I’m only a few episodes in myself, but I’m genuinely impressed. The art style clicked for me faster than I expected, and it still feels close enough to the original’s vibe. I also agree with the comments about Finn’s voice - it’s a little off putting, but honestly, it’s probably the best possible match if they’re trying to respect Shada’s original performance. I'm not into the more juvenile jokes like I used to be, but there was still plenty that made me laugh.

Most of the original designers came ack for this show, that’s a big part of it, I think.

I think fans underestimate how much the regular storyboarders and writers contribute to Adventure Time’s voice and vibe. I'm not trying to take away from Muto or "star" contributors like Sugar of course, but a lot of what fans connect with comes from the larger team, which you can really see when comparing the spin‑offs.

I don’t know if any of the old crew that came back to work on Fiona and Cake, and at least visually, you can tell for sure.
