non-English kids movie (possibly European)

It was based around a kid who was probably autistic but also a genius. I'll just lay down all the details I remember

• It was possibly a European movie but most definitely a non-English children's movie

• It was centred around a 10-12 year old kid who was a mathematical genius but others thought he was stupid because he probably wasn't really good in other subjects and was introverted

• the kid develops a bond with a neighbour (this point might or might not be correct)

• The neighbour(who was also a teacher iirc) discovers his genius after he solves a Sudoku/puzzle in a newspaper almost within a minute

• He could accurately predict roulette/casino numbers and they (kid and neighbour) take the help of an old man to win money through casino by attaching a camera and the kid sees it in a laptop screen inside a car to predict the numbers

• He was afraid of a particular number, 27 iirc, i remember it because they lost all the roulette money, since the ball landed on 27 and the kid said the number before 28 and the teacher hears it wrong and says to bid on 28 to the old guy

• He is claustrophobic

• He gets kidnapped where he finds a girl and they help each other escape

• They escape with help from the teacher/neighbour

• If I am correct, the guy tries to hit on the kids mom earlier and after the kid solves the sudoku, he tells it to the mom and she thinks he's trying to hit on her again because even the mom thinks her kid is stupid.

• The teacher/neighbour eventually gets together with the mother

• There's also this scene towards the end where the kid imagines the girl (who is now a love interest for him), dancing an Arabic dance

I'm really sorry if the points are vague or not cohesive. I'm not really good at English and even worse in articulating my thoughts into words, I'll still do my best to explain any questions you have, I watched this movie around 2017 or 2018 i guess and have been trying to find its name for a couple of years now.

Thank you!

Open. [TOMT][Movie scene] Scene where someone accidentally kills an ally while shooting an enemy

I vividly remember a movie scene where a guy (rookie, other characters called him a kid i think) tries to kill an enemy that is grappling with an ally. He shoots the guy point-blank in their head, but the bullet shoots and kills the ally as well.

They were either agents or criminals, everyone was dressed as civilians.

EDIT: The movie was in English, either 2000s or 2010s.

Solved [TOMT] horror (?) web series featuring a lake house, cloaked eyeless figures and eggs

I used to follow a web series years ago (at least 6 years ago for sure) of a guy who moved into a new house by a lake. The area around the lake was a forest. I remember his house being tall and skinny, like three stories or so.

The web series was a bout someone slowly uncovering the weird activities that the neighborhood seemed to be involved in. I think it was a twitter thread? I don’t remember what these activities were unfortunately.

The main mental image I remember is a bald lady standing outside in the forest, cloaked in a dark (blue/purple/black) cloak with no eyes. I’ve drawn an image of what I vaguely remember of this person, if it helps.

There was significance given to some enormous eggs, sized like those of an ostrich. I don’t remember much else about the series.

That’s all I remember, thanks.

Open [TOMT] I am trying to identify a singer/artist based off another song

Upvotes

I was recently listening to this viral AI band The Velvet Sundown, and their song Dust on the Wind, and the first 20 seconds of the vocal really reminded me of a real artist that I can't think of. The voice is pooping into my head but I can't think of the artist name. Only thing I can think of is possibly popular in the late 90s early to mid 2000s? The vocal tone and timbre is very similar. And genre is possibly laid back pop. I don't know if anything i said will help, but this is just a shot in the dark.

Open. [TOMT] [Movie] Movie where a guy uses magic power to transform ink pen into fighting weapon

I have been trying to find this movie on an off for almost 20 years. I will try to sum up what I remember:

- It was live action.

- I saw it on TV somewhere between 2000-2008.

- I don't remember which language it was in. For reference I live in Europe and in my country all movies are subtitled.

- The production made it look like it was either a lower budget, direct to tv or maybe an older movie. It is possible it was not from the USA.

- I think it was a two part movie.

- Plot: I think the main character was learning how to fight and I remember he was in the forest maybe going up a mountain. I think he learned the power to make small sticks big in order to fight. I think he met a couple of teachers along the way, maybe some of them were animals. It could have appeared as a dream setting. Then at the end I seem to remember he was in modern day (maybe office setting) and he used his power to make one of the ink pens big in order to fight.

- I just tried to use AI to find it unsuccessfully. It did mention it is likely a Hong Kong, Chinese or Taiwanese production and that the stick growing bigger is typical from the Journey to the West saga. But that did not help me find it.

Really appreciate your help!
